The Loft at the Boulevard Salon

I cannot say enough about Ms. Morgan and her amazing waxing and nail game! The woman does good work!!! The facility is super cute, very clean and the staff is friendly. I live in Portland, Or., but I make it a point to come and see Morgan whenever I’m in town!!!

I have tried most of the salons in the area and I am so pleased to be here… good manicurists are difficult to find in RP and I found the best in Shannon B… I have thin nails which break easily and gels used to chip in the first week. Shannon took on my nails as a challenge… she did repairs at no charge… until she found the right combination of products to work with my nails… now my gel manicure lasts… she is also a creative nail artist who does special occasion work or just something unique… I enjoy talking and laughing with her and the manicure is fun… she doesn’t hurt my cuticles and she uses lovely oils on my hands… all at an incredibly fair price… you can’t go wrong with Shannon.

From faded red to blonde (3 appointment process) Nicholle at the Loft really takes her time to ensure your hair gets where you want it in the most healthy way possible. I have yet to experience any breakage in my hair and I’ve been blonde for 6 weeks now. Love!

I went to get my hair done by Michelle as recommended by a friend. She was so friendly and sweet to begin with and absolutely exceeded my expectations of my hair. She knew exactly what I wanted and made it happen. I don’t know very much about hair so it is always a little difficult to communicate what I actually want but she did everything I wanted and more. I will also call her and her twin sister if I ever need my makeup or hair done for an event! Thank you Michelle!

Love this place I wouldn’t go anywhere else now that I found Kim! She takes whatever ideas or pictures I want and does my nails/​toes perfectly! She’s the best nail tech I’ve ever had and will continue going to her for as long as I get my nails done. My gels last 3 weeks always perfect. She has every glitter possible as well!

I tried this place based on two friends recommendations. I prefer to only have colored polish on the tips, I didn’t think that was very complicated. My overall experience of this salon is just very poor. I went maybe 6 or 7 times hoping the end result would get better. I really liked the gal Kim I was going to but was never happy with my nails. I even changed what I would get to see if she could do better with something else. The last 2 times, I switched to pink and whites thinking it can’t get much simpler than that. This last time, 7 of my 10 nails started lifting after a week and they would lose their shine after a few days. They would then look dull until I got a fill. I get a fill every 2 weeks, religiously, so this shouldn’t be happening. Never had I ever been to another salon where I had so much lifting in my nails and I’ve been getting my nails done on and off for years. Tips were never glued onto my nails, all the acrylic was on my nails and thwyre long. So because of this there would be a lot of flexibility and weakness in my nails. The C curves on my nails were never consistent. Some would be off center and some would be almost flat. My whites would chip super easily and would look almost pitted. They don’t use drills very much to file nails, they do most of it by hand with a nail file and a buffer so you’re there for 2 – 3 hours. This the first salon I’ve ever been to that does all that by hand. So my nails kept coming out lumpy and it would drive me nuts. And the pinks would look super bubbly under the surface. Then as my nails would grow out, small sharp pieces of acrylic would stick out the sides of my nails (because they don’t use drills much) and the sharp pieces would poke and cut me. I would have to file my own nails every couple of days to keep them down. Like I said, I get my nails done every 2 weeks, and never had I ever had to maintain my own nails so much when actively seeing a nail expert. I’m paying whoever is doing my nails for their expertise. I’m paying for your skill and training. I’m not paying for someone to practice on my nails. I shouldn’t have to tell a nail expert how to do basic nails. Also, the salon is super gossipy. It’s not relaxing at all. You’re already there for a long time. Everyone is super chit-​chaty but when I get my nails done I want to sit and relax. I don’t want to carry on a conversation for 2 – 3 hours.
I’m a server at a fast paced, high end restaurant. My nails must be a 10 at all times and they must be strong. Definitely didn’t get what I was looking for here.

I have been going to Jen and Erin for my nails and lashes for years! But recently I went there to get my hair done. Ashley Is incredible. She fixed a bad hair job that I had done and she made me look fabulous. I even brought my daughter back to get her haircut and Ashley made her look adorable.

Great salon with a great group of staff. I’m happy with my nails every time I leave and if there is an issue I know they’d be quick to help fix! There are lots of colors, glitter, and goodies to choose from so the options are endless. Jessica is my go to girl but if she is busy or out of town I’m happy to make an appointment with another girl!

This place has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced… specifically Mandy Johnson. I contacted Mandy after finding her Instagram. I did not receive or call or text back after me asking her if she had availability to do my nails. I followed up a few days later asking again if she was accepting new clients… again I receive no response back. At this point it is just plain rude to not respond to a possible client.
After still not receiving response back, I look at her instagram again to double check I am texting the right number and I find she has added a «Currently not taking new clients» line under her name. I can most definitely understand she has a full book of clients, but why burn the bridge with possible future clients? Mandy has left a bad taste in my mouth regarding this whole salon. Good luck with these girls if you decide to get your nails done there… RUDE!

I made an appointment for early on a Saturday because I had a wedding to go to in Middletown. I HATE getting out of the house early o. A weekend because I like to hang in my pjs way too long! Anyhow I had to get my dragging a$$ out and get moving! My appointment was for 8 am and I was very pleased that my nail tech could accommodate! I arrived at 7:55 and waited! My friend was already sitting and having her nails worked on (she was going to the wedding with me) I waited and waited some more, my nail tech was 35 minutes late– I realize sugar happens but it was embarrassing, like she forgot -!!! Ok fine she arrived my nails were fine in the end.
What really pushed me over the edge is that I sat there waiting and noticed all the cobwebs, dirty areas hidden in the corners-​it really bugged me! I wanted to clean while I was waiting. The owner apparently just had a baby not too long ago (believe me I Understand BABY coma) but you need to keep your shop clean. This was last year, 8−8−15 when I was there but it still bothers me. I own a shop and we have a strict cleaning regimen, what you show your public, is what you are! Poo !

Nichole has been doing my hair for years and I’m so happy she’s now at Loft! The salon is super cute, very relaxing and always full of clients so you know they must be good! She always gets my hair exactly how I want it even though sometimes I don’t even know what I want! She’s one of the best in Sonoma County by far!

I would give this place negative stars if I could. For whatever reason they couldn’t get their stuff to work and my gel on my toes wouldn’t stick. So after the girl filed away at my toe trying to get it to stick, it’s finally bleeding and hurting pretty bad on three toes she did it to. Awesome.
Since I just noticed the salon workers comment, I would just like to add that multiple times I told her that I could just pick another color so I wouldn’t have to have my nails torn apart. Since the comment back was so petty, I would like to know what your response is as to why my toes were bleeding when I left if it was just a product error. The product didn’t make me bleed. Your nail tech did. Idiots.

I found my nail girl! I am new to acrylics and the Loft was the third salon I tried out after being referred here. Love it! Morgan did an awesome job! Quality work! This place is worth the drive from Rincon Valley!

This was my second time coming to Kim and I’m in love! She’s so sweet and makes you feel welcome and like y’all have been friends for years! I brought it in a picture from Instagram and replicated it better than I could have imagined. I’m so excited to come here every 2 weeks. My friends gets her nails done by Mikayla and she’s also really good! I get so many compliments on my nails and refer them all here! So grateful I found The Loft!

I’ve been getting my nails done by Jena for two years and love the salon. Did I think it could possibly get any better??? Heck no! The whole crew there is sweet and informing. After hearing that they decided to open a hair salon in the shop I was asked by Jena if I knew any good stylists. After we started talking about who does my hair we were both happy to realize that one of the girls she wanted there is actually Nichole!!! The only person in the last 10 years who I have let touch my hair is Nichole! She has a magic touch with cut and color that I’ve never seen from another person. I go in with faded color, tons of split ends and a lot of growth and every time I leave I am astonished. She is a hair guru!!! So excited that she is now a part of their family!!! I know that people will be so happy with their hair in Nicholes hands:)
I also wanted to write a review for Tatiana the girl who does the spray tanning. Yesterday while I was there getting my hair done which takes a long time due to my extensive amount of hair (sorry Nichole I love you lol) Tatiana had a couple of clients come in for spray tans. I watched them go in and come out a beautiful tan color. Very even and not orange at all!!! I was very interested so I asked her for a card and she took the time to sit and talk with me about the levels of colors and what her products are made from. She was so sweet and informative. She even told me she has a great deal for first time clients that want to try it out which I thought was amazing since I’ve never had a spray tan and am so white I am nervous. I am definitely going to give it a try!!! Thank you for the information Tatiana:)

Jena Cash is hands down the BEST nail artist I’ve ever gone to. Emphasis on the artist! She is always able to take what design I have in my head and turn into sets that get compliments for weeks! Morgan has always done an amazing job with my eyebrows. Waxing with her is quick and she always shapes and trims them to perfection!
Simply put, the salon is wonderful and you leave feeling pampered and beautiful. What more can a girl ask for? Book an appointment with them NOW!

This salon has many services. My review is for Tatiana, who does spray tans.
Tatiana is wonderful. She is kind, funny, and makes you feel comfortable during the spray tan process (for some it can be a bit uncomfortable since you are nude or almost nude). I have done a few spray tans over the years and, HANDS DOWN, she is the best. She is a perfectionist and makes sure that every spot on your body is sprayed and dried to perfection. I have never had a better spray tan in my life. She has great hours of availability that fits perfectly for those of us with a full-​time job. My first appt was at 9am before work. My second appt was at 530pm after work.
She is also easy to be reached. I can text her at any time to ask questions or schedule my next appt.
In addition to Tatiana being a great lady, her product is also the best. She doesn’t use the junky mystic tan. Instead, she uses a product that has mostly natural ingredients (walnuts are the base for the tan color). The tan lasts a long time and it fades naturally. No peeling or awkward orange flakes. No one could tell that I had a spray tan.
Another great bonus? She has very reasonable prices and begins with a discount price for the first appt. Although her prices could vary, I paid $ 20 for my first appt. She also offers discounts on Thursdays (which I think is the best day to tan so you can sleep on it and be ready for the weekend!).
If you ever need a spray tan, look no further, Tatiana is the best. She has a customer for life.
