Pageant of the Masters but Not! I’ve only been to this church for the Pageant of Our Lord that they put on around Easter time! It is just like Pageant of the Masters but more centered around Jesus and His life before and after he was crucified. This year marked the 30th year of Pageant of Our Lord, which is REALLYEXCITING if you have seen if for a while because you can see the progress like it is much longer it is now then in the beginning. Ticket prices are only max $ 18 dollars for adults. Children are less. It was cheaper years ago so that is another change. When I tell you this is so MAGNIFICENT and WAY cheaper than the one in Laguna! You get the SAME effect but I think even MORE so because you actually have a really close seat. They even have their choir singing to go along with the entire show and a few moderators that explain things just like the original in Laguna. SIMPLYWONDERFUL! I have brought several people over the years to see to see this and everyone just loves it! It’s a bit of a trek from the O. C but WELLWORTH it! Plus the parking is so MUCH easier and closer. I like to go to the first showing on Saturday mornings because it seems lighter then in the afternoon crowd plus I have my entire day left to do what I want which is always GREAT! It last for about a month and a half before and one week or so after Easter! If you have always wanted to see Pageant of the Masters but can’t afford it come here. Even if you’re not a believer they WILLNOT try and convert you or anything or sacrifice you on the alter like a chicken! It’s a GREAT experience for the entire family and it is truly moving as well. Tickets go on sale around February or so but the church advertises on their website and you can get your tickets via the web too! Once you go and if you sign up they send emails or info in the mail so you don’t forget to get your tickets for the next year. I’m sure once you see this production and realize all the work that goes into it and the volunteers it takes to put it on you will have a great appreciation for the arts themselves and maybe you’ll feel compelled to fork over the cash for the one in Laguna during the Sawdust Festival! I think one of the people who does the make up for the one in Laguna goes to church here but I really don’t know for certain but I believe that is how it all started 30 years ago.

This is a mini Pageant of the Masters – all about Jesus. It may only happen around Easter; it could happen at Christmas as well. This was a spectacular show! From the conductor and the full orchestra that could have played soundtracks for movies, to the choir who sang angelically and could have been on a track, to the ballet dancer, to the main attraction: the tableau. Everything was spectacular! The ushers were on post, the welcome committee was available, the greeters were helpful, and the other participants were delightful as well. I can now add this to my repertoire. I will attend this event each year! Absolutely excellent!
