Today was my second trip for Sunday brunch. Food was under par today. Or at least the breakfast selections. No grits or potatoes on the buffet. Bacon not crisp. Coffee served in a styrofoam cup.

Brunch is amazing here and dinner is excellent as well. One time, my boyfriend ordered a steak and it was overlooked and the potatoes were cold. He’s not usually one to complain, but they were overly apologetic brought him a new entrée cooked to perfection and comped the meal. The night ended well! Service is always excellent. Very nice restaurant and staff.

Been there forever. Never changes, great atmosphere and service. Enrertainment is good, but, except for Goose Creek, not my bag.

We love eating at Harvest Moon and do so regularly– great food at reasonable prices, quick service, awesome ambiance, and friendly wait staff. If you are passing through Rome this is the place to eat!

Came here in New Years Eve Day. The hostess sat our party of 5 immediately. Waiter told us about the days specials, which was catfish. My daughter ordered the grilled shrimp burrito which was fab! My other daughter ordered the salmon BLT which was just as good. I ordered the fried green tomato sandwich which was excellent!

There for dinner tonight and the food was really special. My group of 4 each enjoyed their entrées. I recommend the wicked cheesesteak as it was excellent. The service has a lot to be desired. It was obvious that since we were an early seating, the waitress was trying to rush us out so they coukd seat those waiting. The check came right after the entrees. My plate was swiped before I completely finished my meal. She just came from behind and grabbed it when I was reaching for a napkin. After the check, we were waiting for refills but she never came back. Despite bad service, the place seemed very nice and the food is good. I just wish we had somone different. Our experience was ruined.

On Sunday we came in and were promptly seated. The waiter was very nice, but never brought us menus. We waited waited and then waited. I finally asked him if they had menus and he said, «We have a buffet in the back room.» I guess everyone in Rome knows that, but we are tourists. The Sunday buffet has a short, but fulfilling southern breakfast table. Complete with grits, thick bacon, biscuits, gravy, and eggs Benedict. I stopped there first because it seemed appropriate given it was not quite noon. The lunch spread was much, much larger. On this mid-November Sunday, the lunch foods were classics: fried chicken, catfish, meatloaf, and fixings. However, there are some seasonal dishes as well: sliced turkey, ham, green bean casserole, and pumpkin. There was so much food that it was difficult to try just a tiny bit of each item. By the time I reached the three desserts I was down to «half a bite» of the peach cobbler, banana pudding, and the third item that I cannot recall. The buffet was a great deal at under $ 12 each, but I advise drinking water. My wife’s iced tea was $ 2.50.(I say I am frugal, but my wife calls me CB.”

We tried Harvest Moon several times before giving up on it. The food was pretty mediocre. Hit and miss for sure. It seems to be a popular place and the bar area is very cool, but the dining room is noisy and although we have had good service there, the food isn’t worth the price to us.

Nothing good to say. Mediocre service, bad food. I would not recommend. Save your money and time to go somewhere else. Very disappointed.

Love the atmosphere and the menu is great! Not the same old food that you can get anywhere.

Cheerful service but mediocre food. When I ordered shrimp and grits, the grits came out completely undercooked and inedible — a travesty for a southern soul kitchen. The dish, despite coming with a sauce, lacked any seasoning whatsoever — I had to douse my plate with hot sauce to make it edible. Finally the so-called«signature» sweet potato chips were profoundly disappointing– they were soggy, oily, and lacking any crisp. All around lackluster meal, but giving two stars based on the attentive server.

The only reason they don’t get 5 stars is because of service. Everything else from the food to the atmosphere is delightful. We visited for a bridesmaids lunch and cannot wait to return. It’s the most delicious food and drinks in Rome, GA. I will be visiting anytime I go visit my grandparents. DONOTLEAVEWITHOUTTRYINGTHEHOMEMADECHIPSANDCHEESEDIP. Holy deliciousness. They also have a tasty bloody mary, pimento burger, and friend green tomatoes :)

We came for brunch on a Saturday because we were in town for a wedding. They had a great lunch menu, but we had missed the cutoff for any breakfast or brunch type treats. The restaurant wasn’t too busy, but the service was extremely slow. I wouldn’t recommend coming in on a Saturday. The food was good, and they had traditional southern-style food with a twist. Delicious food, but they make you wait for it.

Went for a dinner date. Very nice on the inside, and I love the split between the dining area and the bar. I feel like you don’t see enough of that. The food was very, very good. Worth returning for. The menu, however, was very boring, plain, and not full of options. Thankfully, our waitress(Kelli) was extremely accommodating, and helped us order what we wanted, even if it wasn’t exactly on the menu. I’d love to see the lunch menu incorporated into the dinner menu. So many exciting options and different things to try!

I’m in Rome for work and have come here twice since it’s near my hotel. The first time was for dinner with my coworkers. The food was good, drinks delicious(but pricey), and our waitress was fantastic. The second time I came for lunch by myself. Table was covered in food from a previous customer, drink glass was filthy, and waitress was horrible. She acted completely put out that I didn’t want to drink from a dirty glass and told me there was no hot sauce in the crab cake(there is). She dropped off my food and check without a word. So disappointed since the first visit was good.

I’m pretty sure I submitted a negative review for Harvest Moon Café a few years ago, but I decided to give it a second chance this past year. I really wished that I hadn’t. The atmosphere and bar are the only thing I can speak fondly of. Drinks are a little pricey, but the overall selection is excellent. The food, however, is overpriced and low quality. My husband and I attended the New Year buffet, and the only thing I could stomach was the bread pudding. I was really disappointed in the quality of some of my FAVORITE southern dishes. We have not(and will not be) returning again.

Great food, great place. We ate here with a party of five and all had different food. Everyone enjoyed their meals.

I waited until my second visit to review just to make sure it is really this good. The first time I tried the blue cheese dip with sweet potato chips. beyond yummy and a philly sandwich. This time I had the red headed stranger burger. again, yummy. The service has also been great on both occasions. I so look forward to trying other options on the menu and the Sunday brunch which other Unilocalers rave about.

Located in downtown Rome, Harvest Moon Café is a very good lunch spot for homestyle cooking. More than just a «meat and three» establishment, this restaurant also has burgers, salads, and an extensive sandwich menu. If good old Southern cooking is what you crave, pick a meat and two or three sides to satisfy your taste buds. Don’t want meat? The veggie plates — choose three or four — are inexpensive and delicious. Definitely try the collards, and don’t forget to slurp up the liquid gold(pot likker) at the end. It was my favorite side dish by far. Cheesy grits were a little soupy, but full of flavor, while the black eyed pea salad was a little bland, even goosed with jalapeños and pepper sauce. One interesting menu item is the salmon BLT. Sounds a little weird, but one of my clients ordered it and it looked and smelled amazing. He devoured every bite. Portions are plentiful. Service is friendly and very efficient. You won’t wait long for your food. If you’re in the area, I heartily recommend stopping by for an enjoyable meal.

Pimento Cheese. I don’t care what else you order, but make sure it includes a serving(or two, or three, or four…) of their pimento cheese. Even if you don’t like pimento cheese. Even if you avoid dairy. Even if… well, you get the idea. Their pimento cheese here is legendary for a reason — it is sharp, smooth, tangy, cheesey, slightly spicy, and just about perfect. I had it melted on top of their open faced grilled cheese sandwich, which at $ 6, is a total bargain for the generous portions. The sandwich also came with a side salad, which was much more than your typical plate of shredded lettuce, and had an excellent homemade blue cheese dressing. The veggie plate enjoyed by my dining companion was also very, very good, with the macaroni and cheese being the standout side. So basically, anything with cheese here is a winner. The restaurant is big, with an interior room, covered/enclosed porch area, and outdoor patio, and I was worried when we chose our seats on the sparsely occupied patio that we would be forgotten by our server. However, this fear was unfounded, as our server took excellent care of us(even offering to-go cups of Diet Coke for use to take on the road), and the food came out quickly. When looking for a local spot to grab a bite in quaint, downtown Rome, I highly recommend Harvest Moon Café.
