Found this place by coincidence on a business trip. This was one of the best lunches, I had for a while. Had the Fesenjan and it was perfect. I know the Persian cuisine from my trips to Iran and this has been really authentic. Seems, I was lucky with the service. Very nice waiter originally from Bulgaria who did an awesome job. Some room for improvement: they should make the place a bit more cozy.

Hidden gem, delicious food. Amazing kabobs. Good staff. Been there 3 times in last 2 months. Highly recommend the place. Will definitely go back.

This is the go-to Persian restaurant on Long Island for standard Iranian fare. It is a bit pricey compared to other Persian restaurants but it is one that is approved by Persians.

Went there last night with a group of 7 coworkers. The food was great, the service was lousy! Ordered appetizers and wine but instead of taking our dinner orders right before the appetizers came out, we had to ask for our dinner orders to be taken, had to ask for water refills, had to ask for the check, had to walk the check and credit card over to the bar on my way to the bathroom, had to ask to bring the credit card back. the waiter was very disengaged. It was very odd and very disappointing. I usually have a really good experience there. The waiter told us that parties over 5 have the tip automatically factored in… I wonder if that contributed to his aloofness. I think that the management should either retrain him or get rid of him. He will ruin your business. Unfortunately I did get his name…

Came back and brought the whole family for a weeknight dinner and everyone learned how good Persian food can be! We made reservations because the last Saturday night we went it was packed but weeknights, obviously are less crowded. We were seated immediately after arriving and served fresh pita with yogurt sauce and the green spicy sauce. We ordered everything at once; two appetizers, the cooked eggplant called kashk and the hummus because I tried the babaganoosh last time I was here. The hummus was great but everyone at the table was fighting over the kashk, it was that good especially soaking up the pita. Along with our bottle of red wine, moderately priced, we ordered four entrees kebobs. We ordered the chicken sultani, the chicken shish, the barg and the lamb shish. I had the chicken shish and couldn’t have been more satisfied. The chicken strip in the sultani was a little dry but everything else was amazing. You can get vegetables or fries instead of the rice with all the kebobs which is a great alternative. Be prepared to be fed great food with equally amazing service. Also be warned, you will leave with food to bring home. I have been here twice and no one has been able to finish the delicious food.

I am from the Atlanta area and wanted to try Persian food in Ny so based on the reviews I decided to give this place a try. The interior of the place is nice but could be a little more lively. The starter, which came with a mast(yogurt) and chatni(a cilantro type sauce) with regular pita bread wasn’t very impressing. I’m used to having fresh naan with a plate of fresh greens olives cheese and butter when I go to Persian restaurants so I wasn’t a fan of the store bought pita and sauce but for the entrée portion I ordered the barg and my guest ordered the sultani. Both were really good and we enjoyed them. The kebabs are very flavorful.

I’ve been here three times and have enjoyed the food very much. 3 stars because of the lack of service, customer service & long wait for food(which came luke warm). If the manager had handled the situation better I would highly suggest this to friends and family. After my last experience I was so embarrassed to have brought my in-laws here… but I may give Persian Grill another chance for redemption & update my review!!!

Good food. They make a wonderful Cornish hen dish that is consistently juicy. They have great side options. Service is good.

My friend invited me out here to try it out. I must say this place is really good. We sat down in the restaurant and it was crowded on a Saturday night. They brought out pita bread with two different sauces. I couldn’t stop eating it and I knew I had to stop since I ordered the chicken kebab. The portions are huge. I could eat only half of my kebab and rice. The rice was so good. Good thing is you can take away the food if you can’t finish it. I’ll definitely come back.

If you are a vegetarian, look elsewhere. My brother eats meat and he enjoys the kababs here. I am a vegetarian and accompanied him one day. My only option from the main course was vegetarian kebabs, which sounded good/decent until I received the order. It was basically bland grilled vegetables which anyone can make at home or on a BBQ grill. I decided to give this place a potential second try and called to make reservations. I asked the person if the chef can accommodate me and make something different and was told in a rude, annoyed voice: you can only have what’s on the menu. I understand middle eastern food is meat-heavy, but to offer one bland dish and no customer service whatsoever in terms of some tweaks to the menu is an insult. I don’t care how good the kababs are but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone based on my customer service experience.

My fav Persian place as close to authentic as can be especially for our area I have been to a few Persian places in the city and I still feel it can’t compare. My go to and defiantly always in the mood especially their tadig which is a difficult thing to find well at least great quality. In my opinion I wished I lived closer my fav tadig with sabzi and defiantly ash retash soup !

First time eating Persian food & this place was great. We took our friend out for dinner to celebrate her birthday & it was a great experience. Loved it will definitely be back again. Definitely recommend to make reservations if going on a Saturday but not too long of a wait maybe 30min if no reservations

Always wanted to try the food here and after a long time overdue I’ve tried it and it was delicious! The gentleman at the bar who took my takeout order was super nice so happy to see good friendly service. I ordered the chicken kobideh and it was delish! Fresh and just seasoned right. Definitely coming back!

When you’re walking to this restaurant, the first impression you receive from that outside isn’t all too impressive — however don’t let this discourage you, inside is some of the better Persian food I’ve had here on Long Island. I normally go for the chicken kebabs, sometimes spicing it up with the lamb and have yet to have a complaint. The food is cooked well and they provide you with an abundance of different spices/sauces you could use to further enhance the dish. Although the prices are a little higher than most would want, your portion is easily one that can feed you for two meals. Overall, this is a great restaurant in terms of its cleanliness and food.

14 friends and I came here for a bachelor party dinner. Absolutely delicious. Large portions on each plate. Hummus was very good(had to ask for the pita that’s supposed to come with the Hummus). Kotlets(cutlets) were delicious! And my Chicken Shish Kebab dinner was delicious! And free refills on the beverages! Great restaurant overall!

Heard about this place for too long to not stop in when I was in the area. It’s for sure a remodeled diner, but the inside has a total(real) restaurant vibe. I can’t dive into the service too much as I did take out, but it looked like there were plenty of staff around to handle things. Ended up ordering a Shirazi Salad($ 16, Diced Cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion & parsley) with barg(fliet minion kebob). Initially, I was hesitant to pay this much for meat cubes over vegetables, but I dropped that thought after that first bite of the juicy, tender barg. Plus, this thing is pretty large. Can be shared, for sure. Looking forward to coming back to try more of the menu! Do it.

My bf and I found this place on Unilocal. It was a great find. I didn’t know they had locations in the city and Long Island. I had the steak arugula salad and it was so tasty and the steak was tender. My bf had the beef kebab, which was just as good. Then we had the baklava, which I always love. We also had their special ice cream, which looked like French vanilla but tasted like roses and saffron and wasn’t too sweet. They make it in house, different but yummy.

We’ve lived in this neighborhood for years and have never walked into this place. Just didn’t have an appeal from the outside. When we walked in we were so pleasantly surprised about how light and airy and contemporary it was. Enjoyed a nice cocktail with a delicious appetizer. The rice was amazing and I had shrimp kebob and my husband steak kebob… truly the best ever. And the service was excellent and very, very friendly.

Very tasty kebabs here. — I can’t speak of authenticity but there is certainly a lot of «ethnic flavor». Some guys from the office and I visit Ravagh from time to time for lunch — as it is a bit pricey. Definitely get the mixed grill if you are hungry. just don’t expect to eat dinner later that day. haha.
