Delicious Fresh Pierogi

I’ve eaten here a few times. My husband works nearby and him and his co-​workers get take-​out from here all the time. We are all vegetarian (me, my husband, my friends, and his co-​workers) so it works out perfectly because Delicious Fresh Pierogi is all vegetarian. In fact, they don’t even use eggs — same as us. We are very happy with their product. It is $ 5 for a dozen cooked pierogis — make sure when you place your order you tell them how you want it cooked: steamed, pan-​fried, or deep-​fried. They give you mustard and sour cream with each order.
The storefront is basic and small. There is nowhere to sit so you must get your cooked food to go. They also sell packaged cold pierogis that you can cook at home (same as their packages that are sold in the grocery stores).
Note: My husband and I are 99% vegan. We keep a vegan house. If you want vegan options at Fresh Delicious Pierogi, just order any of the flavors that do not have cheese, and make sure to say «no sour cream» on the side.

I’ve only ever gotten these at the store in Roselle Park. We’ve bought them dozens of times. The storefront is not much, but the pierogies have always been terrific. We especially love their jalapeño cheddar ones. They also have a few vegan varieties, including sauerkraut, potato and spinach, and potato and mushroom. The price at the store has been the same for years, it’s a great value. The price of the cooked ones has gone up in the past year or two though, but still a good deal and so convenient as «take out».

If you are ever in the mood for pierogi, stop by this small store in Roselle Park. It is just west of the train trestle on Chestnut Street (a block from where I grew up, back then it was a corner store). In any case they manufacture dozens of varieties of pierogi on premises. Very good quality at a moderate price.
If you can’t get to Roselle Park, look for them at your local supermarket. My wife has purchased them at ShopRite. But for the largest selection go directly to Delicious Pierogi.
