Always busy, but their customer service is spot on! Your down home, good cookin’, relaxed place to go!

Locals rave about this place which just tells me that they don’t get out much. Maybe comparing this place to restaurants in neighboring Mojave, Cal City or Boron gives them the impression the place is great. Omelette was nothing to brag about, nor were there over cooked hash browns. I did not order all the flys on the window either, maybe that was just a treat.

I love Wayside Café, good breakfast all day long and the service is always good. I have come in late at night after work, and even though they were close to shutting down, both the service and food were good.

Hadn’t read any reviews on this place before coming here, but I got the biscuits and gravy and they were decent. I read someone’s review about them being«doughy» and I can agree with that. However, I thought they were good. The service was great and they were very friendly. I definitely felt a «family» vibe with the atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Wayside Café to others.

This used to be the Harness Café. This was my grandfather’s restaurant(Mr. Harness himself) for a good amount of time. So glad to see that many of you still really enjoy the staples of southern cooking, like biscuits and gravy! xo

I’m a local. I’ve been eating here all my life. That’s 25 years of complete satisfaction. I’m currently deployed and all I can think about is going back to my home town and eating that sweet sweet country breakfast. It’s practically a religious experience for my friends and me. I’m not even kidding when I say that this place is going to be my wedding venue one day. I love wayside café so much. Nothing compares.

Always a good meal with prompt and easy going service. I go at least once a month for breakfast on the weekends, they are usually pretty busy just showing how good the place is.

This is the go-to spot for breakfast. I’ve spent many a sunrise recovering in a booth with a big plate of s.o.s. and hashbrowns drowning out my buzz. Generally friendly staff, even when my group gets obnoxious.

I’m amazed at how many people rave on their biscuits and gravy. OMG, barf in my mouth. Biscuits are not cooked correctly, dough tasting and gravy has no flavor. Wake up people!!! Eggs served are a small portion. Now let’s talk about the hash browns. Guys these these we’re soggy and gross. Maybe people in Rosamond don’t expect much but I believe that’s not true. I think it’s more like convenience breakfast spot. Choices are limited in Rosamond. I will not return or recommend.

We found this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. Looks can be deceiving. The outside looks worn and the same for the inside. Nothing special. However the food was fantastic. The staff was very friendly. The place may not look like much, but it’s a little hidden gem. I ordered the fried chicken which had an excellent favor. My husband ordered the mushroom burger. I had a bite and it was excellent. We would both visit here again. There should be something in the menu everyone in your party would enjoy.

Their breakfasts are super huge! Chicken fried steak is soooo delicious! Their biscuits and gravy are to die for, coffee always is hot tastes fresh. The atmosphere is always casual and the restaurant is ALWAYS busy for breakfast, they take a little longer to make their food than other restaurants but they are definitely worth the time you wait to get a delicious homemade, home style breakfast! Another fabulously delicious restaurant in Rosamond. Rosamond may be small and desolate, but they sure do have awesome restaurants like this one and a few others. Definitely a must try if you live Rosamond, and worth the drive out here if you live in the Antelope Valley!

If your eluding the empire with a hungry Wookie or a picky Princess this place will please all travelers. The Best Biscuits and Gravy in the Antelope Valley or Galaxy for that matter. No shortage of gravy like the«„Crazy“» place around the block. Its not too far from the freeway, the service is great, and I’ve yet to find something on the menu that isn’t delicious. I suggest getting the Philly Cheese Steak. They slice a real piece of steak into perfect morsels along with bell peppers, mushrooms, and onions on a French roll. Delicious!!! Keep up the great work wayside!

Outside location doesnt look like much, but once inside, its clean with air conditioner. Service is a little slow considering it wasnt busy. Had to ask for coffee on a few occasions. Server was friendly. Huevos rancheros was good, coofee good and kids meal was ok. Food variety is big

This place is always the bomb. I try to eat breakfast here as often as I can! They are like your mommas home made breakfast that you woke up to on Saturdays! Best restaurant in Rosamond hands down.

We shall from this moment forward recall our recent visit to the Wayside Café as «the great gravy incident of 2014»…or perhaps«body by gravy» could also fit the bill. I could probably swim in the gravy. Did I mention the gravy was just yummy and hot and generously served with just about everything on the menu! I also tried the chile verde, tender pork in a lightly spiced sauce. Quick service, mostly locals and it seems like they have the recipe for success worked out as they have been around awhile… and they have gravy. Good gravy!

I stopped in for breakfast, this was my first visit. Upon entering I was told I could sit wherever I wished, I chose a table up front next to the window. A menu was quickly brought to my table and I ordered an Orange Juice. I went over the menu and by the time my beverage arrived I was ready to order. I decided on French Toast. As I waited I looked around, this is a medium sized diner with seating for about 50 inside including 10 at the front counter that runs along the south side of the dining area. The rest of the seating consists of booths running along the north and rear walls and several tables running down the center. There is additional seating for about 15 on the front patio. The diner was very clean, floor, tables, and counters all looked spotless. My order arrived, they took the time to make it look nice and not just throw it on the plate, something I always appreciate being that I am one of those people that photographs my food. The French Toast tasted as good as it looked and I thought it was a good value too.

I got a large breakfast order(about 30 items) for the guys at work here after seeing all of the good reviews and wanted to try something different. We got a variety of things on the breakfast menu from the skillets, omelets, french toast, biscuits and gravy, farmers special, country breakfast, steak and eggs. All in all everything was good they said, the only drawback to being half an hour away was that the food didn’t stay as warm but they packed them all in individual containers so it wasn’t completely cold either. The only other thing was that they didn’t get one guys breakfast order and gave us an extra omelet instead but he ate it and didn’t complain, it was a bit of organized chaos when I came to pick the order up since they were still in the middle of getting everything together but again overall it was well put together. I tried the Mexican skillet and the biscuits and gravy and both were pretty good, so I would recommend this place for breakfast at least! They also have a few regulars that come in for breakfast it seems and one of them was nice enough to help me load up my truck so that deserves the extra star. I love small town diners that have this type of atmosphere.
