Very nice cozy hotel. Clean room with comfortable beds. Everything I need I found in this room.
Evening receptionist was extremely friendly. Young blond lady. Very helpful. Price is great too.

Bait and switch on the rate! I called the hotel directly on ⁹⁄₂₄ and spoke with «Diane» who quoted me a rate of $ 54 and took my credit card info. When I arrived the next day the bill said $ 64.99. I refused to pay it and then Diane was rude to me saying «your word against mine» and «$ 54 is the weekday rate.» I had never stayed here before so how would I even know that was an actual rate at this hotel? No thanks for screwing up and then not accepting responsibility Diane! I turned around and walked out… on principle, not because I care about the $ 11 difference. Does Diane really think I would walk away and find another hotel in the middle of the night because I couldn’t trick them out of a lousy $ 11? My second consecutive bad experience at a Wyndham property. When you hire trashy people like Diane they give trashy service.

Stayed there recently for one night with my daughter when we took an early bird flight from DTW back to NYC. First room they gave us was actually occupied. We opened the door and a waft of cigarette smoke came out. The tv was blaring so we quietly closed the door and went back to the front. No one in the room noticed us open the door since you couldn’t see the bed from the door. It was so creepy. Also, the hotel was supposed to be non smoking. The front desk staff was nice. They apologized and gave me a new one right away, but it too smelled like smoke. The AC (window unit) was both loud and smelly. The carpet was old and creepy. I do not recommend staying there. I barely slept, it was such a smelly and gross room. This hotel is NOT non smoking.

I am rating this motel 5 stars because of the value and cleanliness for the price. The price is cheap! I book on a third party website so check some of those websites for many many reviews. I felt the staff was friendly and the room was in good repair and the clean. It is very close to the airport. The breakfast is in a room the size of your coat closet and all your extended family is there! Really it’s awful. And the news is on and there’s no controller. But the price tho! That’s why I am sticking with 5 stars. There are waffles and different other of the usual carb items and also oatmeal and a microwave and «juice» that’s not really juice and coffee that’s not actually that bad, but the milk was a little strange… not super fresh… :) It’ll hold you over but it’s not great! The beds run on the firm side. Hmmm, nothing in disrepair in the room. No smoke smell or odors. Air and heat worked fine. Seems like the room was kind of dark though. Toilet sounded like a jet engine… Oh yeah! that reminds me! the motel is in a pathway of jets for the airport and you can hear them when they take off but that lessens after a while. Just flush the toilet you won’t even notice ‘em. Lotsa neat restaurants in Detroit but then you are already on Unilocal… my favorite is Green Dot Stables but it’s all the way toward downtown. Also, of course each room could be different, but my room was nice.
