I had the worst experience here. Had gel manicure done, it was chipped next day. Overpriced, manicurist did not rush me through, didn’t cut cuticles, was very rude. I will not come back here

Summary: I would come again for a pedicure ($ 30 + $ 10 callus removal) but if I experienced any of the downsides I listed below again. may look for another salon to compare it to.
Situation: I just moved to the area and am really particular about pedicures. When I say particular I mean that I’ve had them done in all different places and am rarely satisfied with the job or the service. It’s always just «ok» or average.
I made an appointment for 3 pedicures on a Sunday afternoon — they easily accommodated us (which is hard, btw, for many salons to accommodate that number — plus they had about 2 – 3 other clients in pedicure chairs.)
Business Space: First I wanted to comment on the place itself. One of my biggest aversions to nail salons is the strong smell of chemical, the cheapness of the salons (décor, products, staff, etc.), and how claustrophobic it can feel with the chars and the tables, etc. This salon was so airy — really beautiful with its exposed brick, high ceilings, and simply decorated so as to feel comfortable, but not cluttered. There were televisions in front of the pedicure chairs and you felt like you were in a quiet, private space. That was my first impression. Awesome.
Staff: It’s Korean run/​owned, which is of course fine — except that (by experience) you often get 3 things 1) they push expensive services on you and give you a hard time if you don’t take it, 2) if you get a regular pedicure they kind of rush through you as if you don’t matter, 3) they talk in Korean knowing that you don’t. The first happened — but not terrible — we all politely refused the $ 60 spa pedicures on their menu both on the phone and again in person, opting for a regular ($ 30) pedicure and ($ 10) callus removal service… fine and they left it alone after asking once… no typical eye rolling or huffing. The third also happened and it particularly made my sister uncomfortable because clients are more sensitive and may take your conversation wrong when they don’t speak your language. Whether or not they were actually talking about us we will never know, but they were pointing to my sister’s feet — saying something — then chuckling. So you can imagine how uncomfortable that made us and embarrassed my sister. I still gave them 4 stars, as you’ll see, because at this point in our lives we’ve become used to this with nail salons (unfortunately) but I would hope given the initial reaction to the space and how professional it SEEMED, that they would have exhibited more professionalism during the service.
Service: The service itself was great — the pedicure from beginning to end took approximately an hour. We all felt that the ladies took great care to clean, scrub and exfoliate — especially since we purchased the callus removal service. I did think (and this is part of the reason for the –1 star) that I understood that mine needed a lot of work, but I expected a 100% job. I would say I got about 90% and she just kind of decided she worked too hard and wanted to stop. If she had gone the extra step, I certainly would have tipped more. And even if I didn’t, there is an expectation that if I pay for an extra service, I would get 100%. Regardless, the 90% job she did do — was great and one of the better jobs I have had.
Tip: If you pay more than $ 50 in cash, you get a free 10 minute back rub (cost = $ 13.) Otherwise, it costs money and the lady will come ask if you want a back massage while you’re drying your nails without telling you it costs extra.

Seriously the best mani/​pedi in the area. I travel from Port Washington because the attention to detail and comfort is unparalleled. The mani/​pedi last longer, the place is clean. They use liners for pedicures. All tools are sealed and opened for single use only. They sell Dermalogica products at a 20% discount too. The best part is the free 10min back/​neck massage while you get a mani or dry your nails. I will not go anywhere else as its a disappointment in comparison.

Good mani but too expensive. I know this is in a nice area but they charge way too much for their pedicures. I don’t mind paying a lot for an amazing pedicure but this was just okay.

Honestly the only thing this place specialized in is ripping people off. I asked for a pedicure and they handed me a menu of $ 50+ options, i told them i just wanted a regular pedicure and they seemed annoyed when i asked. Which ended up being $ 30. I was planning on getting a manicure as well but honestly all i wanted to do was get out of there. The lady who was doing my nails, whos name was sue, was so rude and was making me so uncomfortable i couldnt wait to leave. The location is horrible as well as there service.

What a pleasant experience! I walked in for a gel mani and pedicure in somewhat of a rush and they were very accommodating. Started on my manicure (filing etc) during the pedicure. Included a free back massage which I didn’t have time for but they did offer me a voucher for one for the next time I come back… which I most certainly will!

Always a pleasant experience. I forget to come back because I’m special, but when I do I remember why I love it and never intend to stray. Best gel manicure around. And it’s super relaxing, the atmosphere. It’s quiet, clean and classy. They play classical music and there are people that are designated to walk around and give you massages and I love them. Also, my nails look amazing. I got gels and they never chip before the 2 weeks. Love this place. It’s totally worth the couple extra bucks.

Nice location easy parking easy to find. Great service with a smile, extensive menu of services for mani pedi. All tools used are in wrapper new or sterilized condition. They use liners for the pedi chairs.

I absolutely love this nail salon. Whenever I travel home to LI, I try to squeeze in a visit here. The mani/​pedis are excellent and the massages are amazing! Just a beautiful, clean, gorgeous salon space with top notch service. Keep up the good work!
