I was craving a burger yesterday, and this place is less than 5 minutes away from our house, so we decided to try it. Ordered for pick-up. The lady who took my order had poor customer service and came off rude and pushy. –1 star. When my husband picked up our food, she was charging him for combos when we didn’t want any drinks. I hate it when restaurants try and do that and hope you don’t notice. When my husband brought home the food, it didn’t look appetizing nor did it taste good. The burger was not juicy nor fresh. The curly fries were ok, but the onion rings were too crunchy for my liking. You couldn’t even taste the onion. It practically disappeared in the batter. Everything was super greasy too. The paper bags our food came in was so oily… — 3 stars. Super disappointing, especially seeing this place has 4 stars. Won’t be coming back. That’s what I get for being lazy and not wanting to drive 10 min more to get in-n-out.

My Cheese burger was amazing. My wife had the Chili burger and could not finish it all due to the portion. A perfect place with a big appetite and the staff is also very professional and respectful. I’m definitely coming back when passing thru the bay.

Great greasy spoon diner. They serve breakfast all day and they have RC Cola! My son had a double cheeseburger and said it was delicious. I had breakfast with biscuits and gravy with hash browns, it was above average.

If you want bang for you buck then this is the place. The burger was pretty good, nothing spectacular but it wasn’t bad. Service is awesome, a good place to take the kids because of the price. I will go back

This is a simple one. You live in the Rodeo/Hercules/Pinole/Crockett area and you want a good burger and fries, yeah maybe a shake too. YOUSHOULDN’T SETTLEFORFASTFOOD. D’s is a family owned and family friendly joint. Go there! If you are on the way home from work just call ahead. You’ll be glad you did.

We had a delightful meal here. The wait staff was friendly & efficient. We ordered sandwiches, a grilled pastrami on rye, and BBQ beef. Both were great, served with perfect French fries and pickles. Extra points for serving RC cola. My only criticism is that for the milkshakes, they should give the customer both the milkshake in a glass, and the metal mixing cup as well, for the price they charge.($ 4.25). I observed the wait person putting the rest in the metal mixing cup and into the reach-in to use for the next customer.

I just started going here about three weeks ago. I got the double cheese burger, fries and strawberry milkshake I was super impressed. The food reminded me of how good food tasted in the 1960’s GOOD! My wife ordered the chicken fried steak mashed potatoes and salad and garlic bread and she loved it. We’ve been back three more times since and were equally as impressed.

This little hometown place is so quaint. We popped in for a turkey burger, fries and RC Cola. They don’t have Coke, just the old fashioned RC Cola. Your order is made fresh. The turkey burger was seasoned just right and their buns are not too thick. The fries are super hot, thick and slighty crunchy. The game is on if you want to catch up on a score. The folks are friendly. You can sit in a booth or at a table. All the locals have come to D’s for years. They have ice cream next door if you want it. I like this place and will pop in when I’m in the area.

Not the best. I got the fish filet sandwich because I wasn’t in the mood for a burger. The tartar sauce was good, however, the fish fillet was not fresh. It was frozen. Fries were alright I suppose. Water was delicious!

Check your food before you leave… Just ate here for the first time after hearing people talk about it for a long time. It was talked up a little bit too much in my opinion. The restaurant isn’t in the best neighborhood. Don’t be surprised if you see a tweaker walking down the street talking to themself lol. The inside of the place looks old. I came in right at noon and there was still plenty of tables open. The service was ok. The first lady I talked to who gave me a menu wasn’t very polite, but the one that actually took my order and brought out the the food was friendly. I ordered to go so I could get back to work. Ordered a hamburger, fries and a chocolate shake. When I ordered my hamburger she asked me «no cheese?» And I said«no just a hamburger». Still came with cheese which I didn’t realize until I got back to work. Damnnnn it lol. The fries and shake were delicious though. Cost about $ 11.50 for the meal.

Rodeo will never be a dining designation, or designation for much of anything. However, I will come again for a burger, or perhaps some other diner type food. D’s is a small town business with a nice 1950s diner feel. They even serve RC Cola. I think they have been in business for more than 25 years I ordered a bacon cheese burger. I watch the burger as it sizzled on the grill along with the bacon and bun that was going to top it off. As an afterthought, I added a ½ order of onion rings I prefer my burgers cooked more on the rare side that this one was. However, I did not think to ask for it that way. I suspect that they will cook them to order. The bacon was cooked perfectly; it was crispy but not over cooked. I am not sure where they got the tomatoes. The slice tasted garden fresh. The onion rings were frozen, and they were deep fried until they were hard.
