We were driving by and saw the sign at Village on the Creeks in Rogers and since we were all hungry for breakfast we stopped in after checking Unilocal first. The atmosphere inside is really quaint and nicely decorated. We were seated immediately and commented on how the restaurant had a great feel. I ordered the Belgium waffle with eggs and sausage combo and it was awesome. They have specials and our son from California had the special which included fresh avocado. His plate was clean when we left. Everybody at our table all commented how great the food was and it was our new local favorite place for breakfast. Even the house coffee was excellent and we polished off the entire pot they gave us. They also have a nice lunch menu and look forward to trying that when we can. They give seniors 60 or over a discount so come on in and bring your appetite. You will not be disappointed!

Small diner style restaurant very intimate. I enjoyed a hot green tea with lemon. Although everything on the menu looks amazing. I went for an egg white omelet that I customized. I was allowed to switch out the bread for extra fruit. The downside was it came out not as all egg whites but when it was corrected it was excellent. Two others at my table had the pancakes and did not finish the one not just because it was so large but they complained it was very dry. I took a delicious Greek salad to go for lunch and it is heavenly!

Stopped in for a late morning breakfast(brunch?) with our ‘local’ family members who have been here a few times. In their past experience, the wait staff is not always super attentive. It seems like a very popular place and I can only imagine after a weekend rush, the staff would be worn out! Wait to be seated by the hostess in a booth or at a table. The interior is sunny with a nice color pallet and the tables are well spaced. The booth seating is bent wooden benches with lots of space between the booth and table so you don’t feel ‘squeeze in’. The menu has some very nice, creative dishes and ‘make your own’ omelets. We started with juice, tea and waters. A staff member came over with a box of teas and I selected the one I wanted. The waitress came with our juice, a carafe of hot water and tea cup and glasses of water. With the restaurant about 1⁄3 full, our food took a reasonable amount of time to arrive. My english muffin was no longer warm. I am guessing it was prepared prior to the other items being completed; but the butter was melted and with jam, it was ok. The blueberry pancake is so very good with real blueberries and served with a blueberry compote. Everyone enjoyed their choices and ate til stuffed. The portions were substantial. The waitress came over with a carafe of water to leave on the table for us to refill our glasses as needed and checked in once to see if we needed anything. Dishes were cleared as people finished and the check left to be paid at the register by the door. The prices are reasonable, the food was good. I would definitely return.

Came here while in the area on business and stopped in for a hopefully quick breakfast. The service was sub-par — although the servers were friendly they weren’t attentive and didn’t bring our order out correctly. They didn’t take allergies seriously and the first order had to be sent back. The food is also overpriced and nothing special. Considering the area I’m sure there are a lot of vendors stopping in and there aren’t that many other options for breakfast in the area — but, they could at least step up their menu with some more allergy-friendly options. I wouldn’t come here again based on my first experience.

Very classy place. Asked about soup of the day and they sent out a sample. It was on a doily. On a doily! And delicious too. My whole party was thoroughly satisfied. Water plentiful.(They leave you a carafe.) Great service. Good prices. Will definitely come back.

The egg and I is a wonderful place to come too. The staff is welcoming and accommodating. We made reservations for 12 and they had our table ready to as soon as we arrived which was great! Our server was nice, the food was delicious and the manager was sweet. The Texas skillet is delicious, I added a side of gravy and that was yummy! When we come back and we will be back i think I’m going to try the biscuits and gravy! Unless that apple cinnamon pancake keeps calling my name. Great place !

Will not be returning. I can overlook the little things(atmosphere/service) but what really matters when one goes out for a meal is the food. The food was not good. Our party of four arrived at The Egg and I around 11am on a Friday. There were 2 small groups waiting to be seated. The hostess/cashier/waiting area is far too small. Immediately a member of our party complained(to our group) about the smell. After standing awkwardly for a short time, we were led to our table by an employee who showed little, if any, enthusiasm. The individual seating us commented about the condition of our booth saying that the patrons who proceeded us must have made a huge mess at which point I noticed an abundance of crumbs both on the table and in the cracks of the bench/seat. It wasn’t until later that I noticed the toothpick and spoon lying on the floor under our feet. The odor, which I hadn’t noticed earlier, was now evident. It was most likely from a dirty rag used to wipe down the tables. Our sever promptly took our drink order, returned with our drinks and took our order. We ordered the Veggie Benedict, Denver Omelet, Belgian Waffle Eggspress, and a Belgian Waffle w/bacon and grits and a side of Biscuits and Gravy. After waiting for an exceptionally long time, our order arrived. The Veggie Benedict — great idea, poor execution; unfortunately the eggs were well done on the bottom and runny on top, oh, and there was a hair on top. Yuck. The Denver Omelet — overcooked, little filling, cheese on top rather than inside the omelet. Belgian Waffle Eggspress — the waffle was average but the 2 eggs that were ordered«over medium» were very runny and could not be consumed due to the presence of bits of eggshell. The sausage was off. The bacon was under cooked. The grits were okay. The bits of sausage ruined the gravy on the biscuits which were tender on top but tough on the bottom. The ranch potatoes which came with a few of the entrees seemed good at first, but were over salted and left an odd taste/film in the mouth of those of us who ate them. I’m sorely disappointed as I was looking forward to eating here and the menu is very appealing. I would not recommend eating here.

The food is really good, there’s no question of that. The staff, based on my experience, is friendly and attentive. They should’ve made the waiting are a little bigger, but that should only cement that it’s good. This is my go-to restaurant for eggs Benedict.

Stopped in after the lunch rush and opted to not have anything with eggs. Odd choice, I know but for some reason, the ½ sandwich and soup caught my eye. In addition to choosing two from a list of sandwich and salads and soup, you can opt for a larger sandwich with a cup of soup or a smaller sandwich with a bowl of soup. I had that. Large bowl of chicken white chili which was quite tasty and very solid, though it needed a bit of hot sauce to bring out the flavor. I had the half turkey Reuben which was very nice. Service was okay. After my food was delivered, my waiter got completely tied up talking to another customer for a good fifteen minutes. Fortunately, he’d already dropped off my check but a refill of water would have been nice. On the plus side, it was served with a small carafe but I drank all of that too.

This is a great stop for breakfast. They are well staffed, so service is generally fast, thorough, and friendly; they have a pretty big menu that even includes some delicious healthy items in addition to all of the breakfast classics; the food is super fresh and super good — I’ve eaten probably 10 different menu items over the past year and a half, and only one of them –the breakfast burrito — would I rate as only«good», everything else is great. My husband is a big fan of eggs Benedict and they have several variations which keeps him happy. My kids love it too. They don’t take reservations but you can call ahead to put your name on the list when you’re on your way, this is helpful on weekends when it gets really busy. They do also have a lunch section of their menu with sandwiches & stuff but I’ve never tried any of those as we are usually there pretty early.

This place is a HOMERUN every single time! Absolutely the best breakfast place in NW Arkansas. Food is terrific — and the service is outstanding. Brad, the owner, makes a point to know every customer and visit with all of the regular ones. It just doesn’t get any better than this!

When we arrived, there were a lot of people waiting for tables. We were told the wait was 10 minutes but it was actually shorter. Unfortunately, the waiting area was small so people waiting on tables were pouring into the dining area. It was raining so waiting outside was not an option. However, there was a patio area that adjoined the restaurant next door, and after the rain let up, people were going over there to wait. The dining area is simple and designed for efficiency. The tables have collapsible leaves so accommodating large groups was easily done. There is also a meeting room that was being used for regular dining. While the restaurant was crowded, the acoustical tiles significantly reduced the noise level. The staff is color coordinated. The menu is color coordinated, showing the breakfast items in one color and the lunch items in another color. There is a kids’ menu, a seniors’ menu, a meeting room that offered a separate menu, and take-out. There are«Smarter Choice» options. I did not see any gluten-free options. There were food runners which helped expedite getting food to the diners. Our server, Catlin, arrived immediately after we were seated. We ordered two different types of coffee and we got a carafe for each of them. The carafes were not full. In fact, there was only about a cup and a half in each. I was prepared for this as I had read about this practice in other reviews. The server confirmed that it was a way to eliminate waste. We did get refills quickly. I ordered the daily coffee special, vanilla nut coffee. My boyfriend got the regular coffee. Both were very strong. We let Catlin know that we drink a lot of water so she brought a carafe of water. All of our requests were taken care of quickly. She was very attentive and friendly. I ordered the Cinnamon Apple and Granola Wheat Pancake that came with 2 eggs and 2 slices of bacon. It also had a delicious cinnamon butter. It is one large pancake that overflowed on the plate. Actually, the plate was a concern as I couldn’t cut the pancake without it tipping over. A circle pancake does not fit on a square, bowl-like plate. My boyfriend had to hold the plate while I cut the pancake. Talking to the owner, we found out this was a corporate decision. The pancake was unique and tasty, and the eggs were cooked to order, something I have found very rare to find. My boyfriend ordered the Texas Skillet with a substitution of fresh fruit for the English muffin. It is steak strips, red and green peppers, onions, and portabella mushrooms on a bed of ranch potatoes with melted Jack and Cheddar cheeses and two eggs any style. He said it was delicious and ate every bit of it. I looked around the restaurant and saw a number of items that looked really good for future visits. These included the blueberry wheat pancakes, the breakfast burrito, the Santa Fe Huevos, and the Cheddar cheeseburger. The restrooms were located back toward the kitchen. They were clean. However, the women’s restroom only had 2 stalls so women were crowding into the small room waiting. The owner/manager, Brad Dortch, was very active, talking to guests and running food. He was even in the kitchen cooking as one of his cooks called in sick. He is very focused on customer service. He is not into social media so we asked Catlin if he could come to our table and talk to us. Most managers want to know ways to make their restaurants better. Even though he was really busy, he took the time to talk with us. We recommended he check into the reviews on line and get more involved with social media. We had a very enjoyable conversation. He was very interested in ways he could find out what his customers think about his restaurants. This is a franchise restaurant and he owns this one in Rogers and another in Fayetteville. We had driven by The Egg & I many times and kept saying how we needed to visit since finding a clean and tasty breakfast restaurant has actually been difficult to find in the area. We were very happy with our service and food. It was extremely clean and was obviously focused on customer satisfaction.

I had a great experience here. The place was packed(about 9:30AM) but once seated the service was prompt and the food arrived shortly after ordered. I had the Denver omelette which was hot and fresh. Pricing was good for breakfast. I’ll be back!

Watch out Bob Evans, you have some competition when it comes to breakfast! My significant other has been to this place many times and had always raved about how great it was. One morning I decided to have us go there so I could see what all the fuss was about. I am normally not a breakfast type of person, but I will admit that this was spectacular and well worth the experience. Their Santa Fe Huevos were pretty darn good and reminded me of what I used to have growing up. I can safely say that I would go here again for breakfast.

This restaurant(or at least one of it’s patrons) restored my faith in humanity… Went here on Saturday morning after being awoken by my wife telling me my father had just passed away earlier that morning. Still in shock, I made my way to this restaurant and while waiting to be seated was on the phone with a friend telling him the news I had just learned. There were people also waiting but no one said anything and I proceeded to take my seat when called. I ordered the Cambridge Skillet and substituted the hollandaise sauce for the green chili pork sauce from another menu item. The food was very good although my mind was a million miles away. I asked for my check and the waitress replied«someone asked that they take care of your check». Someone had obviously overheard my story and sadness and put a little sunshine back in my life… I will be forever grateful for this random act of kindness and hope you get repaid a million times for your decency. Perhaps someone reading this will either recognize this person or maybe the person themselves is reading this — thank you for your humanity. Again, the food was wonderful. The flavored coffee was great. Service was very good too. The only drawback was the number of guests waiting for tables… but that is to be expected when the food is this good. If you have ever been to the Good Egg in Tucson, AZ this restaurant is right up there in terms of quality and overall nummniess. Just be sure to go early on the weekend or be prepared to wait.

Came here for breakfast this morning and it was my first time here. Wait: Being a Saturday morning around 1030am, a breakfast is most likely going to be crowded. It was fairly crowded, but we were able to get a table rarely quickly. There is plenty of space and tables in here to keep it moving. Customer Service: The hostesses and cashier were nice(you pay at the front cashier counter). Our waiter was really friendly and helpful. Food: Our food was yummy! Here is what we ordered: *Veggie Benedict — my dish and it was soooo yummy. I’ve been craving eggs benedict and they have a few different options. I was excited to see a vegetarian option. *Kiki’s Scrambled Egg — kids menu: eggs, toast, sausage or bacon, potatoes — All kids menu items are under $ 5 and you get a lot for it. *I don’t remember what my husband ordered and he doesn’t remember the name either haha, but I posted the picture. It had eggs, potatoes, english muffin, etc. He said it was delicious. I will be coming back here.
