Hyacinth Nails & Spa

I went there for the first time this weekend and had a horrible experience. I walked in and asked how long the wait would be for removal of acrylic nails and a mani and I was told they could take me right away. I was seated right away and then the manicurist cut just my thumbnail. A few young girls came in asking for eyebrow waxes so she got up without letting me know what was going on, waxed eyebrows for the 4 girls and then was gone in the back over 15 minutes after that. At that point I was frustrated by the service and lack of communication, so I started walking towards the door to leave. The manicurist came out from the back and was laughing at me! Then she had the nerve to ask why I would be leaving. I didn’t even know what to say. I just left and went down the street to Bella Nail Salon and they were fantastic. I would never go to Hyacinth again after that experience.

I just got home from Hyacinth’s new location at 493 Westchester Rd. in Colchester and had a great experience! Joanne did a great job on my fill, and everyone was very nice and friendly. With service this good, they will do very well in this location. This is my new nail place!

Just came back from a pedicure and ½ hour foot massage only $ 50, I feel so good! just love this place, they do a wonderful job and everyone is so friendly and they make you feel so comfortable. My feet are so soft and look great. I have been coming here for years and never had a bad experience.

Spring did a beautiful job on my nails. I had a pedicure and shellac manicure and was back to work in an hour

I stopped in to Hyacinth one morning with my 2 ½ year daughter to get a pedicure and have her nails painted. She wound up being too shy and scared to have anyone paint her nails, but the staff couldn’t have been nicer! It was not busy, but they did chat with her as she sat in a pedi chair watching a movie on the iPad.
My pedicure was fantastic; they did a great job. The massage chairs were comfortable, and the massages during the pedicure and during drying were very good. The staff was so friendly and the place was clean. I plan on returning either solo or with my older daughter in the very near future.

Very nice on the inside, very friendly staff; many different options for manicure, pedicure and waxing. Tv on the wall; chairs have massage options while sitting during pedicure; very clean environment.

Not sure what all of the hype is. The place seems dirty and unkept. Polish selection is really good, but that’s the only compliment I can give. Elle Nails in Middletown blows this place out of the water.

Hyacinth Nails & Spa is my favorite local stop for manicures, pedicures and waxing — I have been coming here for a couple of years and am officially a «regular» with a box filled with my «beautifying tools».
The employees are always warm and friendly when I arrive and salon (which sustained some fire damage earlier this year) has been completely renovated to make it even more relaxing and airy.
I never have a problem getting an appointment and have never been turned away during the several times I have decided to «walk in» with my husband to get a quick eyebrow wax or polish.
They are a full service nail salon (gel, acrylic, she-​lac) as well as offer massage and waxing services. Hyacinth also offers a frequent customer card where after ten manicures — the eleventh one is free! Definitely good for someone who is watching their pennies but still wants to look good.
Their leather pedicure chairs are very comfortable with massage features that give me that «Calgon take me away» feeling that we all sometimes need. I especially love their spa pedicure which includes a callous remover. I had many a dream about this service during my marathon training cycle this past fall and it was well worth the wait when I had it a couple of weeks ago!
As was said by another reviewer the salon can get crowded but the employees are fast and efficient — I never feel like I am being rushed. It goes to show the quality of the services provided though as I have seen more then one person wait patiently for their chance to be pampered

Excellent! The massages (during pedi, mani and while drying) alone are worth it. Perfect mani pedi. Comfy chairs. Good pricing. Jung is the best. This is my new go-​to!

I have been going here for a couple years and I always get a great pedicure. Staff is very friendly and accommodate walk-​ins quickly.

Clean, friendly and reasonably priced. Hyacinth was super busy when I visited, and there as a wait, but it was a holiday weekend. Even so, the wait wasn’t long and my toes looked great. Based on what I observed, there seemed to be a number of regulars circulating in and out, all of whom were greeted warmly.
Gentlemen take notice! I was pleasantly surprised to be seated next to two gentleman who were also getting pedicures. Even dudes deserve pretty feet.
