I was going to go with 3-stars BUT the chocolate malt won me over. The hamburger was good, the french fries were good — both needed a little salt. I don’t like a ton of salt, but a little for flavor is needed. I had the fried okra with my burger because I love fried okra… love it — and it was GREAT. So, on to the malt. It. Was. DELICIOUS. Remember back, I don’t know, about 30 or so years ago when you were a kid(OK, so I was a kid) and your mom made you the best milkshake ever… it’s baaaaaack. I had the chocolate malt. I kept it simple because when trying things the first time I like to find out if they can do the simple stuff well and they hit it out of the park with the malt. So good. Honestly, I might not ever get another burger — burgers aren’t my favorite food, but I would go back for the malt… and the okra!

There is nothing like Susie Q to hit the spot after time on Beaver Lake. It is old fashioned good malts and burgers along with curly fries. It is a must stop in the summer.

Excellent and fun! Stopped in randomly to treat kids to an ice cream cone. I can only imagine families stopping in after or before a day on the lake. Really haven’t tried any of the food options but it’s nostalgic. Pulling in or out is tough.

Found this place last year when we were on our way to the Daisy air rifle museum. The boys said if we didn’t stop on our way through Arkansas this time that they weren’t coming. Some of the sandwiches have funny names but there are also hamburgers and cheese burgers and hotdogs for the less adventurous. The real reason for going here is the malts. They have a terrific selection of flavors with butterscotch and cherry being some of my favorites. I also hear berry malts are da bomb. We are planning our summer trip next year to include a stop by this malt shop.

This was our favorite place to go during our family vacation to Beaver Lake – so glad we discovered it! This is a no frills type of place but the food is delicious and the employees were very friendly. We especially enjoyed the shakes, malts, sundaes after a hot afternoon of swimming or hiking. Just know that if you see a few cars there when you pull up you might have to wait for 15 minutes or so – they make everything fresh so it takes a bit more time than your average drive thru.

Family raved about this place as we left to go camping thus on the way home, I made sure we stopped to give it a try. The burgers are ok. Nothing fantastic but cooked to order, so nice and fresh. Patties are a little thin. Great sides as they have curly fries, tots, o-rings, and a few others which are all good. The malts and shake here the reason to stop. Very high quality. Expect long lines and a wait but it is worth a visit.

Normally I would give this place about 4 stars, but when they make my wife cry because they shut the window in her face after the second time of messing up and while in the process blaming her for the mistake will no longer see my business. We only come a couple of times a year because of family reunion, but we will be start a new tradition. I will forever miss the original owners because they would have never let that happen. It’s now just like another fast food place, all about the numbers. Other than that the food is still good. A double cheeseburger, curly fries, and a chocolate malt. Yum!

For those that are too impatient to wait of fresh cooked food, I suggest grabbing a microwave burger at some other place. The rest of us will wait that extra few minutes for burgers, creative sandwiches, hot dogs, fries, onion rings, malts and other stuff lovingly prepared fresh by a very nice staff. The building is really not a thing of beauty but I don’t go for the ambiance. The attraction is the food and the prices. An example is the«Big Pig». A huge breaded pork tenderloin sandwich for five bucks. Pay no mind to nit pickers and judge for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

Got to love the old Susie Q. Its a staple of Rogers and has been around over 50 years. There is something fun about ordering at the screen window and getting your number that is called when your order is ready. There is only one or two picnic tables so you might end up just eating in your car. I always go with a cheeseburger basket. Love a greasy big burger and curly fries. Top it off with a shake or malt. Good times. Is it the best? No but it sure is pretty good for what it is. Its a poplar place for lake goers as its right on the way out to Beaver Lake. Its always packed on the weekends. This used to be all we had long before the fast food chains moved in. Gosh, don’t you remember when you had to drive to Fayetteville to eat out? I’m all for supporting this local drive in.

51 years of the most perfect Cherry Limeaide’s of all times. Corn dogs were ok, curly fries we good(if a little lacking on salt) but the Cherry Limeaide was perfection itself.

Susie Q has been serving NWA for over 50 years now and still running strong. «Q» serves up some of the best burgers, shakes, malts, limeades, and many other American favorites from their powder blue, neon accented, and rustic rust covered building just off the square in downtown Rogers. One of the few drive in restaurants remaining the«Q» is a favorite of many heading to Beaver Lake for some weekend fun. While the«Q» is a popular weekend destination when heading to the lake there is no reason not to make it your weekday destination for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Today we made our way to the«Q» for lunch for a rendezvous with«Mom’s Special» a quarter pound burger topped with a quarter pound of sliced ham, cheese, and all the fixin’s! My first«Mom’s Special» but definitely not my last. Other favorites include the«Big Daddy» with 2 quarter pound patties, a quarter pound of sliced ham, 3 slices of American cheese, bacon, and all of the fixin’s(no ketchup, thank you very much), also the Cock-a-Doodle Piggy with a breaded chicken breast, quarter pound of ham, 2 slices of American cheese, topped with ranch dressing(Ouch! add insult to injury), and all the fixin’s, and the Big Pig with a hand breaded pork tenderloin topped with all the fixin’s. So I am assuming that a cardiologist is the primary investor at the«Q»? Hey, all in moderation ok so let’s not grab the defibrillation paddles just yet! The only thing missing from the«Q» to qualify from the burger elite would have to be the lack of hand cut fries! Gem’s(frozen tot’s), Crinkles(frozen), and Curly’s(frozen) are fine for your everyday run of the mill burger joints but a drive in with this pedigree should be serving fresh cut Idaho spuds! That said, this is a great place to get your burger fix and to reflect on days gone by where your order is prepared fresh and served by people who actually care about the quality of the product being served. Make your way to Susie Q for a great experience, better food, and a taste of days gone by.

Great little throw back drive-in. The food looked to be standard fare of burgers and dogs. Opened in 1960 but no longer in the family that started it. I came for a malt. The size and price and quality are equal to the local Sonic. They pump in the xm 60’s station to try to manufacture the feel of a old time drive in but the reality it is just a normal fried food dive. You can feel good about supporting the local non-franchise economy by visiting here but don’t expect anything too special.
