Always delicious. Kids say best Pancakes ever. Best service. Love the omelette and the skillet potatoes. My son thinks best hot chocolate in town.

Great breakfast joint. One of my consistent go-to places in an area devoid of the best daily meal! Jenn and staff provide great service and good food.

My husband and I have been regular customers of Thumbs Up since they opened and go several times a week. We have never had a bad experience either in our food selection or quality of service. Our food has always been prepared to our liking. Jen runs a great ship.

New to Roswell, word-of-mouth from friends recommended this place, so we tried to get in a few times, but it was always too packed. We finally caught a break and walked in the other day and were seated immediately. Nice atmosphere, very cazh, we got our large coffees and settled in. I am a pancake guy and it was my birthday, so, I’m thinking, «let’s go with the pancakes!» I was un-pleasantly surprised though, as, I have rarely MET a pancake I didn’t like, and they were large and cooked well color-wise, but these were just very…“heavy.” I don’t know what their ingredients are, but they were very thick, gummy when chewing, and difficult to SWALLOW I found. Very strange. The chicken sausage, while tasty, was too spicey/hot for breakfast, and the menu did not warn that. Two eggs, VERY small ones I might add, and grits on the side were fine. So, just OK is my overall food rating. After nearing finishing, we now had a line of folks waiting to be seated, and they view your table like piranha’s, LOL! So our waitress disappeared for a good 7 – 8 minutes completely, so then, becoming weary of The Stares, we were REALLY ready to get our bill! When she re-appeared, she was(obviously) busy with others, and then brought out drinks to one table, left, then came back and took orders for two MORE tables. Another 7 – 8 minutes, so now we are REALLY squirming, as we watch the vultures whispering whilst eyeing our table still. Finally, we get the bill and are able to pay and skulk out past the line of ravenous regulars. In short? You’d think there would be a little more emphasis on quick table-turning when a long line is present. «Not mad», but we won’t be back.

They are the most unorganized place I’ve ever been to. I went there one day and watched them write my name in crayon on the list. Then waited 45 minutes only to find out that they somehow they lost the sheet with my name on it and told me I’d have to wait another 45 minutes. No thanks. Go somewhere else. There’s way better food and service other places.

Our favorite breakfast place in Roswell. Everything is good, the food and the service. We have tried most things on the menu… all of the omelettes are great! Our favorite one is Kav’s and we replace the sausage with bacon, add some of their homemade salsa and sour cream and it is delicious. My husband loves the buttermilk pancakes… he says they are the best he’s ever had and I have to agree. Not only is there breakfast good, but their lunch is great too. Their catfish tacos are awesome and their hamburgers and sandwiches are good as well. Great, friendly service too! Our favorite server, Ryan, should get an award!!!

Always a good classic brunch with good service. Miss the Griddle Grits, though, which we were told will be coming back sometimes as a Special. A bit hard to eat Gluten-free here. No GF menu or items marked on regular menu and servers generally aren’t well-educated as to allergens in the food they are serving. Also, today we had a little unpleasant moment when our server asked another server if the chicken sausage was GF. The other server didn’t realize we were asking(for the future) since we’d already received our food. She made an impatient, ridiculing face and scoffed like it was the most ridiculous request asked by a high-maintenance customer instead of someone with a serious gluten allergy. Our server let her know that the couple right in front of her at the counter were the ones asking. She then tried to cover up her look/remark and explain them away, but good Saturday morning brunch feelings gone…

Consistently great breakfast: that’s why I keep coming back. I’ve been to Thumbs Up more times than I can count and while I have favorite items that I keep coming back to, the menu is very even-keeled. I haven’t found a bad dish yet. Some of my favorites include the chicken and waffles, the turkey reuben, and the cream cheese special. My dad raves about the black bean burger for those of you who are into that. Thumbs Up feels like a diner, but the food is a cut above. Each recipe seems simple, but has special elements that make them unique. For example, the chicken paired with the waffles is very lightly fried. There’s minimal breading and the spices are perfect — sweet with a hint of smoke. Love it! The prices are totally on target and the portions are beyond generous. There are a decent number of healthy options too for those looking to eat lighter. The staff is nearly always friendly and on top of things. The food comes out really fast even when they’re busy. And they do get busy. Saturday and Sunday mornings after 9:30AM: expect to wait for a table — especially in colder months when the patio isn’t an option. Still, this is one of the best options for breakfast and lunch in the Roswell area, which is saying a lot considering the multitude of restaurants. It’s not phenomenal, but it’s really good!

Absolutely love their chicken and waffles. The batter for the waffle melts in your mouth and the chicken strips are always so well seasoned and tasty. As for a potato side dish; I’ve had the fries which were good but didn’t compare to their SPUDS! Sliced potatoes with green peppers and onions. Must have it with their house made bbq sauce.

Coffee was ok, Pancake barely cooked. The bacon was great. Been here before and it has been pretty good, today it was bad. The pancakes my Daughter and I got were terrible, the bacon was great, the only highlight of the meal

I’ve given it a few tries. Never super enjoyed my meals. Today, the french toast was inedible(my fellow diners tried it and spit it out), and it turned out the grill was dirty cause other patrons had complained and returned food too. The server was super nice but a bit out of it(she kept dropping items and forgetting things and another server even said«sorry shes – » and motioned to her head like she was crazy) so overall it was an odd dining experience. I love the local atmosphere and think Ive just had bad luck, so Im sure its great normally.

Ordered 1 piece of French Toast and a side of spuds. Honestly could have made it at home and it would’ve tasted better. The spuds were dry and burnt. The staff is very friendly though.

I came here for the first time today and was real pleased with the big, hearty breakfast I got at a reasonable price. On a Sunday morning around 9:00 the diner was crowded but not packed and I easily found a spot at the counter. The restaurant was bright and airy and comfortable to sit in. There is a nice patio area outside with about five or so tables. From the counter, I could look back and see the cooks working in the kitchen, which I always like to see. Service at the counter was friendly, quick, and efficient. I ordered the skillet heap, which is a good choice if you want a big breakfast. It came with two eggs on top of a big portion of skillet potatoes covered with some melted and grated cheddar and jack cheese. It also came with a huge multigrain biscuit, which was real good. The potatoes were perfectly cooked, and were not greasy or salty at all. The coffee that I had with my breakfast was just average. This is a great spot to get a real good breakfast, and it’s nice that they are open early(at 8:00) on Sundays.

I ate at this location the morning of my birthday, January 23rd, and I was pleased with the food and the service. The waitress brought me a plate of strawberry french toast as a birthday treat and I thought this was a very kind gesture. I had the Sassy scramble for breakfast. I like the cream cheese in the dish but it was just a little too much added. But overall it was very tasty! I will come back to eat here! Service was also friendly and that’s a plus!

Thumbs up for Thumbs Up! Awesome way to start our day with breakfast on Christmas Eve. Service was excellent – friendly and attentive(and super sweet to our baby, which is always appreciated)! Onto the food: I went for the hippie omelette, and upgraded to the dirty hippie(adding veggie sausage). This was the omelette of my dreams: egg whites(I subbed instead of whole eggs) PACKED with fresh broccoli, red and orange bell peppers, spinach, mushrooms, cheddar jack(I replaced the original goat cheese), and kissed with bean sprouts. My husband loved his skillet heap – sliced skillet potatoes and onion with shredded jack cheese and 2 fried eggs, plus adding bacon. We will certainly be adding this to our short list of family breakfast spots!

I had the Greek scramble. It had black olives, spinach, onion, feta, and tomatoes. With 2 slices of wheat toast. The wait staff was friendly and the service was fast. Food was good. Reasonably priced at $ 7.50. 1st time at this location.

(longer review with photos on my food blog) This Thumbs Up location is in Roswell Rd South of Holcomb Bridge and on the right(West) side if your headed towards Atlanta. We hit the restaurant the Friday after Thanksgiving(yeah I know…) to a packed house at slightly before noon. Told there was a 15 minute wait but able to sit after 10 at the bar. Our drink order(coffee and juice came promptly as we perused the rather extensive menu. The menu has quite a selection and should be able to satisfy even the most picky breakfast eater, with fine examples of waffles, challah-made French toast, egg combinations, scrambles and just about anything in-between. After a few minutes I decided to go for the Chicken and Waffles — I’ve basically made it my goal to seek out this dish and do some comparison. So far the best I’ve had in Atlanta has been at Bantam and Biddys. The version at Thumbs Up did not disappoint — the waffle was cooked to the point of being still-moist but not wet, the over-easy eggs were, in a word«perfect» and the chicken tenders were lightly breaded and fried. Thumbs Up has definitely gotten eggs down — I don’t know how many breakfast places I’ve eaten where the eggs just weren’t right. An extra star for this! My companions had two very different dishes: the«Carb Buster» and a single French Toast with grits and a side of turkey bacon. I tasted the grits which were infused with herbs and encrusted with cheese — very good. The service was exemplary, at least at the counter with a very attentive server who also manned the register. She was quick to fill water glasses and coffee mugs and did a great job of both answering our questions and making food suggestions. In all we had a great experience.

The food was good. Homemade multi grain biscuits what can go wrong? The wait. We came Saturday morning about 11 am. Freezing outside but the place was so packed that we had to stand by the door. The place is small but waitstaff was friendly and checked in you busy crowd it not. I had the scramble with ham and bacon with a side of grits and sweet tea…$ 18 so get ready to spend about $ 25 – 40 fir two people. Food was hit and fresh. Wait was 25 minutes but they said 15. Will go back, grits were good. Nice and creamy. The scramble comes with 2 eggs your choice and biscuit or toast.

My breakfast this morning was delicious! Ordered the Chicken and Waffle(asked for a blueberry waffle and got it), cheese grits, and a side of bacon. Everything was delicious and the chicken strips were seasoned great and we’re moist. The cheese grits were great too. But the waffle was the best! The blueberries were obviously fresh and tasted great in that waffle! Great service this morning too, it helps to be nice to the servers here… because they remember you… and if they remember you AND like you, the lines out the door aren’t necessarily a problem anymore. ;-) You get what you give at this place and I’ve always gotten good to great service!
