Gathering In Style

What a cool place! I was doing some shopping in this plaza while waiting for my husband’s flight to arrive in a couple hours. Walked from Hobby Lobby to the Discovery Shop, and then was headed to Ross. Saw «Gathering in Style» and wasn’t sure what it was, so I decided that since I had the time, I’d stop by and see what it was about.
The cashier (Barbara) told me that this store was run by a homeless shelter called «Gathering Inn.» They would purchase NEW clothes from Macy’s for a discounted price and they’d sell the clothing to the public for much less than you’d pay in the department store. They used to be near Trader Joe’s but had since moved to this location just a few months ago.
The clothes were fabulous! Very high-​end materials, name brand designers, and super cute! I found a bunch of blouses that were originally around $ 50 – 60 at Macy’s (the tags are still on the clothes) but were about $ 20 – 29 here. Plus you’re supporting a homeless shelter, so how great is that?!
Their dressing rooms are really cute. They kinda remind me of a wedding boutique where you have the nice décor, little stage area, etc. Barbara was so helpful too. She’d see me carrying several items and she’d take them and hang them in «my» dressing room (that she had written my name on!).
This place is a hidden gem but once word gets out about it, I’m sure it will be teeming with women who want high quality clothes without the high price tags. Just be aware that they are closed Sundays and they close fairly early on other days (5:00pm and 5:30pm). Check this place out!

I was on a mission looking for cute clothes. I had heard through my church that there was a non profit clothing store in Roseville. They have Macy’s overstock and some very unique one of a kind accessories. They are owned by The Gathering Inn who provides physical, mental and spiritual restoration for the homeless in south placer county. They have a wide selection of clothes ranging from petite to 3x. All the profits from Gathering in style go directly to benefit the programs at the Gathering Inn. A great experience with amazing help. I left feeling like I did something good for me as well as helping someone else!!!
