I would hope that a market with«Carniceria» translated into English«meat market» would have the South-o-the-Border meat cuts. Actually over the years, I believe due to new management, really spruced up the store. What I like about it is that the meat is fresh often slaughtered locally. The butcher, his sister and mother are very friendly recommending recipes if you don’t happen to know how to cook something. I slow cook the country style ribs at 350 degrees for 3 ½ hours; then grill and slather BBQ sauce all over. It’s heaven: pot roast on a bone! Their Rancheria cut for Carne Asada is awesome – most and tasty!!. I always have them marinade the meats. Costs a bit more/pound, but well worth it! Most beef is around $ 5/pound, but some slightly more or less. Much better than Albertsons and is fresh.

Like walking into a 3rd-world slum. The butcher was chopping on a half cow laying on a table with flies all around. But I still went ahead and purchased some carne asada ’cause what the heck, I’m gonna cook it ;) and I gotta say we all loved it. Maybe it came from that same cow in the back :) because it tasted great(and no one got sick :). Just your basic south-of-the-border-style meat store brought to Rosamond.
