Wow! Tow companies have a bad rep because of awful people like this ‘family owned’ heartless tow company. Scenario: Portland girl, and therapy dog stuck in grants pass with broken car on 90+ degree day. On phone with AAA for 11+ hrs, and finally a tow truck arrives!!! I give him a HUGE hug! 16, or 18 yr old ‘Grandson’ is getting trained to be a lifer with his family owned business, and doesn’t want ma or gram mad at him… Leaves my car, which can’t be started, in the middle of a parking lot(which he pulled out of the spot to load) key in ignition and splits, because he doesn’t want to drive all the way to Portland, on a beautiful Thursday afternoon. It’s the only possible theory I’ve been able to come up with. He has my car pulled out, tied up, and loading, when he tells me to put my(heatstroke) dog in the car, which had been sitting, windows up all day long until 5PM when he showed up. The weather is over 90° out. The car must’ve been over 120° inside. when I opened the door, heat waves started pouring out. I begged him to allow my super mellow, medium sized dog in the extended cab where I had gotten a new dog bed for him, and hadn’t even been used, with a brand-new blanket, so he wouldn’t harm the integrity of the interior of his tow truck. He said no way. I said I had ADA paperwork for him. He’s a therapy dog. I got on the phone to call his supervisor to see if there was anyway we could work this out. The supervisor is his grandma!!! He walks around the corner and sees me on the phone, and starts yelling at me and then unties my car, lowers it, and drops it in the middle of the parking lot, blocking 6 cars!!! I asked him what was wrong, and he said he didn’t want his mama and grandma mad at him!!! Lol He thought I was calling the ADA. I said call your company and they’ll tell you I was on the phone with them! He argued and argued and argued like any teenager would, and when I finally got him to agree to call his grandmother, who is the ONLY dispatcher, apparently, she confirmed that she was talking to me about the situation. At this point, That didn’t matter to him, even though that was apparently his excuse for why he was leaving me in the middle of a parking lot, now 5:30pm on a Thursday in grants pass. I begged and begged and pleaded my case. He wanted to put my therapy dog in an over 120° car for 6+ hrs! So, In a state of absolute panic, at one point I said ‘fine, lets put Opie in the car, but I’m riding in there too, or we’re stopping every 30 min to check on him, water, walk, etc. by this point there is nothing I could say to get him to give me a ride home. Thank God for CAVEMAN towing!!! Omg! My guardian angle!!! He came the very next morning, and saved us and brought us up to Portland safe and sound!!! He was a very kind, and patient man, and we worked out a very simple and easy way to get me and my dog safely up to Portland, and I would refer anybody to caveman towing 1 million times!!! Ha! Also, the family for precision won’t tow on Sunday’s, because they like to watch football and get drunk, so there’s the family business priorities for you! I’d say, if they had ANY competition, they’d be WAY out of business years ago! At the rate this ‘grandson’ is going, it’ll be a few years, at the most before their shitty customer service comes back to bite them in the ass. At least the grandson dodged the lawsuit, but one day they will kill a dog and they will loose everything! I just couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t at least warn the ‘world’ and thank you caveman! My baby and I are home safe, and I have a new ‘grandpa’ figure! Everything happens for a reason, but do not go through these guys. They don’t deserve to be on the roads.
