The name doesn’t make sense, well read on! Love the food here. Perfect blend of asian and mexican cuisine! Who would have thought ? The nachos are so damn good, they are actually wantons with all the toppings ! and the drinks, strong and just the way i like them. The service is also fast and the waiters are always looking to please. All in all, an A++ :-) Can’t wait to go back again!

The food was very fresh and the place was clean. I had the short rib and thai chicken tacos and they were derrricious. The manager was attentive and professional, personable and the chances of coming back are probable. They make a mean margarita too! Our group had a great experience here and I’m pretty sure this is going to be our new lunch spot.

«Let’s skip out on the wiki facts and focus on the food. I’m trying to find out what to order on the Unilocal app before the server gets back.» TL:DR [Time & Date of visit]: Weekday lunch [Party Size]: 2 [Location/Ambiance]: Nestled in the shopping center with other competing restaurants such as Aqua Blue, Foundation. It’s easier entering through the light for the Home Depot and Zaxby’s, but making the immediate left and going up the hill. Passing by Planet Fitness on your right. Parking is spacious. Inside: The décor reminds me of a kiwi — mix usage of brown and green for majority of the colors. I guess I would say modern would be the styling. For dining in, there are long running booths with two top tables, opposite with a chair as well as 4 top booths. I spotted a outside patio section and some chairs at the bar, but did not really inspect them closer. Ambiance was regular for lunch, not too loud on the music or voice levels of other patrons. I believe the high ceilings help on the latter. [Service]: Full service. Our server was spot on and very accommodating. Since we were the first table to try out the Roswell restaurant week pre fixe menu, the managers stopped by to check on us here and there as this was also our first time. Food came out in a timely manner, even with replacing one of the entrees. [Food Highlights]: For the pre fixe menu choices, there’s a good amount of value here. Sadly, I feel that when a place is «fusion» the food quality takes a hit and you can’t help but clench your teeth with a «ehhh» kind of response. Drinks: Agave Rita — basic margarita, whether that’s good or bad for you. Not much punch on the liquor, but we did request for a bit more agave to mix in to our liking. Dragonberry Mojito — Sorry folks, I’m not a fan of mints in my drinks. Sweets yes. All I can say is, my friend enjoyed this… with a dash of agave. Starters: Avocado spring rolls — It’s definitely filled with avocado’s for sure, but there’s some flavors missing, like some zest. I think the sweet chili sauce is a better compliment for dipping. Though it’s not a similar type of cuisine, I think Little Thai in Sandy Springs has a better version. It’s not bad here, but could be taken up a notch. Entrees– Tsunami Trio — For the choices available, I picked the Asada Zing taco. Which I would say is quite good, but a little too much shredded lettuce on the ratio. I did like the sauce, a hint of sweetness just to bring out everything. Next; the«BQ» Short rib taco, which was shredded meat in a thick glaze of sweet bbq like sauce. If you don’t like your ‘que wet, this might not be for you. But overall, I liked it even if it was more on the sweet end. Last, the side dish, was the cucumber salad. Our server was right on it being light, because flavor wise– I didn’t taste anything from the oil it was sitting atop of. It’s crisp and refreshing, but not much on taste. The steak bowl — The steak was cooked pretty well and good on how it’s seasoned. The rice itself seemed to have, what our server and a manager explained, absorb all the salsa and then in turn had a risotto like texture. Kinda of mushy. I think if they poured the salsa in a side ramekin or bowl and then added it as it was brought to the table, maybe that could help it. Unfortunately my friend requested this to be sent back and opted for two asada zing tacos with a side of the southwestern couscous. I feel that side had a bit more flavor than the cucumber salad. Dessert — Empanada Pie — Best explanation would be a deep fried apple pie then dusted with some brown sugar. The filling amount was good. Not too sweet for my taste. With the shell cooked with a light crunchy texture. Pretty good paired with the vanilla ice cream on each bite. * [Total Bill w/Tip & Tax]: $ 36 plus tax and tip. {Summary}: I’m not fond of fusion places, but I think for the clientele that this place caters to it’s in the range of not bad — pretty good. For Mexican food, there are more authentic or close to it options such as Mr. Taco or San Pancho, opposite side of the exit bridge. But if you want a place that is better than a hole in the wall for ambiance and you just want to only dip your toes in the«adventurous» food pool, Taqueria Tsunami does a pretty good job and with quality in service. 3 stars for an OK place food wise.

I love this place. Very casual and very easy to get to, for us. I love the food options and I tend to eat a little healthier here, than I do at other restaurants.

I love the creative fusion of asian and mexican! EVERYONEMUSTTRYTHEKOREANSHORTRIBNACHOS — it’s simply amazing! I usually get the All American bowl which is great. My son and husband always try different tacos – no complaints! The only thing I didn’t like on the menu that I’ve tried was the noodle salad – I felt they over did it with the dressing. Overall – great experience, great food, and super cheap!

I am disappointed with the new menu. I have been coming here strictly for the Tsunami Wave. It’s been reduced to about half the size, but only $ 1 in price. The ‘original’ drink was worth $ 9, but the reduced version is not worth $ 8. The food is still pretty good.

Some of the best tacos I’ve had. I’ve tried every one, and the only one that I wasn’t a fan of was the Gringo Taco. But everything else, is amazing. Make sure to get their jalapeño tater tots and save the sauce that comes with them to dip everything else in. It’s just that good. Service has always been great too.

I must say… I love Taqueria Tsunami. I’ve been in here for dinner and lunch several times and never been disappointed. One of my favorite starters is the wonton nachos. What an epic idea folks. The best part is the cheese and toppings are not just on the top. Don’t you hate it when you get nachos and you only have cheese on the top chips? Yep, me too. The wontons are light and crispy. Delicious. I usually order the quatro and sample lots of different tacos. Honestly they have all been delicious. I love the combinations and I even love the tempura fish taco. We first came in here when I was on a pre wedding diet so I ordered the chickpea side dish and instantly fell in love. Normally I would order something cheesy and most likely unhealthy but I am so glad I tried the chickpeas instead. It is served cold and packed with flavor. Definitely recommend! The prices are good, portions plentiful and staff attentive. Definitely worth a visit!

Tacos aren’t that bad(Texas born and raised) and the staff was very helpful with selecting what to order when you aren’t sure what to order. Sad I missed out of the s’more egg rolls(too full). Will have to come back and give them a try.

This place made me feel uneasy. I heard so many good things about it so I had my expectations set so high and I figured the food was going to be amazing. When we walked in it literally looked like a chipotle, our booth was dirty so the waiter literally cleaned it while we sat there which was disgusting because all the food fell in our lap. Just not a pleasant experience plus the food isn’t good at all. Don’t come here. Update: I spoke to a manager today that offered me some sort of credit because of my terrible experience but that doesn’t fix the problem that occurred the day I went. If something goes wrong apparently you NEED to speak to management that day and I wasn’t offered that option. Don’t settle on leaving without speaking to someone.

Delicious tacos and quesadillas! The management was very attentive to us and came and said hi. Good came out quickly and was extremely fresh, we could smell how fresh the Asian Nachos were. The short rib is delicious, get anything that has it!

Woooooo we had a great time here this past Sunday on an impromptu late lunch after some mandatory Christmas shopping. Ordered a steak bowl for the babe and some tacos for myself with the tater tots. Babe’s bowl was the clear winner but my tacos were great too. The drinks are strong! Hence why we went to the bar after paying our bill for a couple more rounds. Even though it was cold and gloomy, the staff indulged us in bringing the cornhole boards out for a game. The patio is huge and I can only imagine it’ll be super inviting at night. We will be back, Baby. We like this place tons!

Completely unclear how this joint does not have lines around the parking lot. Tremendously fresh, inventive fare for not a lot of money, plus one of the best craft beer selections going in the corridor. The apps are all nuts, but the Avocado Cilantro Egg Rolls($ 6) are probably the choice you couldn’t do at home. From there, a billion tacos. Seriously, here’s the range of tacos here — good to amazing. So don’t sweat it, roll with a couple, along with a redunkuous side — fried yucca is my play, but everything down to the side salad WORKS. Just be clear that the tacos are«small» — can’t believe the number of Chili’s dining fools surprised by this — you WILL need two/three plus a side etc. to make a full-on dinner — and that’s great. The range of flavors you can weave together is truly amazing — sweet, tart, salty, hot, beef, chicken, fish, veg — just hit it and go. Or. Not tacos. The All American Bowl(White rice, grilled steak, grilled onions and shitake mushrooms, soy sesame vinaigrette and topped with a fried egg $ 9) is a carb and protein bomb of goodness. Tremendously filling and not at all greasy by itself, to go completely nuts, add a side of jalapeño cheese tots and call Über. You will pass out soon. And again, management here is really trying to serve the craft community. Order a few brews and tell them what you like and what you want. Chances are it will be there on the next visit. Or the next, or the next.

Stopped in before a movie at the Avalon with my fiancée and her friend and was more than impressed by the food and drinks. The jalapeño margarita was one of the best I’ve ever had from a drink menu that head several great options to start with. A nice blend of spicy, sweet, tart and booze completed by a spicy salt rim was a very drinkable experience. It wasn’t acidic either. My tacos went well with my drink. The Thai taco was a right on blend of the Asian Mexican fusion they were attempting. A nice savoriness of Mexican and asian flavors with sesame seeds was very tasty. The mahi mahi taco and beef taco were great too. The cucumber salad that came with my trio plate wasn’t too acidic either and was fresh/crisp compliment to the meal. The service from(Greg or Craig?)was enthusiastic and helpful. Between the prices, taste, portions, and this place hit the sweet spot.

What a random find! I am always skeptical of finding good eats in the ‘burbs, but found this Asian Mexican fusion next to Foundation Social Eatery. The plaza that both restaurants are housed in is large and beautiful. There was no wait on a Friday night around 8pm. We were seated immediately at a spacious booth for 4. Our hostess brought us menus and we perused the hefty fusion selection. We ended up ordering a few beers, too. The draught beer list wasn’t too extensive, but there were definitely some unique choices. I got the Breckinridge Agave Wheat, as one of the only wheat beer options I haven’t tried on the beer list. It was a 16oz pour for $ 6, average in cost. We ended up quickly deciding on a «family style» order: Thai Chicken Empanadas(starter) — comes with three. You can’t mix and match the different meats, even though we would have loved to have tried the beef or Kogi BBQ short rib. Crispy and hot, I liked the Thai chicken for sure with the peanut sauce! The Quatro — we ordered three different Quatro’s of tacos. Each Quatro comes with three tacos and a side. We tried: 1. Baja Taco — the best taco we tried by a landslide. The hot and crisp tempura batter on the fish was beautiful magic in my mouth. The server recommended this as her favorite and we were able to see why. 2. Pacific Rim Taco — also a very good taco. Grilled fish was tasty. Not super memorable, as I was extremely full at this point, but a great fish taco option. 3. BBQ Short Rib Taco — the better of the two red meat tacos we ordered. The beef taco was simple but tasty. Meat could have been a little more tender. The meat was drenched in sauce to cover up the fact that the meat was a little dry… 4. Rising Sun Taco — the fusion backfired here. Too many conflicting flavors for me. I took one bite and almost spit it out. I don’t recommend this one. We also chose two different sides for the three side options: the jalapeño cheese tots and the chips and salsa. The server brought the chips and salsa a few minutes after the empanadas and a few minutes before the tacos, which meant we starving while waiting for the empanadas and too full with too little time to enjoy the chips and salsa. The green salsa had slightly less interesting flavor, but the red salsa was fresh and spicy. But those jalapeño cheese tots? On point. We couldn’t stop eating them. Why did we even order those chips in salsa? Should have just gotten three orders of tots… The tots were crispy and hot, and maybe they were the frozen kind, but they sure had me convinced that they were freshly made, not heated up. Definitely a must order! Overall, we were very satisfied with our meal. I was stuffed to the brim and our total came out reasonable when split among the four of us. TLDR: A lower end of the $$ spectrum restaurant, Casual but modern, Asian(diverse) and Mexican fusion really works, Split the Quatro: go for the fish tacos, And don’t forget to wash everything down with a cold beer!

I’m giving them five stars because the whole experience was really nice. Great service, great prices, and they are building a outside area which looks awesome thus far Our server was very personable and recommended lots of delicious things. We got the fried avocado appetizer… yum! I would prefer maybe a bit more zest in the filling but was pretty good regardless. Came with nice dipping sauces. I got three tacos, shrimp, fish, and a steak one. Really liked the fried shrimp and whatever other fish one I got(also fried). Great taste! The steak was nice as well. Lots of meat! Price was on point. For about 12 $ I was stuffed, in a good way. My boyfriend got the fried s’mores dessert which we both didn’t like that much, but the ice cream that came with it was on point! I’m on a no drinking challenge but they seemed to have lots of interesting things I will be trying in the future. Also, the GM came and chatted with us for a bit. Nice guy. This was on my list of places to visit and I’m glad I came. Will be back in the near future!

We stopped in hungry! This place is I. The same complex as Foundation Social Eatery. I’ve had mixed experiences with Asian Mexican fusion but I was in the mood for a little risk. Risk well taken! The servers are friendly and knowledgeable and the food came out at a reasonable time. The avocado spring rolls are really tasty and perfect for two people to share. I mean… It’s hard to go wrong with what is essentially fried guacamole. It came with a sweet chili and an aioli with a kick. For drinks, I had a mojito and my hubs had a tequila shot. The drinks were reasonably strong and balanced so the alcohol didn’t overpower everything(except the straight tequila of course). It was taco time! You know what’s great about this place? They’ll replace the taco shells with a rich dark green lettuce leaf. I really recommend this option because then you can order more tacos :). We ordered and shared six tacos: Bulgogi Pacific rim Vietnamese pork Rich mans Spare rib Thai chicken The bulgogi was okay. but if you’re used to excellent bulgogi from the Duluth/Buford Highway side of things, it won’t really stand up to that. The pacific rim was a good, light taco with well seasoned fish. The Vietnamese pork was a bit bland but not disappointing. The Rich Man’s taco was my favorite. It had generous hunks of steak that were just perfectly seasoned! The spare rib was my second favorite, also full of juicy flavorful meats. The thai chicken tasted a bit like they’d stolen the chicken off a pad thai. It certainly lived up it its name. There are a few desert options but we were stuffed so we passed on those. No worries. we will be back to try more of the menu!

Great value. The Quatro. 3 tacos and a side. Best value on the menu if want to try several of their many taco options. I got the Asada Zing, Rich Man’s, and Pacific Rim tacos. Also got the house salad with sriracha vinaigrette(?). There are a variety of creative dressings from which to choose. Salad. The dressing is the winner here. It is a red-orange color and tastes spicy with a tease of sweet. I could just slurp it all up. Use the fresh crispy salad as a vehicle to hold this addicting sauce. Tacos range from $ 3.50-$ 4. You pay for the creativity and uniqueness. Asada Zing. Good fusion of a hint of bulgogi flavoring and light sesame dressing. Rich Man’s. Queso fresco. Light indeed! Pacific Rim tacos. Like the others, the protein is well flavored. Another table got the cilantro avocado egg roll that looks very green and fresh, with a medium thickness batter. If I’m in the area, I will come back to try more items from their extensive menu. Interesting décor of colors and lights. There are different types of seating, including a private dining room with several tables and a TV. Service is prompt and polite. Plenty of parking in the lot shared with other businesses.
