I just had my first baby (yay!)
Of course my wife wants to get newborn pictures (I am worried about cheesy pictures).
But– we found Oh Snap! Photography by Amy (yay!)
We had our photo session– and the pictures are not cheesy– they are actually very tasteful. We also had a lot of excellent portrait pictures done of the three of us, and other family members.
She is very professional (she’s been doing this 3 years!), extremely talented, and took away all my anxiety of getting these pictures done. I still have my man card.
I am definitely going to be using her in the future to document my baby growing up. Look no further when looking for newborn/​baby/​child photography. I would have had my wife do her maternity pictures there too had I discovered her before!

I just had a baby and wanted to of course get great pictures as a newborn (and also for someone to take some maternity shots) and someone referred me to Oh Snap! Photography by Amy. She is one stop shopping for the above (and also for pictures of our baby as he gets older!). We just had our photo session and we could not be happier with the results.
She has an amazing gift on working with newborns (who can sometimes be cooperative, cranky, moody etc) and older kids. She is extremely patient. She has a great variety of props– various materials to get pictures that will be memorable for years to come. She is extremely creative, and works well with you to create unique shots. Just check out her website to see her portfolio and you will be amazed!
She is extremely reasonably priced (you are paying for her photo skills/​editing of pictures) — and what’s nice is that she gives you a CD with all the pictures on it– so you can print them whenever and wherever and however you want. She doesn’t offer printing at this time. There are so many places online or locally– it’s cheaper to print them on your own (I found that a lot of photographers come with a high price tag because you have to also buy THEIR prints and do not get to keep a digital copy of pictures without paying a hefty price). You also get full printing rights of your pictures (which is how it should be!)
She is a Rockford native (support local!) I am definitely going to use her in the future to document this exciting journey (and if there are any more to come!) ;)
