Speed Queen Laundromat

I have to agree with the negative reviews. This laundromat is dirty and cluttered. On the day I went, at least 2 machines and 1 dryer were out of order. The machine I chose worked adequately – I needed to wash several oversized items – but I would not go there again unless I were desperate. I didn’t interact at all with the proprietor, although he was there.

Walking distance from my home so come here occasionally to do large items. Agree with other reviewers about nasty proprietor. In his defense he is elderly Korean so probably doesn’t understand some questions. «Abrupt» in US might be normal in Korea.
But there is no excuse for condition of shop: filthy, random items piled everywhere, no signs indicating that a machine is broken. And no coin changer either.
I can give him a break on some issues. A coin changer costs money. Maybe he can’t afford it. But he is just standing around most of the day. He could be sweeping floor, wiping down machines, stacking items neatly, etc.
My neighborhood deserves a better laundromat.

The proprietor of this laundromat is without a doubt the rudest, meanest, nastiest store owner I’ve ever encountered. He shouts at customers and tries to belittle people if they ask any questions, yelling at them to read the signs. The place is filthy and there are piles of clothing everywhere. NEVER again will I set foot in this place. It’s disgusting and completely unpleasant, starting with the staff.

If I could give a negative 5, I would rate it that way. This place is the closest laundromat to my house and I needed large washer/​dryer for down comforters. I needed change and I asked the old man/​proprietor for this change. He screamed at me and told me to «STAND THERE» while he retrieved my change. I never knew it was inappropriate to approach someone when he was doing something for a CUSTOMER. When I spoke to another customer at this establishment, she told me that he is «that way» to many customers and that he doesn’t do a good job «keeping the place clean.(that is true). Bottom line, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE». I believe in supporting locally owned businesses, but customer service is also important. This place believes in customer «disservice».

Horrible experience with rude owner! We tried to go to this laundry mat today and it was small, filthy, run down, hot and had a bunch of broken washers. We asked the owner for assistance and apparently interrupted his TV show. He was perturbed with us and told us to read the directions. When we asked him again he said he did not have time for our jokes. We said we would go somewhere else and he said don’t come back here. I said if you’re going to be rude and not help us then we will take our business elsewhere. We went over to The Laundry Bag in the Twinbrook shopping center and it is clean, large, up-​to-​date and bright. We had a much better experience here!

This laundry offers traditional front load & large capacity washers/​dryers. I have visited this laundry since 2009. Always have great service. What I like Best is Dry Cleaning & Drop Off Laundry Service. The Kim’s provide great customer service. Most recently (Aug ’12) queen size comforter dry cleaned-​great. Parking behind store.
