Was in there for a get together close to my house… live music, outstanding atmosphere, service, food, and fun! This place has that neighborhood feel and is the perfect place to have a few cocktails and unwind. I was in there with a few friends. We had all you can eat catfish, fall off the bone ribs, and that night there was a steak special… Delish! We loved everything. I sure am glad my friends agreed to share food and let me try a little bit of everything. SOOOO good! I have been back for a chopped brisket sandwich at lunch and it didn’t disappoint either. I was reluctant at first to go because of the other reviews but it sounds like the place is under new management and definitely a place to check out… that BBQ sauce should be bottled! WOW! The

AMAZINGBBQ!!! Cozy atmosphere. Great service. I had a party at my house and they showed up promptly at my requested time. Everyone loved the food and I was asked for any leftovers and the phone number from my friends for their next party. It is not just me but ALL of my guest raved about the food and service. This is truly the diamond in the rough that you must try. Dine in, out or cater you will love it!!!

Well I deciding to check this place out for something new for the family. Went in for BBQ stuffed potatoes Out of potatoes! what? OK so it’s all you can eat catfish night so I gave them the benefit of a doubt. I shouldn’t have! BBQ is dry, sauce is nasty with a strong vinegar taste. Sides came in a large cup I think they are supposed to be quart sizes. Oh also out of Texas toast! wth? For the amount of food the price is ridiculous! $ 50! The only thing decent is the pecan cobbler dessert. Which is not even made by the restaurant. I noticed a coupon for free fried pickles on the website. I showed it to the guy at the cash register and he said per the owner it has to be printed out. These people are crazy. hello customer service anybody??? Crickets… Never again and spreading the word!

5 for the bbq, it was probably the best I’ve had in a while. They give you a pretty good amount of food for the price, nothing like skimpy Dickey’s. I would recommend this place to anyone that likes good bbq.

I should have known something was wrong when I came in around 12:30 p.m. for lunch & the place was empty. But other Unilocalers gave it 4 stars & there really isn’t anything else in the area so I decided to give it a try. The brisket was dry & the ribs were average at best. And those were the only 2 things they had prepared for the day. The beans were spicier than I prefer & the green beans were decent. Don’t think I’ll be back…

No Customer service. asked simple questions via email. did not address the two very specific questions, nor follow up. Missed out on a very large sale.

The good news? The sauce is good, it’s tangy, seasoned well, nice hit of pepper and goes good on everything. The bad news? The sauce is damn near required to make this stuff taste like BBQ. I will grant that I showed up @ 2PM on a Thurs. That said, I could show up to any of the good BBQ places around DFW and either they would have fresh, excellently smoked meats or they’d be out. They wouldn’t serve me what I just received. I do not know how long the sausage and brisket were in the steamer, but I can tell you it was close to how long they were in a smoker. The sausage skin was so chewy I had to really gnaw at it. No snap to the skin at all. Because it had also not been slow smoked it was greasy. It didn’t taste bad, but it was just prepared poorly and/or sat in the steamer for a millennia. The skin was so soft that the carving knife ripped it. BTW — the guy that obviously owns the joint was working today, nice fellow if a bit rushed as I(as I said) caught him between shifts. I gazed in the steamer and did not believe I saw brisket, so I asked for it. He pulled out a pale, grey meat with a brown top on it. I’d already asked for 5 slices from the point cap on, before I saw what I was going to get. NO smoke ring at all. No char or crust on the outside. The brisket had obviously not been in the smoker long enough as the point had gristle. I am not sure the last time I found gristle or unrendered fat in a good point. The beans looked good, so I went with pinto as they had jalapeño in them. I then scanned for low-carb options and went with an odd looking cole-slaw. The pinto’s were«ok», they lacked seasoning and could’ve used to had some other bits thrown in there, bacon, pulled pork, old sausage bits etc… to liven it up. Pretty light handed on the pepper they were as well. The coleslaw, or slaw or whatever it was… was just… odd. It had some miracle whip(don’t think it was mayo) was chopped to all get out and a heaping of pepper. It also lacked seasoning and especially acid that you would tend to find in coleslaw. As he finished heaping on the sides(generous would be good if they were better), he went straight for the sauce to put on top of the BBQ! This was the last tip, either he’s from a place that sauces BBQ(i.e. not C. Texas or most of other parts of TX) or he is definitely aware that his meat product is sub-par and requires the sauce(it does). I chewed through most of it like a champ and did sate my hunger but I don’t believe I’ll be back. I’d frankly been better off going to the Soulman’s by Costco, I know what I’m getting there is just OK, but it’s a star and a half better, fresher and the sides are better. Best part of the meal was the nice cold(but not quite topped off) pint of Shiner Bock. Sorry folks — just not good BBQ, at least TXBBQ, especially with a 23.50 price tag.

Excellent food and friendly atmosphere. I have eaten here many times in the last two years and the food is always very good. They are great with special requests as well. I especially love going up on Friday nights for the all you can eat catfish dinner and live music. Awesome and very laid back. Make sure to try the jalepeno and fried pickle appetizer!

Great place for a town without that many options. The food here is pretty good. It’s a bit far for my lunch break but it’s worth it to regularly come in. Like a previous reviewer said, a night scene is trying to grow here, with some cool regulars coming by. Food is fairly typical bbq/burgers, but done pretty well. The fried pork chops blew me away last week. Happy hour drink specials are good, easily better than some other places in town. All in all, decent little place, well worth stopping by, with a very friendly owner. Oh, and he’s trying to start karaōke on Saturday, starting August 30.

Great food and people here. Catfish is really good. Friendly bartenders and all around nice place. I eat here regularly and enjoy their burgers and ribs too but the catfish is the best I’ve had.

Do not eat! I got food poisoning from this place! Been sick for a few days. Aside from that the food looked like it had been out for a while very small portions at a pretty large price I got a BBQ sandwich and fries and it was VERY small for 8.99 but I was hungry and so took it to go and ate it. They next day I woke up sicker than a dog couldn’t hold any food or drink down cold sweats dry mouth all of the symptoms of food poisoning. I recommend you stay away from the dump.
