Unfortunately the office staff is difficult to deal with on such an amazing Dr. During our first pregnancy my wife was pressured into paying a 1000 $ copy to cover expenses until the insurance was charged at the delivery date. This sounded odd to me, mainly because we had dual coverage on my wife. Of course being the honest giving people we are we paid immediately. Only to find out from my insurance we should have never paid it.
My insurance threw the film industry said to cancel the other insurance because I had the largest package, and them alone would only require 25 $ copays. Which those would be refunded threw my medical reimbursement plan.
Fast forward to today we have a amazing baby girl 2months old. We have been going back and forth with Dr Vinokurs office staff about what insurance will cover. Last week on Friday at 4pm they left a voicemail about us needing to contact our insurance because they needed some info to finish processing the account. My wife called and blue cross asked if they where going to be our primary which we said yes. They said great you owe Dr Vinokurs office 68.00 $
We then called Monday when her intimidating, and dishonest front desk clerk informed us that she could no longer refund our 1100 $ because it was past 30 days. Mind you they could never give us a print out of why we needed to pay this 1000 $. Only a credit card receipt. If they could prove I owed the 1000 $ on paper this wouldn’t matter because I have medical reimbursement.
The hole situation stinks and now we have to go to my union hall and meet with my insurance liaison.
