We’ve had this place a few times lately and it has been great. I ordered broccoli beef and honey walnut shrimp this last time I went. I do think the portion of honey walnut shrimp was a little skimpy compared to the broccoli beef. But it was overall delicious and fresh!

Normally I would give this place about three stars because the food is pretty good, let’s face it, it’s Panda. Other reviews are correct when they say they are skimpy on the portion sizes though. I had the most appalling experience there a few weeks ago, and it’s bothered me so badly I just HAD to write about it. I hope the owners read the following, so they know what’s going on in their restaurant. Standing in line I watched this young man who I assume must’ve been the manager because he was wearing a black shirt– walk around verbally abusing and braiding his employees constantly. He reminded me of an angry tiny Chihuahua biting and yapping at everyone’s heels. The employees were trying hard to keep up with orders and do their jobs, however every few seconds he would just point at somebody and start shouting at them. This tiny tyrant was absolutely 100% the most rude manager I have ever seen in my entire life. Everyone else in the line I observed was also staring at him, mouths open, in shock. I must point out that from my observations nobody was doing anything wrong, everything was coming along smoothly you like it always does at a Panda restaurant, however he was nitpicking every tiny detail anybody did that, in his eyes must have seemed wrong and belittled them about it. When it was my turn to pay, he walked up to the employee that was ringing me up, disregarded the fact that she and I were having a conversation, interrupted me(he full on cut me off, speaking over me) while pointing at her and very loudly and very rudely said«why are you wearing a sweater are you cold, is it cold in here? take off your sweater». The employee tried to answer him, but at the same time was trying to continue customer service with me while not ignoring me and ringing me up. Finally I looked at him and I asked him«are you the manager?» He said yes and at that point I told him that I have never seen somebody speak to their employees that rudely in my entire life. That I too am a general manager of a restaurant and to speak to people like that, especially in front of customers is outrageous. There is a time and a place and this absolutely was not it. He said he was just trying to get her to take off her sweater and I told him that it didn’t matter, his behavior, tone, attitude, was unacceptable. Just because you are the manager, doesn’t give you total freedom to treat your employees like crap, say whatever you want to them, and speak to them any way you wish. Everyone deserves respect. I understand that this might be a cultural thing, him having a very heavy Chinese accent. However we are in California, not Beijing, and that kind of blatant rudeness is not excepted or tolerated in our culture, and he needs to learn a quick hard lesson in manners and humility. If he were my employee, and I saw him treating his subordinates like that, I’d have fired him on the spot. I feel awful for those poor employees.

This store has violated my 3 strikes rule. Last two drive thru visits produced portions so small, I finished them, while waiting for the intersection light to turn green, ridiculous. Called management, they didn’t seem to find it was an issue, IE sounds like they are portion cutting intentionally from what she was and was not saying. Tonight’s visit produced the worst quality control to date from a Panda, I’d categorize it as cheap Chinese food quality, horrible. The other time was an instore visit which they mis-filled my order prompting me to wait at the front register for them to correct, which, also proved to be a problem too(seriously?). Will not be returning for 6 months, filed a complaint with corporate against management as that many problems = management problem, not individual problems that are individually correctable.

Took 45 minutes to get my food, way to much time in the drive through. Had to park my truck to the side and wait for my food to be ready, after 15 minutes no one brought my food, I went inside to see what the problem was and they had not started preparing my food, had to wait longer. No happy with this location.

I love Panda Express, but somethings just wrong at this location. I’ve been thru their drive-thru a couple times but it was slow, so I decided to go inside to order… they were still slow, apparently they«run out» and then get behind. The tables and floor were dirty; and the bathroom needed to be cleaned. My guess is that this location is just poorly managed — my friend now just calls it «Panda Garbage Can».

I have been to better panda expresses, I’m about consistency in the portions. I go to different panda expresses and order the same thing i ordered here and get bigger portions. They are skimpy here today! I LOVEFOODAND I WANTQUALITY, SIZEANDGOODSERVICE! I didn’t get it here. Venting my opinion. They are a chain business and consistency is important to match all locations. They don’t talk or welcome you here. Teach your employees to greet people and treat them graciously. Sincerely still HUNGRY. Lol.

So I’ve been to this place a few times hoping that maybe my last trip here was maybe just a one time deal, but after this last trip. I vow that I will drive to the other side of the city to go to panda. The first time I made the mistake of coming to this store. The drive trough took 45 min to get from entrance to exit. Okay well maybe that was just a bad day. Second time some new hire who looked like it actually may have been the first time dealing with public. but that’s not the issue the issue is I paid for my food, got my food(light one of the items I had ordered) and the employee never returned my atm card. After two days of looking everywhere for my card. I finally back tracked my steps. Thankfully they still had my card. Today normal service I got my atm back but get home and boom my food looks like they put in the container and shook it up as if it was a tossed salad. Asked for sauce on the side for my teriyaki chicken. Guess what wasn’t there… that’s right the teriyaki for my teriyaki chicken.

Went here the other day and had the worst experience ever there I won’t be going back not only does it take way too long but the manager Nahn I think was so rude to every customer and would make you feel dumb for asking a question he seemed very inconvenienced by having to deal with people and the very nice girl at the register went out of her way to help a confused customer and it interfered with our order but we were okay with that and the manager came over to her and yelled at her in front of a ton of customers and gave her a really bad look and that alone makes me not want to go there again and I don’t even want to talk about how flavorless the food was.

This is my neighborhood location. It gets busy and I can understand that. Ive eaten here many times with great service and on occasion not so great service. This is the first not so happy trip worth noting. Food was tasty and hot. My comment is about the accuracy of service experienced in the drive through. A simple two entrée dish. Correct items except I think its a rip off to charge $ 1.25 extra for shrimp when they only gave me 6. Not justifiable. Will not do that again. Two orders of pot stickers. Wrong. Should have received 6, instead 5 were in the carton. Plus the napkins were bunched up. No soy sauce or fortune cookie. :’(Really? Come on guys… get the details right.

Wanted a quick lunch and decided on Chinese. Ordered online and was told food would be ready in about 20 minutes. It was. It was generally pretty good, except for the Beijing Beef. It tasted like cardboard. Beef broccoli, on the other hand, was tender and delicious. The big disappointment came as my husband and I were getting to the bottom of our take-out containers. The bottom sections actually have raised platforms in them, so you are fooled into thinking you have more food than you actually do. Really? Why?

Disgusting and vile. Avoid this like Ebola! Made the mistake of coming here at 9pm on Tuesday. Ordered family meal for three. Was told no beef dishes were ready and I would have to wait 7 – 11 minutes for them. Settled for Teriyaki Chicken, Sweet Fire Chicken, and Kung Pao chicken. My total was $ 32.25. The lady at the drive thru said do you want the 75 cents dat dat dat. She kept saying as fast as a cattle auctioneer do you want to donate 75cents to U C Davis. I just said no because I was not understanding the rapid fire request. So I get to the window and I have to wait 7 minutes even though I selected items that were ready to go. I get my food home. No Kung Pao, instead orange chicken… not what I ordered and now I have 2 chicken dishes that I didn’t want in the first place because no beef dishes were ready. I open the teriyaki chicken and it is DRY, like the California drought, and charred all to hell on one side. I was so embarrassed that I put this«food» in front of my family. We threw it out and made Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches. Negative two stars! Wearing your name badge upside down K a t e… so telling.

This restaurant went down hill. The chow mein has no bean sprouts, mainly just noodles. The meat sides all have massive amounts of fat and even gristle. It’s mainly tasty, but half of the meat is fat that’s chewy and gets sput out. Don’t think I’ll be going back. Kind of a rip off.

My young son(4Yrs) Tobias is a picky eater and Panda Express AKA ‘Noodles and Rice’ to my boy. This means we eat here 4 out of 5 days for lunch. So, I’m already used to many different Panda Express locations and have learned to ‘put up with’ some good rice some bad, hard meat and juicy. But most often I am pleased with being treated well and seeing friendly employees. On 3⁄17 a Tuesday for lunch everything seemed OKAY until I got to the cashier. It says Kate M. on the receipt but somehow she did not seem to be Kate. After handing my debit card to Kate, she handed it back and said, «Do you have Ten Dollars Cash?» no explanation just the curt request. I said I didn’t understand, but assumed my card didn’t work, so I tried to hand her another one. The response/explanation I received in return: 1. Was very rude tone 2. I could not understand what she was trying to tell me. NOW, the manager/superior got involved: He asked the same question without an explanation, «Do you have Ten Dollars Cash?» When I explained I didn’t understand, he said the the cashier had made a mistake and I NEEDED to pay in cash. He stood and stared at me as if waiting for me to comply. (Who wouldn’t assume this was to cover cashiers mistake) Then he was OBVIOUSLY very frustrated and forced her to ring the SAME card. I was now upset being treated like this, even by management. I could not leave without upsetting my son who does not TRANSITION well especially from a forward motion or action. I sat down to my food to make the most of it. IMPOSSIBLE. The Chicken Fire was cold and tough. The Beijing Beef was the same. I am only writing this negative review, because I sought to go through the survey and at least get a free entrée. Here was a surprise. If you start off the survey with a negative response they shut it down say THANKYOU and give the code for free item

As a former associate, I can honestly state that I did enjoy working at this particular location mainly due to the employees and friendly customers. However, many customers fail to realize that our daily tasks are much more difficult than they would like to believe. This store is constantly busy with some downtime during the late afternoon. Do not blame the employees if everything is not readily available. It happens when people order several plates at a time or Family Feasts. We try our best to call for food when necessary. We only have one cook who prepares all the entrees as quickly as they can for the front AND drive-thru. Would you prefer if we made large amounts of food and just let it sit under a heat lamp? Do not blame the employees if the drive-thru is «long and slow.» What do you expect during rush hour? We make each plate to order, and many people order at least three to five plates. For drive-thru, one person’s tasks include the following: greet and take orders, verify that each order is correct, complete transactions, double-check each plate, package orders, ask customers if they need anything else, and call for food if necessary. One other person prepares the orders. If a certain item is waiting, obviously, it’s going to take a bit longer. Be patient. Each plate is prepared as quickly and carefully as possible. We do try to avoid any type of mistake. Some customers are specific in how they would like their order(s) made.(«Can you try to avoid the cabbage and onions in the noodles? Last time, you guys didn’t do it.» «I’ll have the Beijing Beef, but I don’t want any of those vegetables in it.») Do not blame the employees if we no longer carry your favorite entrees from more than two years ago.(«Do you have Sweet and Sour Pork?» «How do you not have Kobari Beef anymore?!») Speak to corporate. Do not yell at the associate who has no control over what items were removed from the menu. In order to keep food costs low, the kitchen slows down the cooking process at around 9:00pm or so. If we don’t have something, either wait or get another item. It is not that difficult and not something to become angry about. Why would we cook everything only to have it thrown away at the end of the night? Lastly, yes, many employees can and may appear frustrated or stressed out. Do not assume that we are constantly disrespectful towards each other. *cough* Jody P. *cough* Most, if not all employees actually get along very well with one another. Tips: If you want to avoid those long lines, gee, maybe you should take advantage of our online ordering. The best time to come in is approximately 8:00pm, which is post-rush hour madness. Most importantly, respect others, especially those who are just doing their job. Genuinely thank and be courteous to the associates because we are all human.

The only good thing about this location is Ka. She is responsible and professional & knows what customer service is about. Unfortunately noone else that works here is as professional or courteous. The food is always disgusting and dry. Fast Food Faux Chinese. Nothing about this place is fast either. Better service at Mc’Ds which I hate. Its not all the employees fault though. The food menu that keeps changing and cutting the old classics like Sweet & Sour Chicken or pork is ridiculous.

I laugh at some people’s comments. I give this place a four just because I used to work here at this location. I see some of you have complaints on the drive thru. Honestly you’ll never learn how difficult it is when you wait such a long period of time if you have to work by yourself practically(during lunch) taking orders, giving out the order, making sure there is enough food, making the plates, and receiving payment while smiling and doing customer service. Yes, we are humans, and we make mistakes. Jeez cut off our arm and leg for it. Lol. But the staff really does work hard. Sometimes we are under staffed because the manager honestly sometimes doesn’t know how to make the schedule. I have my favorites(staff) and the average Joe, but here’s a hint to you savey tech users, we have online ordering. Yay! So basically you pay and order online and just pick it up at the store. Omg. So convenient. Haha. Too bad I don’t work there anymore. But try to be more understanding. If you haven’t worked with food service, we do try our best because we were trained to do so. If you have a particular person you didn’t like the customer service from, then heck put them on blast so they know. Heck I would want to know if I did something wrong or if I was rude, I’ll take it as positive criticism. But if you enjoyed their customer service, it would be nice to mention something o they know they are doing their job. Lol I’ve felt with possible all the scenarios while working here so I had fun and great experience gained I even learned to cook, here so if I ever feel like eating in, I know the panda way hahaha. But enough of all that, I really love their broccoli beef and kung pao chicken yummy!

Sloooow. Even though this was the fastest I’ve ever gotten though their drive thr,(19 minutes) it’s still way to slow for fasts food. The staff tries, I can’t fault them for it. But the process is just broken. They always seem behind, they always are stretched too thin as a staff it seems. **note: just got home and my order was wrong. This place is terrible.**

I love Panda express. I mean, who can resist their Orange chicken?! I was pleasantly surprised that there was a drive thru Panda in my new neighborhood. I never had been to one with a drive thru, so i was quite excited to try it out. The car line was long and slow, but ordering was pretty easy. Once I got home, I realized why i wont be going through the drive thru again. It seems as though they box up the food as soon as you order into a styrofoam container which in my opinion causes the food to get mushy. My orange chicken was so longer crisp. It also seemed to be messier and smaller proportion than when you go in and watch them do it. Next time, I will be going inside to order.

Typical Panda. Orange chicken is good and somewhat still cripsy. Pot stickers were good. Recommend you don’t go after 830pm as they tend to give less food than usual. Probably because they don’t want to cook much more.
