Herbs has its pluses and minuses. The boot selection is great for work, play, and hunting (aka more play). The ammo selection is actually quite large. They usually stock all of my ammunition needs. I have purchased various things at herbs from jackets-guns-shoes-hats and gloves. For a while they were the only place in Rome for sporting goods, but now we have Runnings.
On the down side, I think Herbs is a little overpriced and they «hawk» you at the door. Big Time.

Great Value and just about anything you could ask for the outdoors man in your life. Pleasantly surprised when we stopped. Under armor, nike, woolrich, and especially a huge Carhart collection.

Herb’s is where I always go for running shoes. I like to shop local, and they’ve always had great customer service. I went in a couple weeks ago for new shoes, and found out they were having inventory problems because of the flooding we’ve had this summer. Even though their warehouse and stock was gone, Kevin in the Rome store’s shoe department tracked down my new running shoes in the size I needed. He went above and beyond when he didn’t have to, and I really appreciated his help.
