The course is maintained pretty good. Green was kept in excellent conditions. The price of 18 holes with cart was super good deal for the twilight price. Too bad it was raining on that day. We had to stop at hole number 7 because of the lighting. We came back to the club house, and the pro shop told us to take a rain-check or go out late in 15 min. Since we came from Chicago, my golf buddy and I decided to wait and go out to finish the game. We managed to finish all 18 holes because we got our rain gears with us. All the rangers were very nice to let us finish until dark. The best was when we were ready to drive back home, the pro shop manager(I guess) brought us two hot dogs for us to take them with us. We really needed food since it was cold and we played for 4 hours without food. We were so happy we did not play golf in Canada and played in Michigan. We originally was planning to play golf in Canada, but the officers of the immigration in the area from the Canada side were so rude to us, not very welcomed to visitors from the U.S. Therefore we told ourselves not to spend money in Canada to protest these Canadian rude lady officers. But these Gateway golf club people made our trip happy driving home. You guys were great and we appreciate your hospitality and services. I will be back whenever I’m in the area.
