Buon Appetito

We stopped in this Saturday night, it was smaller than I thought it would be, but we did not have to wait long. I thought it would be busier from all the good reviews. My wife had the spinach & riccota rigatoni. Of course I tasted it, thought it had a very nice garlicky sauce, she though it was a little salty and could use more spinach. I had the famous chicken cremoni and was not disappointed, cooked to perfection. I liked the side pasta and wife thought the tomato sauce was good. We both had the salad with the house dressing, which was very good. Nice homemade bread, but it could use some seasoning or maybe oil or butter to go with it. I think they are doing well for a start up, need to tweek some things, but it was an enjoyable meal that was priced right.

This place is amazing. The best authentic Sicilian food! You have to try it! The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely come back for more

Since there were only a few reviews and they were all so good I was a little skeptical that they were written by family, friends or employees.
I had the eggplant parmigiana, not only was the portion generous, it tasted delicious.
We finished off sharing the tiramisu, it was freshly made and excellent.
Excellent food and service all with a very responsible price!

Some of the best Italian food I have ever had! And you cannot beat the value here. Myself and three others enjoyed three appetizers, four meals (including choice of soup or salad) and a cannoli each with a total bill of $ 89! Everything is fresh, handmade, and authentic. The MUST try’s include:
Mozzarella sticks — salty, briny sticks of mozz, hand battered (of course) and deep fried to perfection, but NOT greasy. You will never look at another mozz stick the same.
Chicken tortellini soup — the kind of soup that makes you feel good inside. The depth of flavor in the broth is unmatched. Vito is truly an allstar chef.
Chicken cremosi — chicken breast pounded thin, lightly battered and pan fried, topped with a creamy, rich, lemon, garlic butter perfection sauce. I could go on and on. You HAVE to try this.
Cannoli — excellent. I’ve never been a cannoli fan because the shells are usually hard and taste like the deep fryer. These shells are light and crunchy with the sweet bright cream it’s cannoli heaven.
We also tried the calamari, Aranchini, lasagna, chicken parm and tiramisu. Everything was wonderful. There is not a bad choice on the menu.
The wait staff is very attentive, smiley, and friendly. Vito, the owner, greeted our table to ask how everything was with his sweet little Italian mother. This place is the real deal. You are sure to enjoy!

I live in Romeo and have seen many restaurants come and go from that particular location. I don’t normally like Italian restaurants but I had read many reviews online about Buon Appetito and just had to try it because all the reviews were perfect which is so rare.
I have to say that I agree with all the other reviews — that was one of the best meals I have ever had. It’s a very small restaurant, they had sufficient waitstaff and the chef came out and greeted us. Everyone was friendly and very helpful.
I personally knew I wanted to have a chicken dish and wasn’t quite sure which one to choose. I asked the waitress which was the most popular and she told me her personal favorite was the Chicken Cremosi. Again I don’t usually like meals that have a cream or sauce on it but that was such an outstanding meal I can’t even explain how good it was! I was with a friend who had lasagna and loved that also.

What a great place in Romeo! Attentive staff, freshly prepared meals that come out of the kitchen super quick, and friendly owners. Everything was perfect!

Incredible food, all fresh made and served at a pleasant pace. I can’t say enough nice things about the quality of the food or the excellent service. Definitely coming back!

I wish there were more than five stars to rate Buon Appetito. If you haven’t eaten here yet, why not?
We went here after hearing there was a new family owned Italian restaurant in town that was pretty good. Saying Buon Appetito is pretty good is like saying Frank Sinatra sang a few catchy jingles. This place in incredible. Upon entry I was greeted by Jeannette and given a wave from Vito in the back. We immediately felt welcomed to this quaint little treasure. The next difficulty was choosing just one item from the vast menu. This didn’t get any easier after learning the sauces were made fresh by Vito every morning. I chose the Chicken Parmesan. The house dressing that came on the salad had great balance and a nice texture. The breading was not too thick and had a traditional taste to it. The sauce was incredible. You really could taste the care that went into the prep. The chicken was perfect, moist and full of flavor. The kids loved the daily all you can’t eat spaghetti special. I was enjoying the food so much, we asked for some meatballs to taste nice flavor. Not overpowering, but enough garlic and spice to really enjoy. I found myself savor in and trying to identify the ingredients. After that experience, I didn’t pass up the cannoli (and I don’t even usually like them). The shell was crisp and filling smooth. I didn’t want to share. The service was great and we enjoyed talking with them.
If you are anywhere near Romeo, you need to stop in. This in not your chain Italian restaurant with pre made dishes. It is something more. You will certainly appreciate Vito’s spin that is created from the obvious care he takes in preparing the dishes. You won’t be sorry you stopped.

We tried Buon Appetito tonight for the first time. It was fresh and amazing! The Arroncini appetizer was delicious — creamy rice in an amazing homemade marinara. Met one of the owners, Jeanette who was so welcoming. Her husband, Vito is the chef and does an amazing job. We will be back!

Delicious food, attentive and friendly service. I will be back, and would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Appearance of the restaurant is plain rather than fancy. Do not let this deter you. Dishes are presented attractively, with generous portions.

Stopped in for a quick dinner on a Sunday night. Very quaint, friendly, no frills and just the right place to cap off a great day at the cider mill. I had the lasagna which was just perfect! My daughter had the Chicken Picante which was cooked to perfection and tasted out of this world and priced right. Definitely make it a point to stop in and visit this great little place. Staff is so friendly, felt right at home.

Got a carry out from here yesterday evening. My mom got the raviolis with a Caesar salad and I got a chicken parm sandwich with the chicken tortellini soup. For starters, the to go boxes were packaged really nicely– they even Saran wrapped them so the sauces wouldn’t spill out. My mom absolutely loved her food, which I tried and was fantastic. The Caesar dressing was done exceptionally well. I think the croutons were even home made– which is awesome. My sandwich was great, it had the perfect amount of sauce and it was a pretty generous portion size. We will be back!

I live down the street and have an office in town. Everyone that I know that’s been there has said the food was absolutely amazing so I had to try it… I COMPLETELY AGREE!
Had the Chicken Cremosi and it was one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten. Anybody who likes Italian food should eat here and eat here TODAY. Simply amazing.
Better than Luciano’s AND Da Francesco’s! Which is saying a lot!

The food here was awesome. Everyone that worked here was super friendly and welcoming. The prices were great, too. Definitely check this place out! Try the tiramisu if you do! We loved it.

Want true home cooked italian pasta dishes… this is the place. Not a big fan of creamy sauces, until now. Wow!!! Every morsel of food so tasty and done with pride. One can tell from the first bite, chef Vito takes great pride and satisfaction in perfecting his passion… mmm Best food I ever had in this town or near. I grew up in Romeo and always had to travel to get a decent meal, therefore the people of Romeo and surrounding towns definitely need to enjoy the best italian cuisine this side of the Mediterranean!!! Great food, service, did I mention extraordinarily low prices for fine food. Eat in or take it out… excellent!!!
