Would have been 5 stars if they weren’t the most unfriendly people on the phone I’ve ever dealt with. Unfriendly, very short with me, didn’t give me a total, or thank me… but they’re pizza is great. It reminds me of Pauls pizza in Vernon, Ct. Where I actually just moved from so it was a pleasant surprise to get pizza equally as good. They are very generous with the toppings. I got a large Hawaiian pizza and it was well covered. Alittle on the pricey side. I got a large pizza and a small side salad and it came to 31 dollars.

since my last review I’m happy to say the eggplant is delicious. Esp if you order the dinner. I just finished the leftovers and it tastes just as good the next day! Great deal too. Comes with salad, pasta and bread!

Went here because of the good reviews. Wow was I disappointed. It was party style chunky cheese pizza. Tasteless cardboard for $ 18. I love pizza and I threw it out after 3 pizza style slices. Should of just got freezer pizza. Never again. 0 stars. I put the pizza on the floor and the dog wouldn’t even eat it.

How can you beat a big plate of spaghetti a fresh salad, a loaf of garlic bread and a huge 2 piece plate of chicken parm with a lb of cheese over it for 11.50. Ummmmm West side pizza!!! I’ll be back! Staff is super friendly!

Pizza is really good! We like their salads too, generous portions on the salads but pizzas run a little small in comparison to their competitors. The only complaint I have is that it seems like they are never open! They go on vacation a lot and close earlier than many places. Its become a joke in our house to see if its actually open!

The staff here, especially the young girl running the counter is awesome at her job. The entire place was mobbed on a friday night with a line for take out and she did a great job handling everyone. The pizza is fabulous and I would wait an hour for it.

They give you a LOT of toppings compared to other pizza places. I love veggie pizza and I always have a hard time finding a pizza that’s fully covered in them. This place definitely does that and more. Their pizzas with meat are the same.

Very good pizza, service for call-in orders is not very good. Not sure why I was placed on hold for 10 minutes, then walk in to see many employees standing around chit chatting. It appears management values employee chit chat over good service. Too bad — very good pizza but my time is very very valuable.

I love pizza and this is the best Greek style pizza I’ve had since my weekly visits to Newington Pizza as a kid. I always get it the same way – sausage, roasted peppers, and mushrooms, and it’s always just the way I dream it will be – great crust, crispy, but not overdone, just enough sauce, perfectly done mozzarella, delightful roasted peppers, and outrageous freshly made sausage. My first visit there, they gave me onions instead of peppers. When I got home, I called to let them know. They profusely apologized and said the next Pizza was on them. This, even though I told them my wife loved it. Sure enough, my next one was free, even though I confessed that my wife finished the other. When I see other reviewers say the customer service is bad, I just smile because I have never been treated any better at a restaurant. And, by the way, I go to a Greek Pizza restaurant for one thing – the Greek style pizza. Anyhow, I’ll be back there soon, for my favorite.

The best Greek style pizza around. The pies are well made and always tasty. The crust is on the crunchy side, which I like. They also make great baked pasta dishes as well. Give it a go, you’ll be happy you did.

I’m not a huge pizza lover, but I LOVE West Side’s Pizza. It is fresh, juicy, with a fantastic crust. Although it is round, they cut it in a square fashion. We have gotten take out as well as delivery. We have never eaten inside. It is not the cosiest place, but the woman behind the counter is a delight! YUM-O!

Greek style, may be considered on the greasy side for some but the ingredients are fresh and the crust is excellent. My go-to pizza place in the rocky hill, Cromwell area.

This place was a horrible experience. Their sign says they close at 10, and I showed up there at 8:30 with a hungry toddler and my mother and right away the lady starts telling us she can only cool us pizza. Which at the time was fine cause we are looking for pizza. We picked a table and it was sticky, so we asked the lady if she could please wipe it again(or give us a towel for us to clean it ourselves) and she argues with us that she just cleaned it and ultimately refused to clean the table! I work in the restaurant industry and that is just bad business! Then she made us feel unwelcome and said if we wanted to leave to just leave! Can you believe that this lady would rather lose customers rather than wipe down a table??? They must be making money another way rather than selling food! I can’t review the taste of their dishes because they were not hospitable or polite especially to new customers!

West Side Pizza turned out to be quite the hidden gem in Rocky Hill. Located in a nondescript strip mall next to a Thai restaurant, I had passed by this place every day for years but never stopped in. But working in town and lately hearing raves about this place from many of my clients, I decided to finally give it a try. I figured it would probably be worth it to see how it stacked up to many other Greek-style pizza places that I am familiar with from growing up in New Britain. I wish I’d come here sooner. There’s a reason they have won many local weekly newspaper awards as the best pizza in town. They are family owned with pride and make an excellent sausage pizza and meatball grinder. It can hang with any pizza place in the area. The pizza came loaded with sausage and tasted just a little different than most. That led me to ask if they made their own. The answer was no but the next best thing: they apparently get it from La Rosa’s Market in Hartford. Big win there. The grinder was loaded with meat, peppers and cheese and well toasted in the oven. I was back twice within a week. Needless to say, West Side is now my go to pizza place for lunch needs during work hours. And if in the area, I’ll probably stop in on weekends too. Just outstanding.

Great go-to local pizza joint. Family owned and operated, friendly and effecient. Turn out good pizza, our favorite is just plain cheese as it is a bit salty and greasy. Perfect Sunday lunch food after a late night Saturday!

I moved long ago from this area but my wife and I were once regular customers here. While on vacation in Connecticut recently we stopped back here, eager to revisit. We were amazed at how everything was just as good and delicious as it had been well over a decade ago! The same family runs this place and I am impressed by the genuine connection they have with their customers and their community; it’s like being part of an extended family. It is extremely rare these days to see business owners and customers greet each other like family, walking through the door is like coming home. This is THE place for friendly, casual family dining. The food is the best; the Greek pizza is to die for. The Meatball Grinder is, in my opinion, THEBEST in Connecticut. If I could choose just one place to get a Grinder from, it would be West Side Pizza. Their salads are very good and the prices are very reasonable, you get a lot of value for your dollar here. I truly miss this place !!

Yum! This is a great family-run pizza place with a friendly atmosphere. Thick crusts and they’re not stingy on the toppings either. Love finding these little local homestyle places – I need a place I can go in my sweats now and then and still feel right at home :)

The pizza here is amazing! I’ve been here often years ago, but I haven’t been back in about five years. The pizza is as good now as it was then. The grinders are decent. They’re not great, but they’re decent. The pizza, however, some of the best around. I would suggest sausage and mushrooms. I don’t like mushrooms, but here, they’re great. The sausage is real… it isn’t like that prepackaged crap that seems to be all the rage now. Come on down if you’re looking for a good Greek-style pizza.

Ehhh, not for me. I did not see ahead of time that this place was Greek in nature(which i love, and i’m sure their Greek dishes are probably wonderful). Someone had steered me towards here by saying that they had a great meatball sub. Ehhh, not so much. I have had much better. Not much cheese, meatballs were more like hamburgers, like a hamburger grinder with a lil sauce on it. Weird. Hubby did not realize it was Greek place… and neither of us are a fan of ‘greek’ style pizza. One bite was enuf for me. Luckily we just got a small cheese to try it(always looking for the perfect ‘za!). I would try the place again to try a Gyro, or Souvlaki or Spanikopita. I love Greek places, just not ones that try to pass as Italian(with 95% of their menu being Italian in nature!)
