If I could give –5 stars I definitely would. I am not sure where should I start from. My company has been using Shred-It for a while and everything started to go down the hill few months ago. We have scheduled pick up every 2 weeks on Thursday, at least that’s how it was. In the past few months they show up when ever they want. If I call them prior the pick up, to confirm and to remind them they will assured me that I am worried for no reason. Of course, they would not show up so I will have to call again. Next phone call is always unpleasant. People who answer the phone are nice but then their supervisor or managers are the worst to deal with. They do not even communicate to each other so they never know what to tell you. You always have to leave a message and to pray if they will call you back. And when they do call you back, they have attitude and they don’t even try working with you. I have never worked with such non professional customer service. If you or your company is looking for shredding company stay away from Shred– It. They are the worst that you can get.

At the end of the day, they came through, but every step of the way required multiple telephone calls. There were late appointments, and their charges are not transparent. They charge $ 50 for each bin you fill up, but I came to learn late in the process that though I had filled only three bins, they had a minimum charge of $ 250, that is, a charge for five bins. Moreover, and most insulting, they have fine print in their contract to slap on an extra fuel surcharge, so my $ 50-a-bin deal cost me $ 280 for three bins. Caveat emptor.
