I’m a sucker for Neapolitan pizza, as it runs in my family. Visited Pizza CS with a group for an after-sports celebration, and it proved difficult for a large group to maneuver in the restaurant. The pizza was good, however very pricey. We had a cheese pizza with sausage, and it had good flavor and not too wet in the crust. Would suggest this to friends if the price was a bit more reasonable. The name of the joint is a bit strange, location is just as confusing to reach.

Excellent Neapolitan pies. Can sometimes get soggy in the middle if you have too many toppings, so order simple and it’ll be perfect!

This was disappointing. The place is kinda dirty. The décor was cool. But the pizza was meh… There were close to no sauce and cheese on the pizza. And the center was soggy. For the price I would hope for more than 5 piece of basil leaves.

This is hands down the best pizza in the DC area. Completely unpretentiousness and completely delicious. Always a great pie. I’ve been coming since the beginning and they’ve always satisfied. Come by and support a awesome local business making great food. Pizza CS Damnit!!!

I am Italian an this is absolutely the best pizza in the area. Hands down! If only it would be in a better location it would be even more popular.

This place definitely has the goods on brick oven pizza in Rockville. I’m not a big pizza person but I can appreciate tasty pie when it comes my way. We normally just do a chain place for pizza/movie night on Fridays in my house. My husband wanted to try something better than the usual joint so he checked out Unilocal and Pizza CS showed up. I stopped on the way home to pick up a margherita with sausage, a cotto(ham, roasted peppers, basil and artichoke) and a kids gia pizza. The place is tucked away on the side of an otherwise dead-looking strip center in the same parking lot as Fuddruckers. Plenty of parking available and it looks like there is a Pakistani restaurant getting ready to open next door. They don’t cut the pizza unless you are taking it to go, which I was. While I waited for mine to be ready I looked around and the restaurant is kind of industrial inside, they offer beer and wine. The beer on tap was nice with offerings from 7Locks Brewery, DC Brau, a Flying Dog, Peroni and a couple of others. They have a freezer of hand-scooped ice cream for dessert(about 8 flavors). There are some games(foosball etc.) in the back and a small patio space out front. Honestly I’ve had somewhat better brick oven pizza(by the time I got home the center was a bit limp, common since it’s so thin) but the flavor was really great and it may just be due to the travel. The kid ate hers happily, my husband and I each ate some of them both and deemed both delicious. I think this will be the new go to for pizza for us. They have one or two specials that don’t show up in their online menu, they also have a kid’s night(I think it was on Thursdays) where the kiddos get a free scoop of ice cream.

Came here with family a few weeks ago. My friends had been raving about the place, so I figured I’d give it a shot. My family is a larger group, so we had some tables pushed together near the window at the front. This was unfortunate due to the time of day — the sun made it so half the people at the table had to keep their hand up in front of their eyes to be able to see. Aside from some blinds(and no, the pull-down screens they have weren’t cutting it), there isn’t much they could do about it. The servers were nice and the restaurant was pretty cool looking too. The pizza was so-so. We got 3 pies for the table. They were unique, artisan pizzas with a good assortment of styles to choose from, so points for that. The taste was good, but the middle parts of the pizza were just very soggy and the toppings would slide right off. It almost came across as watery. Still, if you don’t mind getting a little messy and using your hands to scoop it all up, really good taste. Just wish it was a little crisper or better held together. The restaurant was very busy, so maybe the pizzas got shorted on time in the oven? I’ll go back and give it another shot. 3 stars isn’t «bad», it’s «A-OK», as Unilocal says. Unfortunately my first visit was just that though: «okay». Fingers crossed for next time.

Pretty Good. I ordered the Soppressata and it had a pretty good amount of meat on it. It came out relatively quick and tastes very good. My only gripe is that the bottom part of the pizza got soggy really quickly. I can only assume that it was because the hot pizza combined with the ceramic plate caused a lot of condensation. Despite the sogginess I can still say that the pizza tasted great! I was tempted to drop the review down to 3 stars because of it, but flavor-wise it’s really not bad.

Stumbled upon this place for lunch. Pleasantly surprised! In same strip mall as fuddruckers and in general a lot of parking. I thought it would be generic pizza but glad I was wrong! We ordered 3 pizzas: 1) Nero(spelling? Salsa verde, lamb, kale, onions) 2) Fico(prosciutto and fig jam) 3) Bruno(white pizza w/sausage and mushrooms) Thin crust pizza with good flavors! If you’re looking to try something different this would be a good place. On pricier side imo for the size though.

This is the BEST pizza place in Montgomery county — period. They are licensed by Associazione Pizzaiuoli Napoletani, they offer the closest thing to the pizza you would eat in Italy. I think the flour is imported — 00 flour. For $ 3 more you can change to buffalo mozzarella on your pizza. I strongly recommend it to everybody — especially to people who want genuine taste of Europe. One thing I like is that they do only pizza and salads but they do it good. Also they offer red and white Italian wines — small but good choice. And be ready to have fun while you wait for your pizza — there is foosball table for free play. The place is kind of hidden — but it is a destination place. It was shown to my by a Sicilian friend, I in turn showed it to several European friends and they are thankful to me. Keep the good work, guys!

Pizza CS offers a true Neapolitan pizza, complete with San Marzano tomatoes and the option for buffalo mozzarella. I walked in to order a pizza for take-out. As I approached the counter to grab a menu, the polite gentleman behind the counter asked if this was my first time, and explained a few basics about the restaurant, Neapolitan pizza, and the menu. I don’t think I have ever received such good customer service while ordering take-out pizza! As far as the pizza goes, the crust is beautifully charred in the oven. It’s not too thick and not too thin. The toppings melt and blister perfectly in the high heat. This is really great pizza. Honestly, the other reviews of this place are on point – Pizza CS lives up to the hype. Definitely check it out!

Hands down the best Neopolitan style pizza in MoCo. My GOODNESS the ingredients are so fresh and flavorful, and the pizzas always come out so gorgeous!!! The employees are super nice and walk you through options and recommendations if it’s your first time here. The perfect lunch spot if you’re running errands on the pike — or casual dinner. I promise this place doesn’t disappoint! Also a plus: Italian AND craft beers on tap.

Super good! Nice staff and fast delivery of the pizza to the table. Pizza was really good with everything fresh and pretty. Cool laid back atmosphere. Good quality draft beer selection. 5 quality beers on tap including one of my favorites Boulevard Tank 7. Maybe a bit pricey, but worth it. We will be back.

I love the wood fired oven, because it gives the pizza a light, crispy crust. It also adds a nice touch to the restaurant. Other than that, the interior design is nothing too exciting. They don’t do half and half pizzas because of the different cooking times of the different ingredients. We got a white pizza with pancetta and Brussel sprouts(I can’t remember the name) and it was pretty good. Parmesan and red pepper flakes are on the counter for self service. The arugula salad with prosciutto and balsamic vinaigrette was a delicious side. A large salad and pizza was just perfect for two! ~ order at the counter upon entering and the food will be brought to your table when ready ~ lots of tables and outside seating ~ credit cards accepted

Pizza CS is my new favorite pizza spot in the DMV. CS should stand for completely scrumptious! The staff are some of the best I’ve ever encountered anywhere. While many places claim to be «Neapolitan» or «Neapolitan Style» have no fear Pizza CS is the real APN certified deal. Awesome crust, fresh ingredients, legit San Marzano tomatoes… need I say more? Love this place. Location: They are in a bit of a hidden location by the Twinbrook metro stop in a weird strip mall of sorts(where Plaza Art used to be) which is why I didn’t discover them sooner! They’re back there somewhere! Food: I typically go with one of their Margherita variations(they offer traditional Margherita pizzas with sausage, mushroom, arugula, or prosciutto) or else the build you’re own. So far my favorite has been Margherita with mushroom. It’s $ 11 and absolutely 100% worth it. Despite my love for all things pizza, I don’t actually eat that much. Two people can easily share a salad(with delicious caesar dressing!) and a pizza. Or get two pizzas and trade slices! They also serve beer and wine although most people seem to get takeout. Hours: The only sort of con are their hours. On weekdays they’re closed from 3pm to 5pm. I’m guessing that’s because they need to properly clean the oven as is often the case with true Neapolitan pizza places. Still, not living in the immediate area, there have been so many times I have wanted to pop by during that two hour window so I can grab an awesome pizza to go while beating rush hour traffic! If I had one wish I’d be for them to change the closed hours to 2:30 — 4:30.

Pizza CS might be hard to find, and tough to see from the main road but the taste of this pizza is out of this world! Welcome to Grimaldi’s pizza in Rockville, MD. If you’ve ever been to Grimaldi’s in Brooklyn, you may recall the old-school Brooklyn confident attitude where they have signs like«cash only» «order fast or get out of the way» etc. Well, Pizza CS carries with it a similar confident attitude that you will only get after you take that first bite. This is incredibly authentic pizza… forget Papa John’s, Domino’s, and Pizza Hut… this is REAL pizza! I know the toppings are tempting, but to be honest the Margherita pizza here is the best — even for a meat eater, you need to give this a chance. Then sure, go for the spicy authentic crumbling sausage and pepperoni like others mention in these reviews. You’re wasting your time if you go to any pizza spot in Rockville that isn’t called Pizza CS.

When I lived in Rockville, MD, there was nothing that reminded me more of home than Pizza CS. My girlfriend and I would eat-in for dates, take out for movie nights, and talk about the next time we’d be eating that delicious Pizza CS. I’ve eaten there countless times and have never had a regrettable or bad experience. ***The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming and always make you smile. It isn’t one of those«hard» pizza places where everyone behind the counter gives you attitude and it isn’t one of those pizza places where the staff ignores you. Pizza CS is a very open-concept styled restaurant in which the staff and customers are«together.» The personal sized, brick oven pizzas are delicious. They’re everything you’d want in a brick oven-styled pizza — some crispy crust but still soft and chewy, light on the sauce so the fixins don’t slide off or bleed through. I’d recommend starting with the caesar salad as well. What makes this salad one of my favorite caesars is the homemade, crispy pizza crust croutons and the chunky and creamy dressing. Free refills on the soda is nice as well. And if you’d like to class it up a little more with a glass of wine or beer, they’ve got that too. Give Pizza CS a try brick oven pizza lovers.

This is my mother’s favorite pizza place in Rockville, and I know there are some good competitors out there(delicious pizza from an overpriced grocery store off 355, I’m looking at you!). I’ve yet to travel to the wondrous food haven that is Italy, but my parents compared the quality and taste to the pizzas they had in the South of Italy. It’s better to eat the pizza in-house because it’s so thin that by the time you get home it may be soggy. Better to eat it immediately as it comes out, how it’s meant to be eaten. Writing this review made me really hungry. Obviously it comes recommended ;)

I had read the reviews but was still surprised to find Pizza CS located in a mostly boarded up shopping center in an empty back lot near Hooters. Huge props to the marketing department for making the best of the location with a simple interior and good looking graphics. 2 of us came in here on a cold weekday during dinner rush and were the only customers in the whole place for most of our meal. That doesn’t exactly reassure first time visitors, but I was confident from Unilocal reviews that I’d have a good meal We ordered the proscuitto($ 15.50) and sonia($ 13.50) — a little on the pricier than I had expected, but overall solid pizza. The proscuitto was amazing and had a ton of arugula on it. The sonia was a little too salty for me but mainly because there were so many olives. The 2 of us were completely stuffed after eating about 1.5 pizzas and had to take the last bit to-go. I would definitely come back here to try get the proscuitto again and try some of the other pizzas!
