Having moved from Pennsylvania, we wanted to get a fresh tree for this year. We saw this farm online and was delighted to find one as beautiful and scenic. Love the location and atmosphere

We are new to the area and we were excited to find a tree farm, since I have been cutting down trees since childhood. We were very surprised by the lack of selection. We are used to big tall trees and when we asked an employee, we were told we would be lucky to find a 7 ft tree, which to us is small. We walked the grounds and probably found the last tree that barely met 7 ft. All the other trees were shorter than I was and I’m short. The prices are high for really tiny trees. The employees are nice, if disorganized, and the tree farm is clean, but small. We will do more exploring next year and hope to find a farm with a wider selection, especially in height and width. Take into consideration they don’t accept credit cards, they don’t provide number tags for the trees so you have to carefully watch where they put your tree, and they don’t offer tree mounting onto the car.

Today, after cutting our tree down, I accidentally locked my child in the car with the keys in the ignition. We were advised to call 911 for the quickest available help. While the fire truck was there opening my car the owner of this place was yelling at them for blocking traffic. He never once bothered to ask if everything was ok, he didn’t even ask why they were there. It was disgusting, who yells at volunteer firemen who are there to ensure the safety of the public?! It was an embarrassing display by an owner. I will never be back.

Have been driving out to Middleburg from DC for 6 years in a row now to buy our tree at this lovely farm. The people who run the place are incredibly friendly, and the experience makes for a great beginning of the holiday season. I can’t imaging buying my tree at Home Depot ever again.

Cutting down a Christmas tree is my favorite holiday tradition. There’s a place outside of Pittsburgh that I grew up going to each year. Now that I live in Arlington, I’m so grateful to have a new place to carry on the tradition with my boyfriend. Middleburg Christmas trees is the perfect place to make new Christmas memories.

We had such a great time with our 4 year old«hunting» through the trees at Middleburg christmas tree farm and picking out our own special tree. It was easy parking, they provide you with saws and a wagon and off you go to find your tree. When done, they’ll cut the trunk for you and wrap up the tree. It was our first time cutting down a tree and overall a great experience and we’ll definitely be going back again this year for another tree!

We like to cut down our own tree and ever since discovering Middleburg Christmas Tree Farm, we make a day trip out of it, and spend the day in Middleburg, about 90 minutes from our home in Alexandria. The folks who operate the farm are helpful, and the selection is solid. Dogs are allowed. Check the weather before planning your trip — if it’s windy on the farm. Be sure to remember cash or check — they don’t accept credit cards.

This will be out third year going to Middleburg Christmas Tree Farm, and certainly not our last. Each time we go I am amazed at how many trees there to choose from and how nice the owners are! Last year we got engaged there! After selecting our tree my fiancé proposed:) They congratulated us profusely and gave us a discount! Very welcoming farm and they treat you like family. We will continue to go back there as long as we live in the area!

Love this tree farm. Our family has cut our own trees many times in the last decade, and this will be the third year in a row visiting The Middleburg Christmas Tree Farm. Though it is an hour drive for us, we prefer it over others in the area. The customer service is wonderful. In fact, the first time we went there, I didn’t check the website which states their payment policy. No credit cards, oops! They allowed me to send them a check. Whew! So, for future consumers, bring cash or your checkbook, and save yourself the embarrassment. Ha! The selection is fun. It’s a big farm, with many tree species. The sections are labeled, so it’s easy to find your favorite. Bring your dogs, snacks and camera and prepare for merry memory making.

I have been going here for 4 years now, and is our new Christmas tradition. The staff is friendly and they have a great selection of trees. It’s a small treasure out in the country. The drive is totally worth it and we love going here year after year after year! They have carts you can carry your tree in and the saws are sharp. They bundle your tree and help you put it on your car. Very friendly staff! Great experience!

We had a great time cutting down our own Christmas tree this year. Growing up in New England we cut down our Christmas tree almost every year, but this was my first time in this area, and the first time ever for my in-laws. The experience was great! With acres and acres of Douglas Fir, Norway Spruce, and Blue Spruce trees, it was easy to find several trees that were perfect! I suggest figuring out the size tree you want before going– when we got home the tree was just a bit too short! While the price is a bit high, they do provide complimentary saws, carts, and bundling, and discount $ 5 for signing up for their mailing list. An additional price point for small table top trees would also be nice. My only complaint(and I use complaint loosely) is that there was a lot of dog poop in the section we were in. While there is also a significant amount of deer droppings, the difference is obvious. We were very happy to see a place where we could bring our dog, but was disappointed by others who did not clean up when their dog went to the bathroom. While I understand that this is an outdoor location, it is still courteous to pick up dog waste. Perhaps if the staff could put up a few signs reminding people to clean up after their dog and maybe a trash can or two along the path, that would encourage people to clean up after their dog as well as throw away other trash. Obviously, this is a very small complaint and no reason to pass by Middleburg Christmas Tree Farm, just be on the look out for animal waste as you tour the fields seeking the perfect tree. This was a really great experience, and we got a perfect tree for our house. We’ll will recommend Middleburg Christmas Tree Farm to others and likely be back next year.

We come every year to cut down our tree. Staff is always friendly, helpful, and more than happy to take a group picture for you. Large variety of trees in terms of sizes and kinds, and all appear to be healthy and in good shape. Also love the fire pit to warm up! *update: 11/30* went to get our tree today. They advertised hundreds of Douglass Firs over 6 feet — and in years past we’ve never had trouble finding beautiful trees in the 8−9ft range — but this year we ended up with one that was barely 6ft. It was really disappointing. Still love the farm and intend to go back next year, but hope they will have taller trees like we are used to.

We’ve been getting our tree from these folks as long as I can remember. The place is wonderful, the drive is great, and the selection is fabulous. We spend about $ 100 on an 11′ tree every year. We’ve taken our dogs and grandchildren many times; they all have a blast. The crew is super helpful and sitting around the fire outdoors is just fun. Watch the local roads to the farm and obey the speed limit or your tree could be much more expensive!
