I just called the number listed here and I got a recording that this number is no longer in service. I guess they are now closed.

I am so bummed! We tried to go to Kabuto last night and they are closed. I guess the economy just killed them. I hope they re-open at some point as this is head and shoulders above Banihana’s!!!

Never even made it to the table! We waited at the front of the restaurant to be seated while the hostess took a party to the back. After the hostess seated the other group, I watched her stop at a computer for a few seconds and instead of coming to the front to seat us she proceeded to stop at a table to chat with another couple. At first I thought she didn’t see us but the restaurant was empty and I know she saw us standing there when she seated the other group. I walked up to her and let her know that we were waiting and she told me to just wait a second and she continued to talk to the other couple. After I told her we were leaving and how terrible the service was… she continued to talk to the other customers — UNBELIEVABLE! A few minutes later I called the restaurant to talk to the manager but I just got the voicemail! One would think that in this economy and all the competition that is out there that customer service would be a priority. I’m sure the owner has no idea of the terrible service that this waitress/hostess is providing…

Oh, I miss this place so much. I want to come back and now they have beer and wine. My tummy so hungry for the food. I wish I could go now. This place not crowded and have funny people work there.

With sushi«bar» in the name, prepare to be mislead because this restaurant has no liquor license! Great sushi though! Try the volcano(fried) roll, and a group of 3 can split a habachi dinner! Watch out for the charges per person via the habachi grill. Seemed a little pricey, but not having to deal with the downtown sac scene for about the same price I would go again! But BYOB!

I hate the crowds of other locations. The food was great and the staff was entertaining. A Benihana teppanyak style meal in Sacramento without a million tourist. And for those hearty there was sushi on one end a steak on the other end. The price isn’t cheap, but well worth the price. It just stinks that they don’t have their liquor license yet, so no beer to wash it down with. But they were down for us bringing our own, without a corking fee too.

I am VERY happy with the dinner we had last night! The food was all delicious, the chefs and hostesses were engaging and gracious. Our 2 year old LOVED his dinner… we both remarked that we’ve never seen him eat so well! The pricing was very good value for the amount of food we got. The soup was DELICIOUS. A very wonderful meal. I am already plotting when we can return!

We just got home from Kabuto and the food and service was very good! I have seen this place from the road numerous times and decided to give it a try! The restaurant is clean and spacious, you are greeted by a very, soft spoken young lady when entering; I had to ask her to repeat herself numerous times which area we wanted to sit in. There is a sushi bar, Hibachi seating, and regular table seating. I am not sure why someone would want to sit at a regular table… the fun is at the Hibachi table! I ordered the filet and shrimp, my husband ordered the filet, and my son ordered the children’s chicken dinner. Each meal included soup, salad, rice, vegetables and vanilla ice cream. You can order fried rice for $ 1.50 more. The fried rice was okay, a little bland but I have never had Japanese fried rice before only Chinese fried rice. The filet was so tender you can cut it with a fork! Now, I would say this restaurant is kid-friendly, if you have a well-behaved child. If you think your child might touch the hot grill, I would probably advise to the regular table seating. The Hibachi chefs play it up to kids, with smiley faces with the oil and asking the kids where the egg went when he was cooking the fried rice. We had a lot of fun and we will returning shortly.
