Cottrell Chris J Dr & Katherine

I went to the ER and ended up needing emergency gall bladder surgery. Dr. Cottrell was compassionate and explained everything. I was so sick, I needed 2 days of antibiotics before the surgery. He did an excellent job even though my gall bladder was very enlarged, he still managed to keep it laproscopic which I greatly appreciate.
I also had a very difficult time finding pain meds that didn’t make me sick and had to call his office 2 different times. Each time they quickly consulted with Dr. Cottrell and got me new pain meds finally finding one I could handle.
My post op visit took less than 30 minutes. I had turned in the paperwork, sat down and they called me in and within 5 minutes Dr. Cottrell had my staples out and I was out the door.
Overall, I would recommend him. Great surgeon, great office support.
However, under no circumstances go to Lake Pointe Medical. Terrible, horrible nurses and care.

My 99 year old grandfather had emergency gall bladder surgery with Dr. Cottrell. It was too bad we were unable to choose our own doctor because we would not have chosen Dr. Cottrell.
We had a 2 PM follow-​up appointment a month after the surgery, but had to wait 3 hours to see the good doctor. When he saw us, there was no apology whatsoever. What kind of human being would make a 99 year old man wait for three hours in his uncomfortable waiting room and then not even apologize?
