I just can’t speak more negatively about this shithole. I’m proud to say I found a place called Clark barbeque the best Portuguese food ever. I’m so happy. I have been craving it for almost a year since a stopped going to Stephanie shithole. please try the Clark barbeque u won’t be sorry. fuck you Stephanie you dump

I used to like this place. But idk I guess they changed cooks or something. The chicken is small. The rice and potatoes have no flavor. Absolutely no flavor. It is disgusting. Bad. And for the price you pay. Not worth it. Save your money. Go somewhere else. I definitely won’t be back. The lady was nice though. It isnt her fault the food was atrocious. If you want better chicken go to Elizabeth. Just down the road. Look for Algarve.

I would give a 0 star if i could. One of the worst restaurants I ever experienced. I ordered delivery recently and the lady on the phone did not speak good english. Took like 15 mins to take my order. She then told me I can pay with my credit card when the delivery guy comes. She also said delivery will take about 45 mins. I was patient enough to still wait for the food after an hour. However, an hour and 30 mins passed and they called back asking for my credit card number. By then, i was already heading to work starving so I told the guy I am not home and do not have my card with me. He rudely told me he will not deliver it unless i give him the credit card. So i simply told him to forget it. Forget the whole order.
If it took an hour and 30 mins to call and ask for my credit card and STILL haven’t left the store, it would’ve took literally more than 2 HOURS for my food to arrive.
And what’s worst is that after i told them to cancel my order, they spam call my phone. How unprofessional can this place to be? DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!!

Terrible! i placed my order 90 minutes ago. The cashier told me that the driver would have a machine for my card to swipe when the driver arrived. I asked her if she was SURE! she said yes. 90 minutes later no food. they call back saying they want the card number and the food still havent left the store.
Way to deal with a first and last time customer. Never in my life again will i order from here, nor recommend anyone to do business here. That is all

If I was reviewing just the food, I would have given Stephanie’s 5 stars. I ordered the chicken and ribs with rice to go. This was my first (and so far only) visit and I was greeted with a blank/​slighly angry stare by the woman who was running the place. Once I was ready to order, and it was clear that I was indeed ready, I had to wait for her to finish her conversation in Portuguese with a man who was in the restaurant ahead of me. Just because of her attitude I have no desire to go back there and hand her my money, when I’m sure there are other restaurants where I can bring my business… and get at least a hello and a smile!

Although I do like their empanadas, everything else could be MUCH better.
First time today I ordered the ½ order of chicken. It is half a chicken. Someone wrote they give you a lot of food. NO THEY DON’T. They pile on rice and french fries. This is not food, this is just starch fillers. The chicken was dry and lacked flavor, the rice had no flavor and the fries could have been cooked longer. Not that they were raw (they are real fries cut from whole potatoes), they we limp.
I was disappointed so I will stick to their empanadas.

The food is alright but the customer service is horrible. Went today and ordered, someone came in after us and ordered the same thing. We waited over 20mins, meanwhile the guy that came after us got his food first. I let the woman at the counter know and she was very dismissive. And once again I remind myself why I never come to this place.

Pretty good food but honestly wait time is ridiculous. I was promised 15 minutes and it was more like 45 minutes. One time I ordered delivery and they were 1 ½ hours late. Cmon. It’s ridiculous.

Service was not very good, three of us got rib sandwhiches… they literally put some rips inbetween a roll with some low quality cheese… oh and the ribs still had BONE in them, we all gave up and just took the ribs out, the fries were oily and they charged us more than what their menu said but honestly we just really wanted to get out of there! DONT GO!

Two stars is being gracious. The food here is average but the service is horrendous. The person answering the phone is always rude and delivery always takes more than and out less than a mile away. I’ve decided to end my less than mediocore relationship wi th this establishment and spend my money elsewhere…

I can safely say this Stephanie’s provides one the the most horrible customer service I have ever encounter. My family has been ordering from there for over 6 years. They always answer the phone rudely and unprofessional, put the phone down instead of placing me on hold while having full blown conversations and if you should ask to speak to someone else you are told that no one speaks English. The last time I order delivery, I waited over an hour for the food and when I called to see what the hold up was, again the person answering the food was rude. Their food is mediocre and not worth the trouble. I will never spend a dime there again

Had a bad experience with one of the ladies that answers the phone, decided to give another try and a diff woman answered who was very nice!

We just took the seat out side because to sit inside is hot, they have the grill there. After order just wait and wait… never come back again.

Not the best, but they do an okay job. If you’re okay with okay, then this place is for you. They charge the same as the good places, they’re just not quite there.
On a couple of occasions I’ve made an order and showed up to pick it up half an hour later and it still wasn’t boxed. I’m not sure how to take that.
That being said, the food is fair… But I’m just not usually satisfied with fair, so I prefer to spend my money elsewhere.

I live right by Stephanie’s BBQ & with driving by it every day I’ve always wanted to try to. After a friends positive recommendation about the food, I finally decided to give a shot last night. Even though this place did not receive the best reviews, I still wanted to have an experience of my own, & man did I, just not an outstanding one. Our orders we’re for pick up; I had ordered the half of the grilled chicken breast with rice & fries & my boyfriend decide to get the bbq combo with rice & fries, however what we ordered was not what we received. Once getting home we realized that instead of getting the chicken breasts, we were given a rib order by mistake. I was happy to eat this, however I didn’t want someone else getting what they didn’t order. I called the restaurant to let them know, not even to complain, just to give them a heads up so they could avoid another mistake by giving my order to a different customer. A woman picked up, I told her I had received the wrong order, she immediately asked for me to «hold on» before I could explain the rest of the situation, & she left me hanging on the phone while I could hear her talk to others in the restaurant for about 2 minutes & then she hung up. I wasn’t even upset at the fact that I didn’t get what I ordered; I would have even given this place a second try despite that, but because of the way that employee handled the situation over the phone & because of their poor customer service I don’t think I would return. Now onto the quality to the food.
Whatever type of ribs I got were delicious. The rice however was bland & flavorless & majorly lacked the pees & carrots that should have been sprinkled throughout it. The fries had a nice but not overwhelming about of salt to them, however they were just a little too soft & soggy for me. It kind of worked out that I received the ribs by mistake & my boyfriend got the bbq combo because that came with ribs & chicken (a piece of beast & a pice of a leg), so instead of getting double chicken we just gout double the amount of ribs, which was perfect because I had a bite of the chicken breasts from his plate & it was very dry. For what you pay though you definitely get a hefty amount of food, there’s pretty much 2 meals in one in a half order, however the quality & condition of the food seems to be compromised.

After receiving several take out menu’s in my mail box I reluctantly decided to try this place out because didn’t feel like cooking. I called and placed an order for chicken/​shrimp in garlic sauce with fries and rice. The delivered my food in about 40 minutes which wasn’t bad at all. However the food not so good. There were hardly any shrimp and the chicken was dry with no taste. They give you a lot of rice which can feed two for cheap price. I would not try again

Yoooo if u wanna eat good Portuguese food do not dare and eat at stephaniesss !! U better of eating mcdonalds … There’s a way better Portuguese BBQ called GINAS right down the street and they’re cheaper as well.
Stephanie’s sold me a beef rib that the meat wasn’t even good. The meat went bad and they still cooked it and delivered it. Then they over chargeddd me ! I regret calling them … I’ll never forget this experience with them ! Plus when u go eat in the owner looks like a creep like all she cares about is getting your money !
Remember and take my advise please just go to Gina’s BBQ or anywhere else !!!

TERRIBLE! POTATO SALAD FROZEN STORED FOR GOD KNOWS HOW LONG! The food was stale not fresh, rice had a weird distinct taste. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. I only went here because elmora bbq was closed,

The bakery next door is just as horrible! Stay away from the new Stephanie’s Bakery! Disgusting! I ordered a milkshake there the other day and it was not a shake, but just milk mixed with sugar. I gave them a 2^nd chance today and bought a caramel piece of cake. Horrible! The caramel was hard and rubber-​like and the cake tasted like it was sitting out for months! I didn’t even finish it fearing that I would get sick.

This place has tasty food for a good price; a $ 12 platter of theirs with chicken, rice and fries could feed 3 hungry people (they also give a loaf of bread) I was never disappointed with the food here!
