Let me be frank, Rolla does not have good food to offer. Even the fast food doesn’t come out right. This BBQ joint is the top list in Rolla. The chicken is delish! With lots of bbq sauces to choose from. The KC bbq sauce was my favorite. Also, great service. If you’re in Rolla or passing by. Check this place out.(Also, since the food in Rolla is slim Pickens also check out Jimmy Johns and Panera as other good alternatives. That’s basically the only food worth eating Lastly! Check out the Giddy Goat! Some of the best coffee I’ve had.)

Got the ribs and turkey two-meat platter with green beans and cole slaw. Turkey was pretty good, ribs disappointing. There were only three and the meat fought for it’s life to stay on the bone. Sides were run of the mill. The server was very sweet and got to us right away after we were seated, but the piled up plates with napkins on them… clearly done… stayed on the table way too long.

How do you feed a hungry soldier who just finished basic? We went to Bandana’s BBQ in Rolla Mo. My son said he hasn’t been full for 8 weeks so we went with the 4 person platter. All the meats were good, the ribs were outstanding! Fit sides we went with okra, slaw, BBQ beans and fries. All were tasty. The selection of 6 sauces were nice also, or fav was the Chicago Sweet. BTW, he finally was able to get filled up.

The dinner turkey platter was awesome. I’ve also had the pork platter in the past both were to perfection. Once our order was place, minimal wait time. Make the drive past Sweet Water BBQ to enjoy fresh smoked BBQ.

Some good service for a holiday. Had three meat dinner and wife had pulled pork sandwich. Dang it was good. The atmosphere is great and good ol country music on the radio. Nice selection of BBQ sauces. Sweet and sour, KC style, Chicago sweat, spicy and the original. Can’t say much for deserts as there was no room left. They have a full bar with nice selection of beer.

Average fair with buckaroo ambiance… Ordered the pick 2 platter and chose the sausage and pork. The pork was a bit dry and sausage had good flavor but the casing was very tough. The highlights of the meal was the beans and sweet tea. Both had good flavor and the perfect amount of sweetness. Price and ambiance were on par but with all the choices for BBQ I would try another business before returning… this one does not make the list.

Vegetarians beware! This place serves some good lean meat! I ordered a platter for two which had ¼ lbs of beef, pork, chicken and half a slab of ribs. First of all the ribs were really amazing. They had a perfect coating and they were perfectly smoked! The pork could’ve been better, somewhat dry in taste but still acceptable. Beef pieces were my second favourite after the ribs, They weren’t overdone and they weren’t rubbery. Flavour was good as well. The chicken was slightly undercooked it seemed, with a slight hint of red on the bone, could’ve been an effect from the smoking though. We received two sides, one fries and one beans. Both were very good and quite big for a side! The garlic bread was very delicious and perfectly toasted. portioning of the bread was great and holding the bread was very easy. The interior was very nice, stylised under a country theme, with a nicely written name of the restaurant on the wall with rope. The tables come with multiple sauces to choose from and are basically part of the main course considering the meat is unseasoned or marinaded. The table comes with a whole paper towel roll since a lot of it is finger food which I consider a very helpful thing to have on the table. The meal itself also came with a moist napkin in a pouch. The exterior is also very pleasant and inviting! I can suggest Bandanas to anyone who enjoys meats without any marinade or rubbed in flavours. The selection of sauces are all quite different and taste good! My personal sauce favourite is Chicago Sweet mixed with some Spicy. Go for a visit, unless you are a vegetarian!

If writing a book on «A Westerner’s Guide to Traveling East», I would make this a «Must Stop» for any itinerary. The sports bar TV selection offers good variety. The staff morale is sky high. The food is excellent! It was served piping-hot and the ingredients were savory. Start with ribs and go from there. We shall return.

Had an average experience here — food wise. Ordered ribs with sweet potato fries and cole slaw. Fries and slaw were alright. Ribs were not totally satisfactory, they come dry and sauces are at the table(4 different styles). Okay, that how they do it here, that I don’t particularly like this attempt might be my personal problem. But I found the ribs to be a bit short on meet, they barely had meat on the bones. Also I like spare ribs with the meat pretty much falling of the bones. Not so much with the ribs here, it has actually been work to scrape that little bit of meat off the bones. Taste wise the ribs were alright, especially of course with some of the 4 sauces added. Just the spicy sauce was disappointing too, not spicy at all. Service was very friendly and attentive. Food was served fast. I might try Bandana’s again should I come across one of their restaurants again — not for the ribs though, but maybe for something else.

I had called and made Reservations for 8:30PM. After Graduation — so I was afraid that they would be swamped with people. They DIDNOT put my Reservation down and that kind of ticked me off, but luckily it wasn’t very busy. I remember that it was a young man who took the Reservation AND he specifically asked me if that was Graduation night(because I had booked it a month in advance). I took the recommendations of some of the previous reviewers and got the baked beans and a side salad with my ribs. My Husband got the beans and cole slaw. with the beef and pork plate. My Husband enjoyed his entrée, but disliked both the beans and cole slaw. I had just made cole slaw and he likes mine much better — he said«it was too sweet and where’s the onion?» So I gave it to our Daughter — who said almost the exact same thing. The beans were very bland, but I ate mine and we gave our Son his Dad’s beans. The bread was good, but not garlicky at all. My ribs were overcooked and dried out. I enjoyed my salad and i liked their BBQ Ranch dressing. Actually made me wish I had ordered their large dinner salad with meat toppings. Our Son and his girlfriend shared a dinner for 2 — with five meats and two larger sides. They seemed to really enjoy it. Our Daughter got a chicken dinner and our Son-In-Law got ribs. Neither one complained, but didn’t rave about it either. We had a 7th person in our party who got the pulled pork sandwich and she seemed to enjoy it, I will say that their Iced Tea was delicious and our Server offered to refill all of our drinks, including the sodas, which was nice! They did have a selection of 4BBQ Sauces. What they considered ‘Spicy’ was not at all spicy. Dinner for 7 people with a tip ran $ 148. Not exactly inexpensive. Our server was very attentive and made no mistakes on our order. I would go back and probably get that salad next time and my Husband said that he would chose different sides.

Was staying at baymont and decided to walk over. Was told that the ribs was the thing to get. So ordered 2 meat plate. It came with garlic bread, which was very good. For my 2 side I got bbq beans and slaw. Two meats«beef» and ribs. The beef was not brisket so was a little confused. The ribs were tender but flavor was not great and membrane was still on back side. Best part of the meal was the staff who were very nice.

Always good! Same quality and consistency of any in the St. Louis area. Great staff! Seriously, super nice people! Kudos to management for hiring these folks! BBQ Nachos are my favorite and the meats… oh and BBQ potatoes… it’s all good.

Good BBQ, have had better, but it was really good! All the meats were hardly lukewarm… Not hot. If you are in Rolla, this is a good place to cure your BBQ craving.

Very good ribs, chicken and beef. 5 kinds of sauces available. Pulled pork was just average. Garlic bread was fabulous, Texas Toast– type but with obvious slices from a loaf of good bread. Applesauce was chunky and very good. Green beans were not very flavorful but the baked beans were way above average. Well worth the stop on our drive to Texas.

We found Bandanas BBQ on Unilocal as we were passing through! Great find! I had the ribs, fried okra and potato salad, all yummy! I tried all 5 sauces and liked the Chicago sauce best! Everybody is different and has different taste, so try ‘em all! DH had a pulled pork sandwich with fries. His only complaint was that he couldn’t get pickles and onions to put on it!(We’re from Texas and that’s what he is used to) but said it was tasty nonetheless! Service was excellent and quick! Would definitely stop by again when passing through!

Great atmosphere and good service. Ribs were tasty. Skip the green bean side-they were from the can. Potato salad, however, was as good as homemade. Seating was comfortable and the noise-level was fine. We were able to converse. Waitress cleared out table and invited us to «take your time».

Having moved from Kansas City to Maryland in 2009, I’ve been missing some good BBQ. So when I had to travel to MO on business, I knew that I had to find the best around. The front desk clerk at my hotel recommended Bandana’s, and since it was conveniently right next door I could walk to it without having to go back out in the car. I sat at the bar and had a nice tall Boulevard beer, and ordered the pork plate. They have several sauces to choose from, and I actually blended a couple to get just the right flavor that I was looking for. As for the sides, the fried okra was amazing! And the garlic bread is the perfect touch. I ate much more than I should, and didn’t feel one second of guilt for it.
