Bellecreek Dog Training Center

My first day was ok but Rachel was not prepared and her facilities are filthy. If you drop a treat on the floor it instantly becomes a hairball and my dog was covered in hair from other dogs. Rachel should have been training and I feel that is getting over. The class was only 30 minutes but we went over because she did not feel my dog treats were up to snuff and the ones she preferred were frozen. Maybe she would have provided me the right treats to bring maybe less time would’ve been wasted. She said that our sessions were 45 minutes but that was because she wasted a good chunk of time trying to decide what to do. Her filing system was disorganized, she never followed through on emails and forgot who I was before the two training sessions. Time was wasted because I would come to the training center and she was not ready. She also changed the price for services from $ 130 over the phone to $ 140 in person. I missed my third appointment and Rachel did not reach out to confirm appointment. I contacted her about her poor service and she agreed to give a refund. This was June 15. It is now August 28 and I have still not received my refund. Rachel said that she was not sure if my check cleared but she cashed it a month ago. She sent my refund to the wrong address even after I provided her the correct mailing address. Her reasoning was that she would wait until the first check came back or six months passes and that is was my fault that the address on the check was not my correct address. This is ridiculous. After 2 months with no refund I emailed her and she got particularly nasty. She basically called me a thief and accused me of lying. Now I offered her proof that she cashed my check and she is MIA. I was under the impression that the customer is always right… This was a waste of money and the stuff she started could’ve been accomplished using YouTube.

Nice and large training facility out on a farm. The instructor is great and easy to get along with. She only does positive reinforcement which was very important for me to find. There are many different types of classes available. I do wish they’d vacuum/​sweep up the facility more frequently because every time we leave my puppy is covered in all different types of dog fur. :\

Rachel is one of the best dog trainers I have ever met. She treats each dog and owner as individuals, never insisting that there is only one way to do anything. She always works with clients to find the best way for them and their dog to develop a stronger relationship. Very few people have her experience and expertise. She is a real find. She has helped me with my dogs and I have referred many people to her over the years. Everyone has had a wonderful experience. Couldn’t recommend more highly.
