In my attempt to zip line with this company, I left 2 voice mails over the course of a week requesting a call back regarding a reservation. Their main website did not list hours of operation but their mobile site indicated they were open daily from 10 – 6. I took a chance and drove over an hour on a Monday only to find their gates locked. I called again and their VM message changed to indicate reservations could be made for Tues-Sun. I called the Event Center and Garden which shares the property with DD and was informed«Hmmm…They are closed on Mondays… the website was supposed to have been changed» The next day I sent an email expressing my frustration with receiving no call backs and the inaccurate hours of operation on their mobile site. It has been over a week and I have received zero response to that email as well. I am sincerely disappointed with the lack of basic customer service, as well as the waste of my time and my gas.

Glad I chose Daredevil Ziplines for my first experience. My guide was absolutely awesome. His instruction session was clear and simple to learn. He was professional and incredibly patient even as I took 15 minutes to complete one of the ziplines-lol. Love the obstacle course. It was difficult enough to be challenging, but not frustratingly hard or tedious. Tips: wear long pants and loose fitting shirt. Use the bathroom before you get to the site(they only have porta-potties). Bring cash and tip your guide.

Daredevil Ziplines is pretty fun, and if you can get the discounted rate(a group of four or more, or a Groupon) it’s a good price. Some of the guides were great. Some of them were. not so great, and more interested in flirting with their co-workers than making sure people were being taken care of. That’s OK if you work at say, Bojangles. Not so cool if people are swinging between trees on just five minutes of training. I had read some scary reviews before going, and I think some were a bit exaggerated… still, there were definitely points where I didn’t feel safe. Is anchoring a bunch of lines into a dead tree OK? I’m no zip line expert, but that seems like some pretty questionable engineering. All in all, I’d say 80% of the staff were really good, and 80% of the runs seemed legit. I think if they could shore up the other 20% and boot out the 17 year-old staff members who don’t give a sh*t, this place could be really awesome.
