This is one serious Italian place! Loved the food! Prices were reasonable, and the staff was great! We’d got in late and they let us stay overtime after closing and did not rush us. One waiter had made his own Italian sodas and offered to give us a taste of one. It was very good! And I’m not even a huge soda fan! The food: some of the best Italian food I’d ever had. We knew it was pretty legitimate when they let us know some of the stuff had been sold out. We ordered spaghetti with eggplant and some pasta with sausage, lettuce, cheese, and potato sacks. Very tasty! Great spot, highly recommend it if you’re passing through Roseburg!

A delightful calm atmosphere, tasty warm bread, and flavorful food. I had the gorgonzola gnocchi and would return to have it again.

Really want to love and support this place because it’s a small family owned business but the bottom line is that we’ve tried this restaurant on multiple occasions(different days, times ect) it’s barely mediocre food overall and the service is poor and painfully slow. Being that it’s the only Italian joint in town you’d think they’d make a killing but it’s just so disappointing every time.

This is a MUST eat restaurant! Everything from the décor to the wine to the food is top notch. I thought I would like the place when I was so warmly greeted by the hostess. Then I ordered my food and fell in love. The bread was warm and my glass of wine was generous. The prices are reasonable, service excellent and the egg plant parm is some of the best I have ever had.

Sounds like the poor review from Andrew F comes with some psychological baggage as he also was kind enough to also post a picture of his dirty nails and middle finger. I’m guessing Andrew is the issue here, not Dino’s. On to the review. Dino’s is kind of a hole in the wall, a great little comfortable and romantic restaurant with exceptional food and service. I was very happy with my spaghetti bolognese. It was excellent. I have tried the veal and lasagne as well and everything they serve is fresh and superb. Expect to pay about $ 16 to $ 18 per person on average. This is high quality food and worth it. We are not talking mass produced quick and easy food here. You could easily go to Applebee’s and spend the same amount… except you would get a burger and fries. Excellent food, service, and the price is very good for the delicious food.

Two words. Eat here! Walked it at near closing. Very accommodating and patient. Food was incredible. Great ambiance in what was once a grocery store. Brick arches were for shoppers to line up for check out. Thanks to Steven and Debbie for sharing. Best carbonara ever! And I’ve had it in Italy. Tuscan bean soup was yummy. Wonderful rustic fresh bread. We’ll be back. –California girls.

Small and quiet, plan on a leisurely dinner, no hurry here. The bread was authentic Italian bread served warm right out of the oven! Freshest salads we have had in a very long time, husband had the Caesar, I had the insalata with feta, olives, tomato, cucumber, served with a mild vinaigrette that didn’t make you pucker. Husband had chicken and ricotta ravioli with Alfredo, it was excellent! I had the bolognese, it was wonderful! Service was prompt and friendly. Don’t miss this one if you are in town!

This place is amazing. Very good caprese, homemade bread, and an interesting, refreshing melon soup. The house made ravioli’s were some of the best I’ve had. It’s a family owned place, and is extremely friendly.

Superstar restaurant for the town of Roseburg! My husband had the lasagne — cheesy with a homemade tomato sauce full of flavor(not just a basic bland red tomato sauce). I had a chicken special that was equally flavorful and cooked perfectly. The wine list is phenomenal and apparently is unappreciated by most guests. The staff is very friendly. We will definitely be returning!

This place is a hidden gem. Great spaghetti on Monday evenings. It’s Roseburg, Oregon and options are fairly limited. Music can be a little loud so book ahead and ask for sitting in the back. Too many complaints on here about service, I like that it adds a bit to the ambience. When I go out for a nice meal I like to enjoy my company and take my time. Great service. Great food. Great wine. Others are just in too much of a hurry & want everything now! now! now! Update: Went here on a hot summer night visiting family in early July, and we tried some new items and of course excellent! Chilled Pea Soup and the Ravioli(type they have rotate) so darn good! People complain about price, you truly get what you pay for, if you want fast, crappy and prob cold Italian, go up I-5 to Eugene to the Olive Garden(Valley River Exit). Service may be on the slow side, but they MAKE everything here. Quality folks, quality.

Ordered the spinach lemon salad as recommended in another review. It was served very hot, not warm as stated in the menu. It was ok, too lemony. Had the veal scallopine. It was ok, Very sweet. Strawberry pannacotta for dessert was wonderful. Service was stellar.

I was alone and probably got there too late for good attention. I ordered and wasn’t checked on until served. The menu was a bit pricey and I was surprised at the small serving of one of the evening specials.

Nice atmosphere, service was friendly but a little slower then the relaxed place I like. The Osso Bucco was excellent as was the size of the helping at a reasonable price.

We tried several dishes and loved them all. Our teenage sons had the spinach salad and said it was really good. We all at way too much of their fresh warm bread. They did not have chicken parmesan on the menu, but made it for us anyway. It was great! So was the lasagna, ravioli and spaghetti! We will definitely eat here next time we visit Roseburg!!!

We love Italian food and this was a great place. Delicious food, excellent service and even a little piano music. I don’t know if we’ll ever be back(we were just driving through on our way home to California), but if we do we’ll definitely stop at Dino’s again.

I was driving south on Memorial Day weekend and began to feel hungry. My road trip companion and I decided to stop in Roseburg for dinner and researched places to eat. Dino’s had an average of 4 stars on Unilocal and the reviews, while mixed, appeared good enough to take a chance. A gamble I would soon regret. My visit occurred on Friday, May 23. I was greeted by a very cheerful woman who was very sweet. She visited our table several times during the meal to ensure we were okay. I don’t recall her name but she said she is soon to be opening her own American restaurant in Roseburg. My server was the infamous«Ponytail Guy» that is mentioned in most reviews. While I found him to be friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, he did an unforgivable sin. I ordered a bottle of wine and he stated it was excellent. He then returned with a different bottle of wine, already opened, and said he thought I would enjoy this wine more. He didn’t give me the option of changing my mind, he changed it for me and had it already opened. I have never experienced this before in my life. Weird! Here is what we ordered and our thoughts: 1) Spinach Salad. It was very tasty and had the right amount of lemon. What was surprising was that it was a warm spinach salad, as the menu did not specify this. I prefer warm spinach salads. 2) Gorgonzola Gnocchi. It was extremely chewy. The sauce was bland to the point of being nearly flavorless. The plating was boring as well. It was all just… cream colored. I would avoid this dish at all costs. 3) Smoked Salmon Ravioli. It tasted like Lox Cream Cheese inside a black ravioli. It was weird, to say the least, and tasted very cheap. Another dish to avoid. The décor is extremely dated. There is an out of place stage set up near the entrance with a band set up(drums and the like). In the back of the dining room are two large, bright, refrigerators that greatly cheapen the ambiance. All-in-all it was a pretty awful experience from service to ambiance to food.

My wife and I went there for dinner last night and loved it. The first course Tuscan tomato soup was excellent. Main courses of gnocchi and ravioli were both made in house and superb. Tirimisu for dessert topped things off. Prices are comparable to Brix down the street. Go there.

This is a fine«ristorante». Dino’s is open for Dinner and I believe they have a lunch menu on certain days, but usually they are open after 5pm. They offer a wide variety of wine and a smaller limited selection of beer. Their food top-notch and worth the price. I would suggest the lasagna because its is massive and priced lower than other dinner items. Their spaghetti is incredible quit good also and priced lower than the lasagna, but it’s smaller too.
