I don’t skate, and frankly, this isn’t technically a place of business. But if I had to guess about a place I’d be able to find a vendor of marijuana, I’d put this at the top of my list for Roselle. You know, not that I partake, but there’s a certain skater image based on truth. Of course, the local cops are aware of this image, they patrol frequently, and the station is only one village block away. Oh yeah, here’s a PSA. «Hey kids! You like bikes, skate boards, roller blades, and anything else that puts wheels under your feet right? Well, what better way to guarantee physical injury with that kind of equipment than a skate park?! Come on down, and remember not to wear your pads, because pads make you look like a scaredy-cat pussy!»

I’ve skated probably 40 – 50 parks in and around Chicago over the last 10 years, THISISTHEREALDEAL. My favorite of them all by far. The BESTPARKINCHICAGOLAND.(Update — Aurora IL in Phillips Park beats out Roselle by a nose now) Usually every skatepark is made by some crappy constuction company that is messes up the sizing and spacing and feel of the park. Not only is the feel natural for nearly every ramp, but there are a bunch of unique designs. Plus the park is completely smooth concrete. my favorite parts of the park: 1.) slightly inclined boxes stacked on eachother. There something beautiful about grinding a box, and launching off a bank ramp at the same time… the proportions and feel of it is perfect. 2.) The bar boxes pyramid ramps. Good for flip tricks, good for grinding. good dimensions and feel. Plus! the opposite side has a steep bank inclined that offers a different approach to the bar box. Very fun. 3.) 1 foot box + 1.5 foot box with offset placement next to one another. very fun to doing grind, shifty, grind.
