Can;t wait to go back and get a «Quillow» — a Quilt & Pillow in one — $ 64 and up. A good way to take home a piece of quilted art. Lovely merchandise — all hand made(not necessarily by Mennonites but some are.) Great for wedding gifts. So beautiful we could have browsed for at least an hour! And yes, hand made quilts are at least $ 1,000. Friendly ladies running the shop.

Large selection of beautiful quilts, but I wasn’t blown away. Prices were $ 200 – 300 more than at other quilt stores I’ve been to(expect to pay $ 850 to a grand for a queen sized quilt), and it’s hard to see the patterns because of the way quilts are stacked one on top of the other. I also noticed that quilts have the name of the inspector, not the artisan, which struck me as odd. I arrived hoping to find a new quilt for my bed and was ready to pay a good amount, but walked out empty-handed.

Wanna buy a handmade quilt? Well, you can’t touch it without using white gloves and you probably can’t afford it either. The one I looked at was a whopping $ 1,275(yes…that’s a coma and not a decimal), but the detailing is gorgeous and well made. I was surprised this was even open on a Sunday since most things in Amish Country are closed on Sunday for Church. I was greeted upon entering, but I think even the saleswomen knew I wasn’t there to actually buy anything because the pricing is just so unreachable. Sigh. The selection is not too shabby, but I left kinda wanting more… like, something reasonably priced.
