This store has really eager customer service. They will bend over backward to sell you a shoe. I think some of the staff are a bit lacking in knowledge though. My mom came in and asked for wide shoes. They basically didn’t have any in the store and they kept us their for a half hour anyway while they tried to find something to work. In that case, isn’t it best to admit defeat? Also they sold me a pair of running shoes that were wrong for my feet. I guess it’s the«walking company» and not the«running company.» I’ve taken my running shoe trade to a running specialty store(Run in Fun in St. Paul) and am much happier. They do have awesome socks though.

Long-story-short: I got a pair of shoes at the walking in Houston while on vacation there. 8 weeks later, one of them broke and I had the pair replaced through the company’s online customer service dept. 8 weeks later, one of those replacement shoes broke, while I was here in the Twin Cities, without the box, a receipt or a comparable spare pair of shoes. So, I headed to the nearest Walking Company location and told my tale of cobbling calamities… I was in luck as I found both the Manager, Lori and the Asst. Manager, Joe, at the store and they were more than willing to help me. In under 10 minutes, including walking to and from my car, I had a brand-new pair of shoes. Now that’s how to do customer service the right way.
