What a score to find this place! We were already full from our Father’s Day breakfast but had to check out the donuts when we saw the gluten-free, dairy-free sign on the door while strolling back to our car. This is the kind of stuff I make at home for my gf/df fiancé so it’s a rare treat to be able to buy something fresh. I was really impressed with their variety of toppings — so many options. I love that they also have fresh fruit if you want a more sugar-y flavor experience. Customer service is A++. Try it!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. She made up a box of donuts for me with the toppings separate and ready to pour on the donuts when it’s time to eat them. So far, the two we have eaten were delicious.

The bf’s boss brought a box of these donuts in for the crew yesterday in honor of National Doughnut Day. After hearing rave reviews from the bf on how amazing the donuts were, I asked him to pick some up for me to try today. They looked amazing. Six, beautiful little rounds of glazed and nut-topped yumminess. And the first couple bites certainly were heavenly. The texture is more cake-like rather than the airy pillows I’m used to tasting in a donut, but that was fine. I’m okay with cake-nuts, as I call them! However, after a few bites, I noticed this almost bitter taste coating the roof of my mouth, similar to the artificial flavor I taste after I try one of the bf’s protein powder smoothies.(He usually has to add a lot of banana and yoghurt to mask that taste, but I can always pick it out). The taste didn’t go away, even after I tried to wash it out with some coffee. So, on the whole, a good first impression, but since I can taste the powdered proteins they add, these donuts are not my bag, baby.

I was on my way to my nephew’s baseball game and luckily happened to run into this place. They have delicious, gluten-free organic donuts coupled with very knowledgeable, friendly employees. You must try Dr. Bobs…5 stars absolutely! Sean S.

The food is really good but the service is excellent! The guy working there was super nice and so helpful and not annoyed at all that I showed up 15 minutes before they closed. I will definitely be back.

Wow! So excited to have found this place! The area is so cute and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Then there are the donuts… I’m not the kind of person who craves sweets, but I do love donuts. Unfortunately, I have recently discovered I have some food allergies that keep me from enjoying a traditional donut, but was elated to find out Dr. Bob’s has a donut that will fit my bill! Organic, dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan donuts and frozen yogurt? Yes please! The donuts themselves are fairly mild in flavor and they taste like the whole food ingredients they’re made from, so if you’re expecting Krispy Kreme or Dunkin’, this is NOT your place. It is, however, my kind of place… I love cake donuts and I like not-as-sweet baked goods. You can even add sweet toppings if you do prefer a more sugary experience. The concept is similar to a fro-yo joint where you add your toppings to taste and they weigh your dish when you pay, except everything is relatively good for you. I hope that this place continues to be successful so I can visit again the next time I’m in the neighborhood! Of course, I also wish there was a place with the same concept in Houston, but I guess this just gives me one more incentive to return to the area… :)

For all they claim to not have in their foods… And as a health geek I appreciate this place. I know I can get okay tasting food that has nothing bad for me in it

Went here with my daughter 8yrs old and son 1 years old to fix our donut craving. I figured bc of the high reviews we should check this place out. We bought 4 donuts, 2 cinnamon bun flavor and 2 chocolates. We topped ours with fudge and strawberries and used the 20% off Unilocal check in. My total came out to around $ 12 which i thought was pricey for 4 small donuts. I was surprised the donuts did not look fresh, they were in these small heated glass cabinets and looked kind of dry. We ate our donuts outside, but I was a little turned off bc we were right by several bars. Not really a family friendly daytime place. The donuts looked good with all the toppings but after our first bite my kids and I did not really enjoy them. The donuts were grainy in texture and not sweet at all. We can compare the taste to fiber 1 cereal but with less flavor. We did not finish our donuts and ended up getting our donut fix at krispy kreme.

Here are the top 4 things that stuck out to me… Location: located in downtown Roseville, its a beautiful brick and mortar shop that has all kinds of decoration. Lots of parking just around the corner, and an excellent location to spend time with family or friends. Cost: Very cost affordable. Cost just as much or maybe less then some other similar non-vegan places. Since I don’t think I can mention other names just think yogurt places with toppings. For 4 of us to each have a donut, dairy free yogurt, and all the toppings was $ 26. Taste: Delicious! I was surprised by all the wonderful sauces and toppings that they make themselves. All of them are healthy alternatives and delicious to eat. I love knowing what is in my food instead of eating something processed. I feel safe when eating here. Friendly: The host are super friendly. I brought my family and they let us have our kids taste test before we made any decisions. They were very hospitable to us and our kids, we will be coming back.

I went to this place because it’s vegan, and a *healthier alternative*. However, I wasn’t pleased. First of all, this is out of their control really, but the location is weird. Kind of sketchy on a Sunday afternoon. Again, not their fault, but there’s that for anyone considering stopping by. I was really excited to try this. I even drove 19 miles to try it from Midtown Sacramento. The donuts are not really donuts. Like other people have said, the vegan donuts at Whole Foods in the Arden area are better. The frozen yogurt is okay, but I’d suggest just getting that with minimal toppings. The chocolate mousse is the only thing I liked and I taste tested a lot of them(a plus, that they have little taste cups everywhere for you to sample.) My total for two cups of donuts with toppings was 18.00. .74 cents an ounce The lady at the register was kind, but they suggest that everyone puts MORE toppings and flavors on so that it tastes sweeter — or so that it cost more? I don’t think I’ll be going back here, and unless you’re in the area, I wouldn’t suggest going out of your way.

So happy a friend recommended we check this place out! I am on a new life change with food, eating healthy and was so excited to try the donuts here. It is located in old Roseville and is such a nice cozy shop, the gal that helped us was so helpful and friendly and we loved creating our own toppings for our donuts! We will def be back soon. This place specializes in gluten free and«pure» ingredients for the donuts and toppings. You pick your donut and can choose from a variety of fresh toppings, they also have coffee and a small selection of refrigerated drinks. Lots of seating inside for a small space too, it’s pretty roomy inside, check it out!!!

Vegan review! Well duh it’s a vegan review on a fabulous vegan spot! It’s tucked away in old Roseville off of Lincoln and main. Which is why they are only open weekends, not much weekday business. Which breaks my heart. You can pick a donut and be on your merry way… OR you can make an amazing DoYo! Basically think of any frozen yogurt place, where you get a cup, choose your flavor and decorate it with toppings… but here you start with a donut as your base! They have suggestions of how to make certain combinations taste like«cinnabob» and«apple pie a la mode». Their toppings are predominately vegan, but if there is honey it is specified. I really wish this place got more momentum and popularity so I could just hang out here on weekdays after work and chill. I’m SO amazed with how wonderful this little spot is! I adore it and it’s definitely going to be a treat coming here on weekends!

Tip: DONOTEXPECTTOOMUCHFLAVORIFYOUARENOTVEGAN Vegan lovers will understand the distinct taste this place provides! The inside can use some work with decorations as it was not very appealing. Though, the girl greeted us with a beautiful smile and enthusiasm! It was my first time there and she explained how it works very nicely. My boyfriend and I both got DOYOS which ended up being a little over $ 10. It is .64 cents an ounce but for the freshness, it is worth it. Everything was stocked and as we enjoyed our donuts, I watched the girl restock the topping bars. Really enjoyed the unique styles of our donuts and the service was incredible. Many of the topics were house sauces!!! My boyfriend who has little experience with vegan foods, tasted the bland in the donuts but he didn’t know any better. His final words were«I would come back». Great business!

This place is AMAZING! There are so many fun and healthy toppings. Some favorites of mine are the chocolate mousse, Bob’s Nutella, the cinnamon donut, and the fresh fruit :) The staff is FABULOUS every visit. They go the extra mile to make sure you feel welcomed. They also have a frequent buyer card. So glad to have this gem in Roseville! Hoping they stay open on weekdays in the future, though.

Woohoo! This place is as good as it gets. Remember everyone as you read this review… This is a vegan donut shop. So… consider as you read this that I have not had a(what some people might call) a real donut in about 3 years. I really restrict my sugar intake to very negligible amounts. Therefore, any place that considers a diet such as mine and I can get a donut with trace amounts of sugar, fresh fruit, and nuts gets the official WooHoo!!! Everyone there was very friendly and willing to talk about the ingredients in the donuts and toppings. As a note… it seems that Dr. Bob created his low sugar and substitute mixes and products to help people off of the sugar train. So if you want to slow your roll and get off the«white death» express, this is a place to check out. Here is how it works. There is a cabinet with Dr. Bobs donuts in it, so you start here and pick one(I chose a chocolate donut which is much like what they would call a fry cake except these never have hit the fryer). Your next move is to go to the syrup station(yes … only trace amounts of sugar here), then fresh fruit, toppings, and a topping section to give you a little texture and crunch if you like. Take it to the counter and get it weighed … enjoy. This is definitely worth the experience. On your way out … grab a «day old» on the cheap. Thank you Dr. Bob for knowing that everyone cannot drop all of their food in a fryer and roll it in sugar. You have brought the occasional donut treat back into my life.

Healthy never tasted so good!!! These donuts don’t sound like donuts at all. They are healthy and made from pea or hemp protein powder then steamed to perfection. At first I was a little hesitant, thinking they probably wouldn’t taste good. I was so wrong! They are airy and light and I covered mine in toppings. Best part is they are affordable! For my large ecoground coffee and my totally topped off donut I only paid $ 6! As of right now they are only open on weekends but with a little advertising I’m sure that will change.

Awesome little shop! It’s a build your own donut and froyo place. It’s all vegan, sugar free and dairy free. I loved this concept and it was so unique. you select a donut and choose your topping and there are tons to choose from. Reasonably priced, definitely will be back!!! Only downside was the annoying kid who was staring at us while we ate and coughing everywhere.

My son described the place perfectly when he walked in «It smells Vegan». I couldn’t stop laughing. I asked myself, what does Vegan smell like? I think the best way to describe is HEALTHY! I’m a fan of all things healthy, but this is taking it to the extreme. Since this is a travel for us, I decided to get the donuts. The pictures on Unilocal made it look so good, I think I know why, it’s because everyone piles a boat load of stuff on it, just to mask the flavor. This«donut» is more like small cakes. Dense and way too healthy tasting. I added chocolate syrup, blueberries and strawberries to one and just bourbon vanilla glaze on the other. There wasn’t enough topping to enjoy that bad boy! I only took two bites and realized it wasn’t for me. I should have listened to myself, when I tried the samples, they were handing out. I didn’t like it then, what made me think adding toppings will make it better. We also ordered froyo. My honey like it, but I personally thought it was too icy. Not as creamy as I wanted it to be. If you’re expecting to add m0chie, b0bam, candy pieces, and cookie crumbles, be prepared for disappointment. They don’t have none of that here. They have straight up healthy toppings. Granola bites, cereal, nuts, dried fruits, fresh fruit, non-dairy pudding/whip topping and syrup. With that said, this is not for everyone. If you want a healthy alternative to donuts and froyo, then head over here. If you want to indulge in something not so healthy head to the Roseville Mall and your fix there.
