My second time ordering from China Garden in the past 30 days. It is just not good. The food is very oily and low quality. I ordered chicken lo mein this time, thinking that such a basic dish will definitely be tasty. It was ok, but would not be my top choice if I am given the option in the future. The first dish I ordered here was the masaman curry. Big mistake ordering Thai from a Chinese restaurant. This was a disastrous dish, so bad that I couldn’t even finish. I gave China Garden two tries and unfortunately they did not convert on either. I do not recommend this place!

A friend and I visited this place for the first time since were looking for a Chinese restaurant in the vicinity we had not tried. To our surprise this place was just what we were craving. As you sit on the table they give you noodle like crackers. We had the Fried Dumplings which were perfect from the sauce they serve it with along with the pepper oil you can request if you like to spice things up. I got the house special pan fried noodles which you can taste all the ingredients and yet work together for a great dish. My friend’s Mongolian beef was one of the best I’ve had since it just looked beautiful with perfectly cooked onions, and not drenched in liquid like some delivery places provide. Their portions were very generous and you will not regret coming to this place. Their staff was extremely friendly and you could tell many of the customers were regulars since Macy knew exactly what some of the customers wanted before they even asked for their orders. Definitely would go here again.

A family owned restaurant with very good service. Wish the food matched the service. Ordered Black Pepper Chicken and General Tso’s chicken. Expected the latter to be a little sweet, but the black pepper chicken was also sweet. Too sweet. Didn’t like either dish. Not sure if the Thai food would be any better. Generally don’t find mixed cuisine restaurants do justice to both food.

Awesome awesome awesome! Ordered the shrimp sizzling rice soup, veggie lo mein, and sesame chicken. The sizzling rice soup was so delicious and perfect on a cold day. Next up, the lo mein was perfect. Thick, soft noodles and not a lot of filler veggies so it was mostly noodles which I love. Perfect. Then the sesame chicken… So good. It’s actually chicken, not just breading. I live in Tucker but will be driving back here any time I get a craving for Chinese. Oh, and the wait staff is phenomenal. Patrick is so personable and will have a quick conversation with you. I felt welcomed and like a regular. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars

We’ve been eating at China Garden since the early ‘80s. This is the place that all other Chinese restaurants get compared to, for us and for others that we have introduced to this restaurant. Patrick and his oh, so beautiful sister are very friendly and have been there throughout. They always remember us and our guests, are very accommodating to everyone’s dietary needs(soy free, gluten free, no msg, whatever). The food is always excellent, but one of the things we appreciate is the very quiet dining room. We can converse like sitting at home. AND, it’s very, very reasonable, even at supper.

The food tastes pretty good, but it is priced way too high for the small portions I am used to getting at all other chinese restaurants from where I have ever purchased. I paid $ 11+ for broccoli & chicken, plus $ 2 for three jumbo shrimp. The shrimp tasted good, but they were only medium sized, not«jumbo,» compared to every other chinese restaurant from where I have ordered the jumbo shrimp as an add-on to my meal. Additionally, the amount of chicken in my meal was quite lacking, however, there were more water chestnuts and bamboo shoots than I have ever received as part of any chinese meal. I generally am able to eat from my order of broccoli and chicken when I order from a chinese restaurant for two, three, or even four meals. That was not the case here. I ate almost everything except a layer of bamboo shoots and water chesnuts covering the bottom of my to-go container, and I was still very hungry, due to the small portion and the even smaller amount of chicken contained in the dish. There were no vegetables that came with this dish here, compared to other China Gardens and chinese restaurants I have visited. I was so disappointed that I had spent $ 14 and had virtually no leftovers for later and had such a small amount of chicken that I went back to tell the manager. She told me other people think the portions are large, and laughed when I mentioned how little chicken and how many water chestnuts and bamboo shoots there were in comparison to other China Gardens, especially in relation to the price. She said she doesn’t know how they(the other restaurants) can survive. I told her I cannot return due to the small amount of food, & chicken in particular, I received for the price. She said she would tell the chef. This was my second visit to the restaurant. Both times there were only a couple of customers eating at the restaurant.

The food is always ready faster than the time they quote. If they say 20 minutes, it will probably be ready in 15. I think they add five minutes to be safe. However, The food is always hot and fresh. We have yet to order anything that we disliked. We typically get Crab Rangoon as an appetizer and it is a favorite. Then the main course changes but the Sesame Chicken is always a great fall back. The staff is really friendly at this location as well. I think it is the best we have found in Roswell for Chinese and close to a favorite in Atlanta.

Husband and I constantly battle on who gets to order Chinese food(he’s a fan of Thai house). I grew up on China Garden and even went to school with the Chan’s daughter. It’s simple American Chinese. I always get delivery. One of my favorite things about China Garden is the Pu Pu platter. When you get it in the restaurant they serve it in a flaming dish. It has all of the the appetizers and is really satisfying when I want to eat really bad(as in bad for me). I also recommend the Mongolian Beef and the House Lo Mein. So good cold the next day!

While I sit here with my wife and try to eat what was served to me I find serene and quietness around me. No one is here and it’s 5pm friday. I tried the tom yum soup, supposedly they make thai dishes too. But nothing great. Waiting on the chicken lo mein entrée we ordered, hoping that atleast that is something that wows me!

Was ok, nothing fabulous about it. I expected more since it has high reviews. I most likely won’t be back.

This is my go-to place for crab rangoons and/or a quick Chinese lunch near the office. I do wish it wasn’t ON Mansell, but what are you going to do?

This is the BEST Chinese delivery in the area and I have been experimenting hit or misses for a while. I now order almost weekly. Convenient, fast, fresh, and great combination deal. Also, I am addicted to their Mongolian Beef. Most other place prepare it watered down. They make it they way it should be. Must try!

Some of the worst food I have ever had, delivery was rude, food was ice cold. over priced. Do yourself a favor, heat up some left overs.

The serving sizes and definitely shrinking and degrading. My last order included pork fried rice and there were only 3 small pieces of pork, no egg and virtually plain brown rice. Cheap and not flavored! Very disappointing as this place use to be much better. I am wondering if they are cutting down on everything because their business is down? This quality and price will surely make me go elsewhere. Will try one mor time before abandoning.

Really big portions. I ordered take out and everything was correct. Food was very tasty. I loved the egg rolls. I ordered the cashew chicken as well and it was perfect. They deliver within 4 miles. So if your close, I guess you could use that. I only wish they had a better website. They were really friendly too. Overall an enjoyable experience.

Every time my husband comes back from a business trip we order takeout from China Garden. Our food is always delivered in 10 minutes or less and is piping hot. Our favorite dishes are General Tso’s chicken and sesame chicken. Incredible! We usually order crab rangoons and vegetable spring rolls, too. I haven’t been disappointed by them yet!

The location around this place didn’t look too nice. But don’t judge a book by its cover. I never really dine in. The delivery is usually on time. This is one of the few takeouts that does not make my stomach hurt the next day. The price is pretty high though… Get the Mongolian Beef!!!

I may be turning into a Chinese food snob … but lately we’ve been eating on Buford Highway and frankly, most of the suburban Chinese American restaurants pale in comparison. But to be fair, establishments like China Garden know their clientele, and cook accordingly.(Two couples with us, dubbed China Garden ‘the best Chinese restaurant in Roswell.’) My husband and I thought the food was average. My hot and sour soup missed the mark, and our entrees — Happy Family and House Special Chicken — were um… average. Nothing wrong with them, but not memorable.(The gratis bowl of ‘fried rice’ is really nothing more than white rice with soy sauce.) The staff here is very, very nice and service is swift and efficient.

The ladies at the front were very friendly and as we looked to our left they were preparing for a large party(which had arrived by the time we left), so it looks to be a good location for a party. There was still plenty of seating on the right-hand side of the restaurant and the friendly service continued. We overheard several pleasant interactions with the staff at nearby tables so it appears there were a lot of regulars in attendance. Since this was our first visit we picked several«safe» dishes: I had the Tangerine Beef, my wife had the lettuce wraps, and we both had wonton soup and eggrolls. Normally I prefer a lighter application of sauce, but the Tangerine Beef was served in a bowl with the beef swimming in sauce. The good news is that it was full of flavor and I could drain off the sauce with the spoon provided. It was quite spicy and the glasses for our Diet Cokes were thankfully large. We did have to specifically request a refill, however. The wonton soup was quite bland, but a shake of salt was all it needed to give it at least some savor. The lettuce wraps came with plum sauce and my wife really liked their flavor and the generous wraps were fresh. The eggrolls were basic but crisp. We were served steamed rice, but according to the menu you should be given the option to select fried rice, or upgrade to brown rice. The strongest of the negatives of the evening was the very poor state of the women’s restroom, which my wife found a strong turn-off.
