Adam in tools was the greatest! He helped me resolve an exchange and went the extra mile to ensure I was taken care of… Thank you Adam for your service.

Just inquired at the Roseville store about a four peice Elite«bundled» appliance suite. the appliance person said the add says you get 4 peices {refer, range, dishwasher, microwave} but you only get 3 and one of those three is not even a Elite series!!! you have to pay more. I have had 3 of the«customer service» people take this info then the phone goes dead… come on Sears this is just wrong

I needed a specific item in appliances. I checked on the web for reviews and availability of the product. To be sure, I had not been to a Sears in let’s say forever. Good ol Sears happened to have what’ I needed in stock. Sure enough, they had it. A few words., friendly, efficient, painless(especially at Christmas) They did not try to push me into anything. It was a painless transaction. I took the tag downstairs and they scan it. No lines. Five minutes later, they bring you the product. Easy peas.

Sears is not known as a higher standard department store. They have the best brand of tools on the market by far(craftsman) but the rest is your average department store. The Employees are hit and miss. Some are energetic and happy to help you, others act like zombies who are trying to find the opening of the coffin. No serious complaints about the store but the credit card department at corporate headquarters are plain dumb ass idiots. Long story short: after my wife and I fully payed off our huge credit card all at once(not a single late payment in 6 years, mind you) they lowered our limit by 90% THEN told us they couldn’t raise it because our debt ratio was to high. Gee… I wonder why numb-nuts. We reminded them they have raised our limit before because of our record with them and we were told that it was all done by computer. I then asked the obvious question: If the computer was so smart why was he even there in the first place… let me talk to the computer. I had to call back. I spoke to manager after manager and they all read the same script of the computer screen and I got nowhere with them. I have no problems paying cash for their tools but I will not put anything on a credit card from them ever again because of the horrid customer service and no appreciation for long standing customers.

+1 for super fast online ordering and in-store pick up. –1 for having a gazillion items online through partners but not being able to use your Rewards Points to pay for most of them. At any rate, Sears is hangin’ in the game, but they are changing fast enough. I do love that they do e-receipts, gives you points for purchases, and you can buy pretty much anything you need for your home. Very convenient, but sometimes not the best on pricing.

How is this place even still in business? Probably because Craftsman is the only thing worth buying here anymore. I figured when the big fire happened(don’t get me wrong, it was very very horrible what happened) I figured Sears would just take the insurance money and check out of this mall. But they surprisingly rebuilt and stayed. I give this place two stars because the staff is always really nice, despite a couple wierdos that seem to work here… like stalker-type dudes… and because my husband is always able to find his tools here that he likes. For anything other than tools, no thank you… I’ll go to Penney’s or Kohl’s

Geez Sears, what the hell happened? Sears used to be an OK place as even if, their normal clothes lines are shit, they at least carried Lands End items which are very nice. Well, the store has moved further downhill, in that it now just looks like a glorified K-Mart. Don’t get me wrong… Some things at Sears still don’t completely suck. The Automotive Center is good, they always have good products, and good service. The Tool Section is OK, but I don’t buy tools; so the only experience I have with that is when I have had to go in there like a clueless wonder to get a tool as per my husband’s request, and have the staff help me find it. That said, the rest of the store is still just shit. I went in there the other day to find some Lands End water shoes and a pair of shorts. The displays were a mess, the racks were empty, and none of the clerks knew how to help me. I will keep my Lands End purchases restricted to on-line transactions in the future, as I can’t stand wading through a messy store filled with quasi-Wal Mart type goods and clueless people. I know of better ways to spend my money.
