Rich Robertson Painting & Wood Preserving

Rich and his crew painted the exterior of my neighbor’s house, and I was so impressed with the thoroughness of their prep work that we hired them to do the exterior of our house, which must have had 10 previous coats of paint. They removed old paint, repaired and/​or replaced deteriorated wood underneath, patched and repaired stucco, and the finished job is perfect. We later had Rich and crew come back and do the entire interior of our house, as well as painting all of our interior doors. For the latter, they set up an enclosed spray painting «shop» in our garage. Again, the work is perfect, and there is not a nicer group of people to have working in your home. There is no other painting contractor that we would consider after working with Rich. Our house is in San Rafael, and Unilocal should include Rich Robertson in its recommended painting contractors for Marin County. He works in San Francisco, as well.

I have used Rich Robertson and his friendly crew several times and he has essentially re-​painted almost every room in my house over the past several years. I agree with Liz M.‘s post about cost but I believe if you «buy cheap, you get cheap». If I wanted a mediocre job, I would have painted it myself, but I keep calling Rich because his work is flawless. I have a few rooms with medium to dark colors and the cut-​in line where the paint stops and the white trim begins is straight and clean. I know I couldn’t have done it and many «cheap» painters, cut corners there because it takes time to make it look perfect. I will continue to use Rich and I highly recommend him.

We had Rich paint our downstairs in the house we just bought, including our cathedral ceilings. He is wonderful! So professional and knowledgeable. He gave us a very detailed and accurate estimate. Rich is not the least expensive painter out there but he is also not the most expensive either. His work reflects the quality and time he and his crew put in. His crew is prompt, polite, and hard-​working. Rich even came by after the job was done (and the paint dry) to check in and make sure I was happy with the finished product. I actually couldn’t be happier! I have more projects to do in the future and can’t wait to work with Rich again. I highly recommend his company to anyone looking for a quality paint job.
