On a late last second phone call on July 3rd we spoke with the Reynolds House looking for a room. They had a room left and were about to close but waited for us to get there first. We felt so welcomed there. So much warmth from the owners. Loved the place.

We went to New York last weekend for a college graduation. Even though we booked several months in advance, most places, cars and flights were already booked. As luck would have it, we flew JetBlue non-stop from SFO to JFK and then drove about two hours(½ way to the graduation in Ithaca) to the quaint and charming town of Roscoe, where we stayed at the quaint and charming Reynolds House Inn. Upon arrival, the wrap around covered porch with the lights on just for us, indicated we had made the right choice. We stayed in the turn-of-the-century main house, in the king-bed non-smoking Rockefeller Room, where John Rockefeller has reportedly stayed. Breakfast both mornings included fresh coffee, orange juice, waffles that were light, fluffy and crispy – right off the waffle iron – served with real butter, real maple syrup and fresh strawberries. The innkeepers, Louis and Susie, were both warm, friendly and very accommodating. It was easy to print our boarding pass from their office so our return flight was a breeze as well. All this and the small town Memorial Day celebration on our way out made us wish we had more time to enjoy this hidden jewel. We would definitely return.
