Boston House of Pizza

Normally I’d rate a place like this 3+ stars but their attention to detail has put me off my lunch. Ordered through their app, paid and waited to get my food and drink. But surprise, no drink showed up when I clearly ordered one. Tried to call but by the time I’d actually get it my lunch break will be over.
If you’re out of a certain drink let the customer know! Because being charged for stuff I didn’t receive sours my mood and I will no longer order from them.

Please get new employees ASAP! Placed order today @ 5:14pm, doesn’t get delivered until 6:01pm. I opened the bag and it’s nothing I ordered I and they also forgot an item. Now I have to wait for a whole new order to be done and delivered AGAIN. WOW!!! REALLY! I get the 2^nd order finally delivered and I’m told by the delivery driver that they want the food they wrongfully sent me back. WTF When you’re given the wrong food, what good establishment with good customer service asks you to give it back? Especially if it’s fast food either they tell you to keep it or they throw it away (unfortunately) but not only do these employees suck from the way the speak on the phone to a customer to while taking your singing in your ear as if they got everything you said down with no screw-​ups. A course in customer service is needed with the staff and THE OWNER because they take their leads from the higher up! GET IT TOGETHER!!!

I give it 3 stars because although the food that I’ve gotten here is good, the customer service is not! It would be nice if the people who pick up the phone speak nicely to their customers.

Good traditional pizza and subs for great prices. Generous toppings and cheese, nice chewy crust. Yummy regular and grilled veggie subs with a spritz of oil and vinegar.

Terrible customer service! There’s a lady that works at the front with tattooed ugly eyebrows with the worse attitude and no sense of humor. Don’t hate your job and take it out on me. Secondly I ordered delivery once and waited 2 hours for it. When I called they said it was delivered to the wrong place. My question is why didn’t anyone call me. Then I was put on hold to then be told the food was never made. They didn’t offer anything for this major inconvenience. All they said was your card wasn’t charged and hung up. Never again!

I’ve lived two blocks away from this BHOP all my life so I’ve tried plenty of things on the menu. The steak and cheese is good (though if loaded with too much the bread falls apart), the salads are simple, the wings come in small numbers with way too many bland fries than you know what to do with, and the chicken and broccoli ziti is alright (if you don’t mind digging through a vat of oil and cheese to get those three noodles on the bottom — at least the chicken and broccoli are bountiful and tasty). Their food is OKAY; honestly the only things I genuinely enjoy on their menu are the calzones because they have just the right ratio of crispy cheesy bread to fillings.
But as a whole, the quality of their food for its price has declined so much in the past few years that I just had to write a review. My main complaint here is the pizza. Just look at the slice of pizza I received. I swear on my life it used to be and look much better than the airy bread, sprinkle of tomato sauce, and disgusting «cheese» that it is now. My rule of thumb is if a HOP (house of pizza) can’t even make a decent cheese pizza, they shouldn’t be in business. Maybe it’s time they brought back the old recipes. Or just shut down.

STEAK TIPS SUB is fantastic! It’s been around forever, under the same ownership. That’s all you need to know! Any place that can stay open in the same family for decades is worth the trip. There’s a reason it’s still alive & well after all that time! As others have mentioned, the service is fast and no-​nonsense and the food is top notch for a local pizza joint. Shop Local!!!

Pizza slices are great, crispy, not too greasy, and fresh! Sandwiches on the other hand… no thank you.

Love this place. Grew up on it as a child and it’s still the same as an adult. I only knock off one star because the pizza is a little greasy but otherwise I love Boston’s House.

Learned about this place from a co-​worker. I was going to the «no name restaurant“and he said, «check out the spot on American legion by stop n shop». Well, I was impressed with the greet and more so with the food. I got the seafood platter. It was overstuffed with goodness. I was able to feed a group of four and still had leftovers. I hope they don’t change because I plan to go back real soon. Love the place, wish they delivered to my house.

Good and quick food. The service is absolutely fantastic and they are always so nice at the counter. Sometimes the man who takes calls is a bit gruff but they’re no nonsense and always get it right. We order a Theo’s choice pizza a couple times a month, and the calzones, steak and cheeses and onion rings are also very good.
There was one time I had an issue: very young-​sounding girl that I didn’t recognize took my delivery order over the phone and I was uncomfortable with how many times she loudly repeated my card number and expiration date so I told the driver when he arrived. He was genuinely concerned as well, thanked me for the feedback and promised to relay it to his boss. It turns out she also charged my card the wrong amount before the driver left the shop, so I had two receipts to sign. When I opened up the order there was an extra salad so I called to make sure I was going to be charged the right amount in the end. It got a little complicated, but the experience only reaffirmed that they are very dedicated to efficiently serving their customers because I’ve never encountered the teenage disaster again (and the driver told me she was a relative of the owner!). As long as I live in the area I’ll be getting my quick comfort takeout food from BHOP.

Pizza here is hit or miss here. When it’s a hit it’s pretty damn okay. The sauce to cheese ratio is perfect and the cheese is nicely melted. And the crust is not rock hard. Otherwise if the pizza is a miss you don’t want to eat it lol. The ratios are off the crust is burnt or hard as hell. So eat at your own risk. Prices are good though
