The Ark Too

Have you been to The Ark Too? If not– what is wrong with you??? They are constantly adding things that make me feel like I should set up an automatic draft from my credit union or something. EVERY time I go in the ladies who own the shop have added at least a dozen things that I have to talk myself out of buying. I have to go in strong– I have my list, I try to stick to it (or very close to it) and make note of what I need to find a reason to need and add to a list ASAP! They’ve got amazing stuff. I can’t get over how much amazing stuff they have in the shop.
I feel like a kid in there– I find myself touching the awesome fabrics and paper and other items that all seem to have the most amazing textures! Just as they’ve done a fabulous job pairing an assortment of textures they’ve done the same with combining locally made items with beautiful pieces from around the world. And every bit of it belongs– nothing feels like a stretch being in the same store. Reflected amongst it all are the personalities of the women who’ve invested so much in The Ark Too. You can truly feel it.
In addition to being a totally rad shop they’ve created a gallery of amazing (I believe) local art and a place for partnering community members to hold workshops– be it a series, a one time, or even a periodically reoccurring event. I really love this place– it’s a really great, positive addition to the area.
