I came here for a Braves Futures game in late March. This is a nice, small stadium in comparison to Turner Field and is good to go to for baseball fans who want to get good seats at a cheap price that are close in to the field. I got some seats for this game for $ 30 that were just three or so rows above the Braves dugout. It was great to be so close in to the field and see the players up close. The Braves played their future stars in the minor leagues, and in this game the minor league players won. There were some really good pitchers in the minors. This might make it worth to make the drive up to Rome in the summer to see some of these games. The food and beverage offerings were about standard for what you would expect. The prices were a little better than what you would pay at Turner Field. Selection was not too big. This was a very crowded game since the Braves major league team played up here. One problem was that the parking situation was not really set up to handle big crowds. There was a long line of cars coming in from multiple entrances all funneled to one parking lot with one attendant taking money from each car as it entered. It took probably 20 to 30 minutes waiting in this line before I got to park. This is something to keep in mind if you come to a big game here. You might want to try to get here early.

State Mutual Stadium is home for the Class A(Rome Braves). It major league club is the Atlanta Braves. It located in Rome, GA that close too two hour drive from Atlanta, GA. I have not been too many minor league ballparks but by far this ballpark has it own personality. Maybe its because of its location secluded in a rural or small town city. Or the fact its as close too lowest level of minor leagues. Combine all the things really neat about this ballpark is feels like field of dreams. In this big open area mostly trees and not developed have this beautiful state of the art minor league ballpark. You look out towards the fences you see all lust trees more trees as backdrop, and feeling close too game since relatively small park. Yet still has some of that big league feel with nice size jumbo screen(shows players stats, profiles, and same type see at major league level), nice club house(that buying drinks, or get food), some suite boxes, and all the giveaways that see at typical minor league game. The outfield area towards right field has nice grass area of family or kids run around during the game. Left field more of beer garden or caters towards adults. The parking lot has more then ample parking even for full house. The food not sure since just having drinks. My last visit had hot dog with my beer and overall say was solid ballpark hot dog. The stadium not new new but love the fact that it upkeep well, everything is clean, modern, and sure if in the Rome area the Braves are in town. Check out a game.
