This park has a pretty good amount of activity crammed into the small plot of land next to 285. There’s a basketball court and a soccer court, both completely fenced in to keep the balls from flying into the streets. There’s a paved walking path from the courts that winds down around to the playground and covered picnic area, with benches along the way. The playground is pretty small compared to most in the area, and it’s on mulch. The bucket seat swing is very low to the ground, making it hard to push, and let’s face it, kids in the bucket seat need pushing. Also, the chains are a little rusty and not covered or painted. The alignment is off — the swing veers off to one side, even when you’re pushing straight. If you’re walking distance it’s a good option. But if you’re already in the car, I would head east to Hammond Park or south to Chastain for better swings. #Yelp365 — 352⁄365
