Almost everything is under $ 10. Double burger with fries was $ 8. Onions ring are pretty good. Fries are thick cut, but a little over cooked(I prefer soft fries to crispy). Burger was too salty, not disgusting, but not great. This was our first visit, so hopefully it was a 1 off issue with home made burgers. Chicken fingers were crispy & not too salty. Sundaes & shakes were well above average.

The food was great but customer service was HORRIBLE. They forgot about us and were rude to our table because we had a person who is gluten free and wanted the burger in lettuce. The waitress was so condescending and told our table to just order a salad.

We had an extended family outing here yesterday while visiting the train museum. We grabbed a light bite while we waited for the museum to open. The place is quaint with old posters and antiquities throughout for the eye to see and the nostalgia to kick in. The service was wonderful and the food was quality and made with care. The best part were the shakes. They tasted like they were made with real blue bell ice cream and chocolate… not cheap, full of air and with fake syrup. You get plenty with one order as they bring you what’s in the tin shaker as well. It was a nice treat and if you are in that area make sure to stop by.

Found this place on Unilocal as we were passing through on the way to Galveston. Had great reviews, and always interested to try out a great place in a small town. Live music, so the atmosphere was a little loud. Not really full at 6:30 on a Friday night, but larger parties were coming in after we left. Menu is simple, sodas are awesome! I had one of their specials, adult grilled cheese. Lots of cheese, bacon and tomato. Rye, wheat, or white. Tasted great with a side of sweet potato fries. Crispy fries crinkle cut. Also ordered the Texas cheesesteak, club sandwich, chicken fingers, and half pound burger. Everybody was pleased! Would recommend

Wonderful, nostalgic place. Love coming here. I like sitting at the soda fountain bar. They make homemade shakes and malts with Blue Bell. The fountain drinks are made old timey way with syrup then the carbonated water. Very fresh.

Cute spot with throwback décor… but I found the actually soda fountain drinks lacking. For anyone who grew up in Houston, La King’s in Galveston is the iconic old fashioned soda shop. Sadly, Another Time doesn’t have the great flavored, malty goodness. My malt had a really strange taste; my friend’s sundae was average. It’s not bad, it’s just not necessarily better than going to a «new age» ice cream shop. On the plus side, wait staff was friendly. On the down side, it was not the cleanest inside(guess that’s a con of a sweets shop ha)

The décor is really nostalgic. It feels like you are stepping back into the early 1900s. Their hand mixed sodas and their shakes and floats are great! This place is in the middle of historic Rosenberg, so you can hop across the street to the Railroad Museum or take a walk around downtown and see all the local shops. The place has plenty of seating for larger groups. My family and I usually bring out of town guests here and they always enjoy it. My kids usually order and ice cream shake or a root beer float. Delicious. Sometimes when the bakery next door is getting ready to close, they’ll give out some leftover treats. We’ve eaten their food once and everyone enjoyed it, but the best thing to come here for is the desserts.

This place is a dime in old town Rosenberg. We came here while exploring Rosenberg and let’s just say that I was craving their food the minute I stepped out of the restaurant. The burger and fries were delicious and simple. No over-seasoning + quality ingredients = happy me. The service was great! Our server was attentive and friendly. I asked for a vanilla milkshake and she immediately went to have it made. When she brought it out she made sure to bring the extra and I almost drank the entire milkshake. I’m sure I would have succeeded had I not stuffed myself with their yummy burger and fries. We will definitely be back here!

This is one of my favorite places in old town Rosenberg. It’s at a fun location right by the train station and has a real nostalgic, old soda shoppe feel to the place. Whenever I’m there with my wife, we like sitting at the bar and getting a shake, malt, or a chocolate soda. The staff is always very friendly and they do a lot to make the experience fun and relaxing. We don’t eat the food here a lot, but we’ve been happy with all the meals we’ve had. I definitely enjoyed the reuben sandwich. We’ll be visiting here often and it’s already one of our favorite places to take family visiting from out of town.

What a great place to take the kids! Lots of ice cream concoctions to try. The banana split was the favorite for my 5-yr-old. Waitstaff is friendly, attentive and fast. Really, nothing beats a local restaurant in a small town. I mean, they mix their soda fountain drinks by hand. Just go there. It’ll be fun!

This place is sooo adorable. A Rosenberg gem. It is like stepping back into another time. The food consists of a variety of classic diner foods. The portions are just right, not too much and not to little. I had the adult grilled cheese. It consisted of Swiss and cheddar cheese with bacon and tomatoes. I swapped out the fries for a fruit cup. The ice cream, milkshake, and sundae desserts where classically delicious as well.

We have been looking for an ol time restaurant(THATSGOOD) for a few years now. Before moving to Texas we frequented Fenton’s(featured in pixars Up) when we lived in the Bay Area. This place is WAY better! The shakes, sodas & floats are top shelf quality. The décor is perfect and the service is great. The best part is the food is actually good. In my experience fountain café types only get one part of the menu right. Here they have amazing deserts with good food. I will be here again(probably many many times).

We were recommended to try this place by a friend. Since its a bit of a hike from where we live in houston, we decided to make a day out of it. The place is cute and definitely lives up to the theme. The menu was nothing special. The soda was good, but sorta flat. The sundae was outstanding. They definitely do their desserts right. The service was good, however I felt we were being a little hovered over which made me kind of uncomfortable. Overall it was a pretty average experience. Would I drive 30 min to check them out again? Probably not, unless there is some sort of reason I would end up in Rosenberg again…

We were supposed to go to Old Railroad Café to try but while trying to find parking, my husband thought this place might look more promising. We had the steak fingers, burger, strawberry shake, and root beer. I didn’t know they made their own soda. Root beer was sweet but I felt it needed more carbonation. The strawberry shake was delicious. I was happy that they brought the leftover shake that couldn’t fit in the cup. The steak fingers were terrible. It was super greasy, too chewy, and tasted more like liver to me than beef. The burger wasn’t anything special either. It wasn’t horrible but nothing unique about it. The onion rings were great though! I’ve always loved old school diners. I wished our meal was better, but at least we had some good onion rings and shake!

First time there, and not the last! The food was good. Old fashioned soda shop kind of food– party melts, grilled cheese, burgers, chicken tenders. Sodas are made at a soda bar with syrup and carbonation. Kids loved watching them made. And don’t forget to try a shake, sundae, or malt. Divine! And, staff is friendly and very helpful. Our waitress took great care of us. Décor is old fashioned pictures and items on walls. Great ambiance!

This is one of my favorite place in Rosenberg!!! I am a creature of habit, so every time is go, I order a chicken salad sandwich with onion rings. The chicken salad sandwich is amazing, but probably a million calories! They make it with chicken tenders and then put it between soft wheat bread. I’m drooling now!!! Their onion rings are great, but I really would like to try their French fries one time. Their lime sherbet &7up is amazing, it really reminds one of a baby or bridal shower. I’ve also tried their cherry coke, which is yummy, but I’m not a huge coke fan. Altogether, this is a great place if you’re downtown and looking for a bite!

I came here yesterday for lunch with a coworker and just had the greatest time. Service was quick and friendly. In fact, after we’d been sitting for a few minutes looking at the menu the owner came up and offered to take our order. The menu was fairly extensive, with a variety of sandwiches and full plates. There is even a daily blue plate special, that day it was the meatloaf. I ordered a club sandwich with chips and my coworker ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with a side of fruit. The food came out quickly and was quite delicious. We were both very pleased. Although it looked tempting, I didn’t order one of the fountain sodas that are made fresh there from real syrup. There was a variety of them, though, including some phosphate drinks like cherry. We did, however, split an old fashioned chocolate milkshake for dessert. Like our food, it came out promptly and was AMAZING!!! Our server split it for us and even ½ of it was almost a full drink. Now, I must admit that I’m not a fan of ice cream or things that consist of it, but this shake was one of the best things that I had tasted in a long time. I HIGHLY recommend this place and will definitely make it a point to stop through on subsequent visits to the area. The staff and owner were very nice and you definitely feel as if you’re stepping into the past when you walk in this place.

This was a pretty good meal. My mom and I stopped in for lunch while shopping in the area. It was lunchtime on a weekday and it was very crowded. Despite how busy it was we were seated immediately. Our server was an incredibly well-mannered young man. He defined«southern boy» completely, lol. Our order took a long time to make it to the table, but with them being so busy that was understandable. We split a burger and fries and left full and content. This place is definitely unique. They have a soda fountain counter and offer old-fadhioned drinks that I would live to go back and try. If you want a good burger but don’t want the typical fast food options I would definitely suggest this place. Kids would love it, too.
