Overall, I like coming to this location. I did find a hair in my pizza the last visit, but the manager was very apologetic and tried their best to compensate. Just an unlucky unfortunate event I suppose. It can get busy, and for me personally, seating is an issue because some of their booths(particularly the mini ones against the wall) are very uncomfortable with poor lighting. The mini booths are connected, so the person sitting behind you on the table next to you can move around and you will feel this; it can get pretty annoying. I have also done carry out from this location. Ended up waiting way more than the original estimated time. I’ve had multiple bad experiences with the calamari not just at this location, so I don’t order it anymore. I do keep coming back to this location because the pizza is delicious and because of friendly servers like Joanne(sp?). Very sweet and attentive. Thank you.

I know this is bad Chicago trauma, but I can only eat one slice of Giordano’s. It so much! So good but so much. That is why i prefer NY style pizza, I can eat two of them!

It was first time of the deep dish pizza and I must say I am not a great fan of pizza. The service of the place was good, the wait for a deep dish was long but we were informed about it in advance. It’s a place for pizza lovers for sure.

My favorite stuffed pizza in Chicago from a chain restaurant. As a born and raised Chicagoan I was raised to love the food here. If you like deep dish pizza go and try their stuffed variation which puts the ingredients and cheese under the sauce. This results Ina great flavor that’s really worth checking out.

We checked out Giordano’s on the most foul weather day even for Chicago standards. Our flight through O’Hare was cancelled and we were staying at a local airport hotel. Giordano’s was highly recommended by our concierge. The restaurant was packed when we arrived around 7pm. It’s interesting that we were to order our pizza’s first, and then wait for a table. It takes approximately 45 minutes for a deep dish pie. Our waiters were not the most personable or attentive, and it seemed to take even longer than promised to deliver our food. We had to ask several times for water and silverware. The Giordano’s pizza was quite good. We had a traditional deep dish pepperoni and mushroom pizza. There’s more cheese in that pie than I have ever experienced in one meal. Tasty sauce and crisp crust.

They have a gluten free option. Just like their other pizzas, comes with free heartburn. Gluten free option + convenience = I will order again. Not the worst, not the best. Good enough for three stars.

I’ve been here twice for the lunch special, around 11:30−12pm and there is no wait to get a seat and if you already know what lunch special you want, it’s painless to order. I always get the cheese pizza with a side house salad. You get a drink too for $ 10. They have lots of options. Our waitress was great, our food came in about 10 minutes. We left at 12:20 and it was definitly more crowded then. I love the way that this pizza tastes and their house salad is very delicious. I would recommend this restaurant for a fast lunch spot when ordering from the lunch specials menu.

When in Chicago… you eat Chicago deep dish pizza! This location was down the street from the hotel we were staying at and had plenty of parking to accommodate guests. Our wait wasn’t horrible and we were encouraged to order our pizza while waiting to expedite the cooking time. Upon sitting it took the waitress awhile to come get our drink orders and she looked lost when we ordered an appetizer. The pizzas arrived smelling great and were all eaten and it took the waitress even more time to bring us refills. She was quick to deliver our check when it was time to leave however. Be prepared to wait a bit but the food is worth it!

So, there are a ton of reviews online claiming this is the original and best Chicago Deep Dish pizza… having had lunch here I can only say there must be something in the water in Chicago if people think this is good! The«Chicago Style» deep dish takes about 35 min to make. Not that bad if the taste is worth it. The house salad is a nice size and although a little on the wilted and soggy side, had good flavors. The pizza’s crust is dry and flavorless. i actually asked our waitress if we were mistakenly give. A gluten free version since it basically tasted like cardboard. Theres a ton of cheese, but again, no flavor, a bag of kraft shredded mozzarella from the supermarket would have more flavor. The sauce is a thick red sauce thats bland and unseasoned. With the smell of fresh garlic reaching a block away as you drive up, your expecting the sauce to just explode in your mouth; instead its like eating unseasoned tomato paste from a can. The Chicago style gives you onions, pepperoni(shreds, not actual slices like traditional pizza), green peppers and mushrooms(canned). I ate a second piece from the opposite side of the pie to make sure it wasnt just a poorly made pie but it was just as disappointing. ive had better pizza from the frozen food section at the supermarket! Come here once as a tourist to say you’ve tried it, but just plan on eating somewhere else after as you’ll have one slice and then leave hungry!

Their pizza may be good but their service is beyond terrible. Food is NEVER ready when it is supposed to be. Bring your patience because if you expect to get a pizza in anywhere near 1 hours time it’s never going to happen — and that includes when you order online.

I’ve heard this was the BEST, but wasn’t happy. Very mediocre with the taste of the pizza. No favor in the sauce or crust. Very disappointed for authentic Chicago style deep dish pizza.

Loved this place. Reasonably priced, delicious food — no complaints! Love the pizza: it’s more than deep dish, there is another layer on top so it is like a true pizza«pie.» Our waiter forgot our order for cannolis and left us hanging, but the manager was on top of things and she got us squared away. Really enjoyed dining here.

First time eating Chicago deep dish pizza, only reason why I gave it a 4 star was because it wans’t earth shattering i’m going to move here this is all I’m going to eat for the rest of my life type of pizza. However the cheese was awesome, the deep dish bread was nice and crispy and even though we got there about an hour before they closed the staff and waiter were really friendly and our waitress provided excellent service. Oh and we would’ve loved to have eaten outside, they have a patio fireplace but the manager said it was closed for the night.

If this is the only place you stop in Chicago for deep dish you will think this is a five star. I was fortunate to have tried other places to compare. This was the first place I went and was amazed at the pizza and crust oat this place! Nice friendly environment, the pizza crust was perfect and crunchy and the sauce and flavor a were amazing as well. Kid approved all the way. Again go in the off hours if you don’t want to wait forever. So I can’t justify a five star as there are a few that are even better than this. If this is the only place you can hit you won’t be disappointed.

This Giordano’s was right next to my hotel and close to O’Hare. Parking is easy(huge lot right outside of it), and the eating areas inside and outside are extensive. My group was seated immediately on a Wednesday evening — so far, so good. We got the special stuffed pizza which comes with sausage, mushrooms, green peppers & onions. Our waitress said it would be 45 minutes for the pizza to come out, and yep, it came out in just about 45 minutes. The pizza was good, but not great. The sauce is all on the top layer, almost making the pizza look like a pie with a cheese/tomato sauce crust. Perhaps I’m just not a fan of that? I think they do it so the bottom pizza crust doesn’t get soggy. The pizza crust itself was pretty good — I’m glad it wasn’t too greasy, although the bottom still did get a little soggy. The toppings were pretty good, smothered in cheese in the middle of the pizza. However, given the deep-dish-ness of the pizza, I was really surprised, when about 20 minutes into our meal, we realized that the pizza had gotten cold. It wasn’t particularly piping hot when it came out, but within 20 minutes it was like pizza that seemed like it had sat out much longer than 20 minutes. At that point, the pizza was room temperature, the cheese was no longer gooey and the crust seemed a little stale as well. So I’m a little confused at how that happened to a deep dish pizza. My boyfriend wasn’t familiar with all the draft beers they had, and our waitress offered to have him try some until he found one he liked. I thought that was a nice gesture. I was expecting a lot of Giordano’s, and it didn’t quite live up to those expectations. Nevertheless, it was a good experience and I’m glad I got to try their pizza.

I am a huge thin crust pizza lover and when I came here, I didn’t think I was going to like deep dish pizza because of the thick crust but boy was I wrong! If you are by yourself or you don’t want to share, make sure you order a «baby» size pizza. It’s not on the menu but you can definitely order a personal pizza. Sauce was on point, just enough cheese, crust was crispy and the ingredients on the pie rounded it off perfectly. If you’re in Chicago, you gotta try the Chicago Classic. I’ve also had the deep dish with lots of vegetables and it made the crust very soggy. I recommend to just keep basic. TIP: It was hard to get this place by foot. It’s located on a highway. If Google Maps tells you that you can walk to this place, don’t trust it. Was half way there before I realized I can’t walk on a highway lol

So on my whirlwind pizza tour my wife and I did while in Chicago this place ranked well. It’s a solid chain pizza that is a consistent choice of you want deep dish. Prices aren’t to bad for what you get and the service was ok not great not bad but ok. Bottom line good food and easy to find one since they are a chain. I recommend the meat pie deep dish.

This is might second time here on visits to Chi-town. The first time I got the deep dish, which I am just not a fan of. I’m sure if you’re into that kind of thing it’s great, but I am just a NY style pizza girl through and through. The deep dish is like an entire block of cheese per slice, and super thick cornbread like crust, I just can’t stomach it. So this time I went against all the advice and got the thin crust, loaded with veggies. It was absolutely delicious so glad I tried it. Comes with a ton of veggies and their famous delicious sauce. I also got a salad to start, the harvest salad, and it was great. The cocktails were also strong and delicious, the Italian surfer tasted like a creamsicle, so good.
